We've come a long way from not being able to make enough money in Gen 1, to just literally throwing away money in newer gens.
The item printer at max rank makes so much money, 30BP can very quickly turn into 500K pokedollars
Yeah if you do some online union circle stuff you get lots of BP very quickly. I have 26k after doing enough to get the 12 group quests.
The limiting factor is going to be TM materials.

Considering how garbage most of the limited customization was this gen, I had an insane amount of money (whereas gen 6,7, and 8 I had to grind to get all the good drip)

1: you need to finish staff all street in the main game.
2: unlock penny’s room but watching her spy on team star members at the end of the main game
3: clear the indigo disk
4: Complete ONE optional class up to the Final Exam.

The big key here is "ONE Optional class - up to FINAL EXAM"
I love that it references deep cut characters like Essentia/Emma and Ryuki! (the dragon gloves)
Thats where the dragon gloves are from. I was hoping they'd be like the Galar dragon gym gloves.
You can also get a special outfit by battling Drayton by talking to him in the League Lounge post game.

I don't know, Eri without the wild silvery hair and piercing eyes looks very plain by comparison.
@GreenDinoRanger Mela on the other hand looks amazing in normal clothes. Her Team Star outfit may be charming, but it also looks so goofy for her to be taken seriously.

@@sekaihunter9378 She looks fine, except for her strange military walk that she still has. I thought originally she walked like that because the stupid boots were solid and she couldn't bend her knees, but now that she still walks that way she looks very... World War 2.
The Essentia Helmet is actually a crazy good addition, happy 10th Anniversary X&Y. Your main plot might suck but the Looker Bureau plot was really touching for what it was.
It's too bad school uniforms don't go with sentai style helmets at all.

I love how they didn't change Mela's walking animation, she walks like she still has her big 'above the kneecap' boots on. Its pretty funny.
I'm surprised that Penny's Eevee backpack wasn't included in the DLC.
I'm glad I did all the classes during the main game.
The Ball Guy helmet would be better(and funnier) if it was the giant mask like the original. On a related note, I wish the Mustard Dojo outfit was brought back with this DLC. It was my favorite in Sword and Shield.
I was so stoked doing this over the weekend and seeing Ball Guy helmet pop up!
There is more clothing - but it is tied to the invites of the gym leaders and beating them. Geeta's gloves, Iono's case etc.
Do they all give items or just some?
@Iono_vtuber they all give items after beating them in battle, but not all of them give clothing as their item.
Drayton gives the best outfit in the game imo
8:25 this is the same helmet that was in the looker quest from pokemon X and Y which is worn by a girl with a espurr.
Hey! Just wanted to say that there's even more hidden clothing that can be unlocked, and it's all linked to the League Clubroom. For example, if you rematch the dragon tyoe user of the elite four, he'll give you a tracksuit. Same goes for certian special coaches, but only if you battle them. The third time you invite a coach they'l only give you a trade. Some people like Mr. Clavell or whatever his name was will give you Clive's wig, and the person wearing blue and black that you fight at the end of the base gane elite four will give you elite gloves.

The Team Star stumped be because all the guides mentioned that you have to do a final exam (don’t actually know if you have to go through a class that far but I did) and beat the main story and Indigo Disk, but didn’t mention having to see Penny’s scenes before you can do the new story. Glad I had to though since I was invested in the Team Star story and it was nice to see their epilogues.
Also worth mentioning you get a free Gold Bottle Cap if you get all the answers right in the study session.
The part where you cut to future Austin shaking his head absolutely killed me! Ha ha
I don't know if you are waiting for the final Coaches to be available (likely after the epilogue on the 11th), but there are some outfit options acquired via the coaches as well!
I don't know if this should be included in the list but draton's uniform can be obtained by talking to him in the club room
Hey Austin if you do end up getting the older guy or older lady in the auction you can actually just withdraw. Withdrawing will cause the clothing to rotate if you still have other clothing you haven't bought, but it doesn't go away and you can still obtain it. So you can withdraw to change the other people who are bidding or if you only want a specific piece then you can just rotate through without buying the rest of the clothing.

