*Great air pump **MyBest.Tools** Faster than my old plug in pump and twice as handy without having to drag the cord around. And it works with my existing Ryobi drills battery.*
I have a ton of Ryobi Tools, one of the best things about them, they've kept the same Battery configuration for YEARS, I can use my 8 year old tools made for the NiCD packs, now with the Li-On packs.
Me too. As a group of pro-sumer tools they are great. And I have the 6 batt charger/maintainer and exta batts + the other style batts. I have a separate "real" corded impact wrench and other tools but the Ryobi stuff handles 85% of everything. I have 2 off-road cars and the Ryobi's really cover the gammit of home/work/play at reasonable price. All Yellow.
I still have some of the blue Ryobi tools. They still work great! I own the hot glue gun and the power inflator. I have to remember the trick with holding the trigger down for the inflator.
I am a huge fan of Ryobi tools. The Ryobi drain auger has saved me a lot of plumbing bills when my kiddos stop up toilets. Also, Ryobi does pretty well with yard tools as well. I recently purchased their 12 inch bar 18v chainsaw when a truck crashed into my backyard and toppled a tree. It works great, though you do need one of the 4 amp battery packs to get the power you need.
Im a dewalt guy but I bought this and a battery adapter to use my dewalt batteries. I caulked about 75-80 tubes in one day on a floor I was doing a custom grooved caulked grout line on. I still had 2 bars out of 3 on my 4 ah battery. Its well worth the $50
I have blue complete set and half of earlier green ones but they all have been absolute workhorses they keep on going no matter how much I use them I have dropped the drills from over 6-8ft onto cement multiple times and never hurt them at all.
December 2022 here: The must-have Ryobi tool I would add to this list is the Ryobi Stick Vacuum. The one I purchased was $199 at Home Depot and included a 4.0mAh capacity 18volt battery, wall charger, the stick vacuum itself with a single roller brush, and also a dustbuster-style handheld vacuum (which I have not used yet). For an additional $100 there's a model that includes a dual roller brush, but I don't think it's necessary unless you have to deal with a lot of women or pet hair. One of my favorite features is that it lets you remove the "stick" tube in the center so it can be used as a compact roller-brush vacuum for things like vehicle interiors, stairways, etc. without the length of a full size vacuum. The LED light is nice for dark areas and the swivel head works well for getting under couches at strange angles. My only real "complaint" is that the bin fills up quickly, but maybe that just means I haven't been keeping my house clean! Even if you don't get a Ryobi, do yourself a favor and get a stick vacuum!
Have to say I have been happy with my Ryobi One+ tools. Cordless drill, hand vacuum, tire inflator, weed whacker, leaf blower. I have my eye on the work lights for future. The circular saw is anemic but I only got that because it was part of a kit with the drill cheaper than the drill by itself when I needed the drill. They may not be the best for intense every day construction crews but for DIY intermittent home use they have an amazing bang for the buck.
You may think that, bit if you take the Ryobi HP line up and put it against Milwaukee etc, they keep up and are just as tough, perfect example, I raced my Ryobi HP compact recip saw vs the fuel hackzall and there was no discernable difference between the two, I have quite a few of the HP tools I use daily at work plumbing day in and day out
I can highly recommend the Ryobi One+ Volume Inflator R18VI-0 you use it for blowing up air beds and such but I have found its brilliant for air cleanup after a day working with my mitre saw in my workshop the airflow is strong enough to move even rough sawdust...Its light and doesn't require a big battery plus the trigger locks on so clean up is a breeze.
My Ryobi caulk gun does retract the plunger about 1/4 inch every time I let off the trigger. No waste. Love it, it will save your hands and wrists!! And the inflator is the best I've ever used for a portable.
I have the inflator, its now self destructing after years of use, so no complaints from. Its a consequence of the form factor and price point. I love its convenience for auto tires and bikes with Shrader valves.
Been using the brushless lithium weed whacker for 2 Alaska summers. Works great, loads easy, battery charges in one hour and lasts a long time. Satisfied.
Just purchased a Ryobi PEX plumbing clamp crimping tool. for stainless steel PEX clamps. Nothing out there like it. Has a calibration function as well. I cannot imagine a DYI'er not having some sort of Ryobi power tool with rechargeable batteries and charger. What I like about Ryobi is the innovative tools and less expensive, yet quality batteries. Also, I agree with the previous commenter that Ryobi tools are far less expensive than Amazon which by the way making returns and exchanges much easier.
Ryobi 10" 18v brushless chain saw, should be on your list somewhere. Very nice to have for small jobs so you don't have to get out the gas full size chain saw...
Ryobi has another inflator that is a bit larger. It does high pressure for tires and hvlp for mattresses and other inflatables. You program the pressure and press start. It also isn't very loud. I have the 3/8" impact drive. Sound a bolt of my snap on failed to remove. I have high end tools and some that most would claim are absolute junk. To which I reply they work. I have invested in Ryobi tools for a couple reasons. Never had a tool break, under perform, or disappoint. The they have invested in the 18volt platform with backward compatibility to the original 18v tools. Even the old NiCD batteries had good battery life. No one else has done that to my knowledge.
