Eri actually looks completely different, didn't recognize her at first. Giacomo and Ortega look basically the same, just with different clothes and as for Mela, well the hair gives it away. Also I love how she still does that awkward walk even though she is not wearing her boots. It's like she literally forgot how to walk without them. Pretty damn wholesome sidestory overall, thanks for posting.

You know, I could never really picture any of the Team Star bosses getting bullied because of how badass they looked. It's alot easier to imagine now that I've seen them out of their costumes

Atticus is the only one who could pull off that orange covered outfit lol, he makes it work well. Giacomo surprised me, not because of the outfit change, his was pretty close to standard to start with, but he actually has a head full of hair; his concept art shows him with a massive bald spot under the cap.

and Giacomo is italian for "James"

He was pretty much leader of student council and a stickler for the rules pre-Team Star, it was why he got bullied but also why he was the one entrusted to make the team’s code (and his DJ hobby allowed him to freely make music for them on the side…I love that the battle theme is canonically his composition).
Finally someone posts a vod of the Team Star leaders. I’m pleasantly surprised we get to see them. I wish they were featured more often

@@SelfieMasters the graphics look crisp if I’m being honest, especially for aging hardware like the Switch. Although I will say it’s maybe a bit too crisp for Pokémon. I’m almost certain the graphics had some part to play in poor performance
@fist-of-doom487 exactly ! i have said since release that these would genuinely be the best pokemon games ever released if they were given another year or so in the oven for optimizations and such. its a shame that genuinely good games are hidden behind a slew of bugs and perfromance issues

As a engineering student who just graduated and the fact that Ortega appears to be a STEM kid (he made the starmobiles afterall), the fact that he struggles with literature and explaining why things happen in lengthy detail is so relatable!
We're good with numbers and patterns, not writing and describing/interpreting things, especially feelings 😂

Eh, I find that bs, especially since science writing is the most ponderous, unreadable shit of all. I myself am a Biochem major, but I hate reading scientific papers with a passion.
I honestly think all STEM majors should be required to take several writing courses in order to write shit that's actually communicable to humans while still containing all the relevant info.

Can we talk about ATTICUS? Honestly he's the one who surprised me the most. He's such a gentleman now, both for the way he talks and the clothes he wears. Overall, I really like the facf GameFreak decided to letting us know them a little better. They would deserve a spin-off game

Honestly Team Star kids could be in a different game future as Gym leaders or cameo characters if Gamefreak really wanted.
They have a splash of personality and a type association. They could cameo in with new Pokemon while they do some overseas trips.

acording to leaks they will be involved in the pecharunt event for the future mythic pokemon quest not sure yet if it be dlc or actual timed event for it like celebi in hgss was
Playing through it right now won't spoil, you need the dlc to access it but it itself isn't dlc, I'll give you my thoughts on it later.@@BeanSparrow
They sort of did, just as Penny had hers where she worries over Team Star reintegrating into school and keeps watching over them. We basically follow them to different points of the school and they admit they either feared losing friends (Nemona) or wanted to find their own path after learning more about the professors (Arven).

I love Eri so much! I love the fact her face looks so elegant and beautiful in the thumbnail but then you see her body and she’s both swol and huge! God she’s is such a fun character!
Not to mention, being a user of one of the best types in the game

Mela is just so adorable when she's not trying to be scary, and Eri really did dye her hair and had contact lens for her looks. Atticus keeps being pretty. Giacomo and Ortega are really the only ones you have no trouble recognizing immediatly. XD
Very happy with Eri's design, she was the best one in their OG designs as well.

Mela without the makeup, boots, curly hair, and the fun outfit was really shocking and she comes off as another character entirely. She looks like a pouty cute gremlin. I answered her first question wrong, It reveals she knows the answers, she just doesn't feel motivated and had nothing to aspire to. So you do realize she's smart, but unlike Ortega and Atticus, she's definitely not applying herself, because she feels it isn't worth it.

Man, Eri looks COMPLETELY different without her wrestler get-up. Meia looks quite different too, but not to the extent that Eri does.
I love the little details you notice if you pay attention here. Toby fo- I mean Giacomo seems to have an easier time due to previously being Student council president, Eri dyed her hair and put on contacts for her costume, Mela still walks like she's wearing her boots as if it's been ingrained into her memory, etc.

Seems here Ortega is suffering in... I never met the literature teacher, or even knew we had one. Anyway, Mela's weakspot is Biology with Prof. Jacq and Atticus's weakspot is math with Ms. Tyme. Atticus made the Team Star outfits he should know how much material he would need and how much it would cost to make each one.
And it's nice to see them get back into school life after 18 months.
FYI Paldean winds episode 3 features Eri who’s such a sweetie. She and Giacomo are my favorite leaders

Sence team star was not the typical bad team and wer just labelled bad for standing up to bullies. It's nice they got a poste game story. Practicley everry uther team was a bunch of bad guys that just served as main game villians with no need for annything afterwards. The new idias of the team not realy being bad and all just made a need to conect with them and see them as they wer before. Good job gamefreek. You tried something new and it worked.

Why Am I Not Surprised With The Couple Old Friends Of Penny!
Even in the Trailers I knew that even though Mela was hidden I had a hunch that we were going to see team star without their outfits and in the scarlet/Violet uniforms I love that they used the dlc uniform for team star because I feel that even though we don’t have casual clothing options in this game the DLC updated uniforms and Blueberry academy uniforms are way more casual and more fun to wear in the game than the original uniforms, discounting the winter uniform because even though I hate formal wear I like the sweater look of it and the spring uniforms sweater as well as the Fact that Eri and Mela are both beautiful and Atticus is just the best boy that he looks and reminds me of Caitlin’s butler Daruch and of Wallace a bit and feel as though if he was willing to have a Gallade it would fit perfectly with him.
As someone who really loved team star in the base game, the half-second shots we got of Giacomo and Mela were enough to fuel so many theory ramblings.
Mostly, I was excited to see them again, especially with the promise of new outfits.

I just did this quest a few hours ago and it was honestly nice, now I can wear the team star helmet with the 1 million dollar kitakami outfit and the blueberry academy backpack for all 3 regions representation lol.

That’s what i expect from Eri if she ever remove the paint from her face. But Mela, her hair changed, she doesn’t wear makeup, and doesn’t weak a choker anymore, now she looks so cute in comparison lmao. Unfortunately she’s going to walk like that for the rest of her life now.
To be fair, I understand Mela. My knees got messed up a while ago, and I ended up developing a bit of a weird walk (less bending at the knees, more using momentum to move forwards) and it took me a while to realize I still did it even without my knees hurting anymore.
First year and already becoming a Professor lol, also Mela is so funny when she walks as always.
Anyways I'm happy for these kids.

the only thing i think that is blocking me from the cutscene is the base post game cutscenes with penny and team star at the academy. my problem is i can’t get that event to trigger. so. yeah.
i haven’t been able to find anything on it but when i get the chance today im going to rematch team star and see if that helps. And yes. I did the thing with briar’s book as well.