Underrated comment, since Austin didn't recognize some of the references. Only one I didn't know myself was the Dragon Gloves, wow Ryuki is a strange one to call back to haha

Oh my gosh, I saw I needed to talk to those two team star members but I had no idea they would be in regular clothes so I was just running around the entire floor trying to find them in their usual, chaotic, outfits and gave up after I couldn’t. I figured it was a bug that they weren’t showing up but now I see I just didn’t recognize them because they look like any other student
I love the clothing options in sword and shield, i have yet to find an outfit i like in SV
RIGHT? it's so sad. I fight every day on this game to find an outfit that isn't boring
USUM had better outfits than swsh imo, but at least I could find something I liked in swsh
The only outfit I like so far in SV is the JInbei one. Everything else is either meh or nope.

I can tell you that I did the Team Star storyline this morning, and the only class I had finished was Biology. That might be the only one that needs to be done.
If you are still looking for what triggers the 2 team star members to appear in the lobby in order to start the auction side quest I found that it unlocks you finish all of the penny side quests where you follow her friends around to see how they are doing.
They shouldve gave us the suits as well like the team magma and aqua suits that go with the helmets, and the expansion suit, and the ball guy outfit
The lack of actual clothing customization even compared the sword and shield actually hurts my soul hopefully they do better next generation
I hope so too, but given how lazy the Pokémon Company has gotten, I wouldn't hold my breath. Times like this I wish Pokémon was on PC. At least then the modding community could spice things up
It's not laziness the creator/lead of the games has literally said he wanted it to be an x and y exclusive feature and hates adding it in.
It's fully intentional to remove things we love because that idiot thinks each game needs something unique to keep it relevant. Game freak is ridiculous.
@nerdycurls6253 If that's true, that's even worse. Well, he's gonna realize that the mass majority of fans WANT lots of clothing options. Sometimes decking out your own character is just as important as choosing the right team. Seriously competitive trainers look like arse this gen. At least before there was a good selection of drip to choose from to mix things up. Now it's just bland Amish school clothes, random mismatch accessories that don't go well with said school outfits, a festival school get up that should have been a full fledged Kimono (while different ones are worn for different occasions, they are still considered unisex) and Slightly better school uniforms via Blueberry Academy. Gen 10 better deliver on clothing again, or I may drop the mainline series games all together going forward (lack of clothing ain't my only criticism)
I went to multiple videos trying to figure this out until I found a link, even though I had to do a lot of digging on my own to get my event to trigger, I appreciate you for explaining what you have to do to trigger this event so others can get the rewards sooner and less stressed
Man what did you do because I’ve done all of this classes, starfall street, rematched them, beaten the game, beaten both dlcs, talked to penny (she is now in her dorm chilling with her eeveelutions on her computer)
On my scarlet I didn't do any of the classes but did all the post game. How I got it to show up was just finishing one class then leaving the area and coming back and they should be there. Make sure you do the post penny thing too where you go around checking on them first.

I love how we get the Ultra Recon Squad’s glasses, and everyone for some reason thinks they’re Team Flare’s (not you of course, lol). You can see they’re the same glasses Zossie has on her character art.
Also, is ‘Leader’s Bag’ a Marnie refrence?
Oooh, ooh! I forgot to mention you can wear the Uptra Glasses under the Magma/Aqua Helmets! It may not look like it at first in the outfit editor, but when you change the map I’ve had the glasses pop up inside the suit helmets. No clue if the Replica E suit does it though.
There are also ghost shoes you can get from Ryme. They actually seem neat, but I haven't done the post game indigo disk battles yet to obtain them.

It's only one class that needs finishing including the finals did this one last night with just Art completed
I have only completed 1 class. I 100%'d the History class including talking to the teacher afterwards and speaking with Penny in the entrance hall. I have discovered that those 2 team Star members became available after following Penny around to gain access to her room but I only have 1 class completed and now have access to this content. I hope this helps in your testing.
I just leveled up 1 class to taking the mid term, which did nothing. 2 to the mid term, nothing. 3 to the midterm (focusing biology/history/math), nothing. As soon as i got completely through biology and took the final and passed it, they showed up. I would max out 1 class and pass the final as a good start for those curious!
I had no idea about the Atticus auction stuff! It's a good thing I've been saving up a lot of money, because wow that stuff is expensive ^^'
I spent over one million in purchasing all of them.

Just so you know. For the Atticus auctions you can just concede the bid and just restart to get a new selection of auction opponents. I did this every time to avoid the 2 1.8x multipliers cause they just jacked the prices way too much. I knew that if I got the 2 kids it was gonna be 200k minimum, if I got the 2 young people it would be 220k minimu, and if I got the 2 well fed people it would be 240k minimum. Then once I knew the minimum for the ones I was facing it was all about setting em up to where I would be able to place that minimum and thus win. Worst case I would have to pay 5k more than the minimum.
Just a bit of info, you don’t need to catch the loyal three or do the blood moon ursaluna quest to access the indigo disk. But important note, you won’t be able to catch the new paradox pokemon unless you do the blood moon quest.