When I think about it, there are very few Ryobi tools that I would consider excellent, (nailers and circular saws mostly), but they almost all seem to do the job at 1/2 to 1/3 the price of professional tools and they go on doing the job even when used hard. The nailers just seem to work well, and the circular saws are so light and cheap. I considered buying the Milwaukee 5 3/8” M12 saw until I realized that my old Ryobi 6.5” saw was already lighter and just doesn’t want to die.
I couldn't agree more with this comment. Their circ saws and Airstrike nailers are a great entry point into their battery platform. From there they have so many solid and cheap tools that are outstanding for what you pay for them.
Gotta give the HP lineup a try, I use them daily doing plumbing professionally and they keep up with the "name brand" tools and they are every bit as tough in my experience of daily pro use for over a year, while I've had some guys go through an impact or a hackzall in well less than a year (my buddy is on his 3rd hackzall in 2 years)
Just wanted to mention that you can extend the time usage by using a 4 or better still a 5aH battery, it looks like the one you was using was a 2aH battery. Think of it this way; think of the voltage as an engine, the bigger the engine the more power (not that power is an issue in a glue gun) so if you get a 9 or 12v battery for power tools you ain’t got much grunt, but if you have a 18 or 24 volt battery you get bigger grunt, just like the engine. Now, the aH is like the size of your gas tank, the bigger the tank the more gas you can put in so the further it goes, with the batteries the bigger the aH the bigger the power storage so the longer it lasts. Hope that helps. My advice is only buy the 5aH batteries, the last for ages and ages on my impact driver. I
A tip for pumping air. Don’t use a high pressure, low volume pump (intended for tires and sport balls) for inflating air mattresses and floaties. The extended run time will shorten the life of the pump and is a frustrating wait. Spend $8 on a 12 volt mattress inflator. Plug in to your car and inflate a mattress in about one minute. It’s a high volume, low pressure blower. Also available in a battery powered version.👍
The brad nailer is one of the best on the market. Watch the compare and contrast against the Milwaukee here on the ytube. Love the thing and it was the only reason I bought Ryobi. But since then I have added the 5.5 circular saw, Orbital sander and drill driver (came with the saw). I have Dewalt and Kobalt cordless tools as well but the Ryobi tools have so far been just as good. Especially the awesome brad nailer. I was originally going to buy the Ridgid nailer but after some research got sold on the Ryobi. Glad I did.
The brad nailed should be on this list, a little more pricey than the others here but I use it more than most the Ryobi products I have, I primarily use Ryobi as I’m not using it in a construction setting just usual home owner repair situations, thanks for the video, gonna go get me the hot glue gun next
I love that you appreciate a different brand than you are used to. I have all these tools,, they do work really well. These should be standard items on all modern houses. Good for you- and as always, tool users need to adapt to the tools they use. Lots of this about Ryobi I can pan- but they are typically top line tools. Yes Milwaukee will be a little better in some areas. Yes Bosch is heavier duty. But I will build ANYTHING in the world with Ryobi. I've fashioned custom aluminum motorcycle foot pegs for my wife using nothing but a drill press and Ryobi tools.
I have the original Ryobi ni-cad blue colored caulk gun before the Ryobi One + and it does retract when you release the trigger, I can't believe Ryobi chose to do away with this feature. The inflator is a must have if you own a bicycle, wheel barrow or lawn tractor the tires are always flat when you need to use it.
Great interesting They are good i have two of the tools and glad i bought them glue gun i use most days and same with tyre pump. I also have Ryobi half inch wrench that’s a great tool for the price and a Ryobi strimmer
I have found that the caulk gun relaxes when I release the trigger. Caulk and glue tubes that keep extruding have an air bubble inside the gets compressed during operation and keeps pushing product out until the pressure equalizes.
I have Dewalt battery tools and did not want to want to have two systems, but as far as I know, Ryobi is the only one to make a battery inflator. I also like the idea of having a battery glue gun. The tools are reasonably priced but if you also need to buy a battery and charge it's quit expensive. I found a great solution I was looking for something to replace my Dust Buster because owning 3, every few months the internal battery would not recharge. Well, it tunes out Ryoai makes a small handheld vac that comes with a small external battey and is charged through the vac. The little battery works with the inflator and is strong enough to pump a full-size Jeep tire. My glue gun use is usually for a fix usually not more than 15 minutes so the small battery is fine.