Do we know if the traded pokemon we get from coaches are shiny locked ? I know about the shiny blitzle at the end, but I'm wondering if we can SR for the other trades .

Fun Fact: At 8:24, this headgear was shown in Pokemon Generations, supposedly in the Kalos Region, Emma was under the control of this helmet, and was eventually set free with the help of her Espurr and Looker. In the games, you actually battle her when she has that helmet on, being called Essentia
I been trying to unlock this post event as well and all I did was fully finish one of the classes (I finish the lenguajes class) and after I got my reward for completing the class I finally unlocked this event about the hidden merch. 🎉

2:10 I hadn't done any classes before this. To get the characters to show up it just requires one of any class to be completed plus your other mentioned requirements.
The expansion helmet is from the post game for XY where you had to chance this person around who wore a special suit
fwi: the dragon gloves are a reference to Ryuki from sun and moon and the ultra glasses are a reference to the ultra recon squad

WOAH WAIT, EXPANSION SUIT HELMET?! That's the Essentia helmet from the XY postgame! The Ultra Glasses are also from the Ultra Recon Squad in USUM.
These new accessories are amazing, but I'm sad that we don't have access to Penny's Eevee backpack! Marnie's bag is cool though. I'll 100% be picking up the Essentia helmet since it's like, the ONLY Kalos related thing we have from the DLC outside of returning Pokemon. Really makes you wonder how Atticus knows about it though...

The Replica Expansion Helmet looks good with Drayton clothing he gives you.
From my Understanding and own research to be able to get Giacamo and Eri to appear to start the Tutor sidequest you must:
•Have completed the base game of SV
•Fully Clear 1 Entire class all the way and pass the Final
• Do the post game section of base SV ending in the Academy Ace Tournament.
•Do the post game dialog track with Penny to be able to be allowed In her Dorm.
•Complete the Story of the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk (I.E Catch Ogrepon and Terapagos)
About the team star event:
I read somewhere that you have to complete at least one of the classes up to the final exam
So thanks to the Printer I have max money it’ll be easy to get these
You have to have completed at least One course to the final test. I didn’t have it available at first, and it became available when I finished biology. Hope this helps!

If you intend to get all the items (there are 8,) then every time you start an auction, look for anyone with gray hair and if they’re there, just leave. You can just restart a new auction, though the item may change. There is 1 gray hair with the 1.2 multiplier who is ok, but it’s just easier to remember gray hair imo. Should be able to get every item for 1.76m to 1.92m using this strat.
Figured it out - Instead of doing classes - ignore that entirely. Go to the computer and look for the rooms Penny is in - follow her through the two or three rooms while she spies on her crew members until she invites you to her Dorm room - once that happens, the two people from her crew are plain clothed and in the entrance.

Not so much secret clothing, but I did find another "secret" (two kinda): the Pokemon Sync and the rare items at the top of the Terrarium crystal ball thingy. Not sure what the full potential of the Sync is yet. Any video on that or other neat things you can miss in the ID?

Since the item printer can get you the same as the rare auction stuff and more. Wasting money on clothing auctions isn't a problem
i came here after i finished the dlc, i think only completed one class(not more than that) during my initial playthrough and i got penny cutscene in the library to start this quest

Idk if this helps but in my game, I only did Penny's dialog and they didn't show up however I never did any classes so I went through and intended on completing all the classes however once I fully completed history they showed up. Might be you just need to have one fully completed class and Penny's post game dialogue though I'm unsure.
i've only done the history class on my save and the team star quest popped up for me, i think you just need to have one class done
I have a favor to ask, could your bring a video which pokemon from the two dlc's are now viable for Raids? I only use my Fried Fish, Iron Hands, Azumarill and Annihilape. These are good but I'm tried to use them all the time, i need something fresh

You could’ve simple withdrawn from the auction and tried again if you got bad npcs, you do not “lose” the item he was selling, it only leaves the “pool” of clothing sold when you actually buy it. I bought all of mine for around 250k

The Replica Dragon Gloves are based on that rocker dragon guy in Sun and Moon.
Seems like the requirement is being able to view Penny's dorm, and then having completed at least one final exam for a class. I just ran through both of those events and the team star members appeared in the entrance hall.