I use the inflator as a commercial plumber to inflate test seals but i have a ball chuck attached to a schrader adapter ...becareful as no pressure release with this setup. can easily blow out the inflator with accidental trigger presses
I'm not a fan of Ryobi tools either because if there is a way to shave a penny off of the cost, they will find a way to do it. Having said that, for the money, I love my Ryobi hand-held inflator, it has held up to about two years of regular use because I read the instruction manual and don't run it for more than 10, (usually less), minutes at a time so as not to melt the plastic piston. I also like the hot glue gun, but even with the built-in check valve mine drips too. I caught the impact wrench on sale a few years ago for $100 with the 4Ah battery and charger and it's a great mid-torque, three-speed wrench. I also have the AirStrike 18ga brad and 18ga stapler guns and consider them to be professional quality tools at a good price, (the 23ga pin nailer stinks!). Ryobi didn't seem to cut any corners on those two tools. One Ryobi tool that I like, but I feel it is way over-priced is the 18V brushless chainsaw. It's great if you don't have much cutting to do, but again, it is not a good value. The 40V Ryobi chainsaw can be had for less money and is a better saw, but I didn't want another battery platform - I have about a dozen now which is the reason I've been buying Ryobi tools.
Great video! I don't have the glue gun but I have the other two. My caulk gun must auto-retract because it has never continued to ooze. I've used several types of caulk and construction adhesive and never had an issue.
it drips a bit after using it or buy one that does the same job but doesn't drip but is 3 times the price hmmm I think I'd still be going with the Ryobi. I agree with the inflator as being a great buy. For $25 more I bought the newer version that has the auto on auto off when you reach the desired pressure, love it! Thanks for the review!
Ryobi tools are awesome, but remember the power of the tools is there battery. keep an eye on Home Depot for their starter kits that come with 2 3ah batteries, you basically get a free tool and charger for the price of a 2 pack of 3ah batteries. If you can afford them I recommend you go with their new brushless line. If you are working with saws get some strong batteries. I only use 6ah and 9ah batteries on my saws and they will handle anything my 2 1/4 hp corded saw will.
I have the old blue cordless pump and it is great. It has trigger lock and auto shut off pressure setting however I like to bicycle and I think that the smaller form factor will fit in my pannier's without being too bulky. I looked at one in home depot just the other day and had to remind myself I have a cordless pump so don't double dip. So what I will do is wait till I have return and put the store credit toward that purchase.
I just bought a Ryobi circular saw, but it did not come with a laser or dust chute as pictured on the box and as printed in the manual. Thinking of exchanging it for one with those features; not a big deal, as I just follow the pencil line I've marked the wood with and end up vacuuming or sweeping the sawdust anyway. Otherwise, it seems to work fine.
I had one of those tire inflators and it began to internally destruct after a few uses but my old blue model is still kicking fine except the poor air Chuck head that had to be replaced. Unless mine was a fluke I wouldn't recommend the tiny model tire inflator. It has plenty power but it began making a horrible rattling hammering noise inside after maybe 2 full car tire inflation worth of use. Other than that and also having a poor Chuck it could've been a great tool.
Does the glue gun have a way to maintain heat at the tip, like a "standby" mode? With my plug-in gun, it heats up when you plug it in, then the trigger feeds the glue, so it stays hot, ready to go, as long as it is plugged in. Will the cordless do something like that?
The air pump is a beast used it for a yr. And i mean over used it worked fine, what happened to it got stolen trying to find new one hard to find. tools on line are not new most of the time and see if your warranty good , lol its not lol
Check out the 23ga. I bought it bc it was the first cordless 23 I ever seen and after a yr of use I picked up the 18ga and 16ga and I'll tell you what..they haven't let me down once. I'm a HUGE Milwaukee fan. The amount of money I have cordless tools and batteries would make some people sick but Milwaukee cordless guns and straight garbage. Team green on cordless trim guns all day long!
My old blue ryobi caulking gun reverses slightly when i let off the trigger. Im really surprised this one doesnt . Are you sure about that ? Does work great with roofing cement or thick caulking. ... the old blue that is
I have the inflator, paid $19.99 without the battery of course. Its awesome, its cheap enough to keep around so dont feel guilty about only using it occasionally.
$49 Ryobi battery starter kit at Home Depot plus the glue gun is $29.97 for a grand total of $78.97 to get yourself into the glue gun setup if you don't already have a battery. Not anywhere near $150.
Hi i dont know if your Problem with the adhesive gun is a problem that ryobi got rid of or if it is only sold like this in the us but i dougt that, my gun is reversing a littlebit after i take my finger of the trigger
The Ryobi Days special going on right now at Home Depot is you buy a kit that includes two of their newest 3 Ah batteries and a charger and choose from about twenty different tools for free. So buy the two batteries, get, say, a $69 jigsaw for free, and that extra battery will run your glue gun for twice as long as the battery you've got now. I forgot to mention that the battery kit is only $99 (Ryobi Days special price).
True. I just cleared out my local Lowes of their 3AH Porter-Cable batteries they had on clearance a couple weeks ago for $8 IIRC. Pulled one apart and its got LG 1300ma 18650's. Not the newest, high power ones, however since I just wanted the 18650's from a reputable manf., this is great. BTW, Lowes is going to stop carrying PC, so keep an eye out if you're looking for PC deals.
I don't know about anyone else, but I bought the inflator and it ruined sensors in our vehicle tires on two different cars. I found no warning in the literature and even contacted Ryobi and received no reply. So be careful with the inflator tool. I will not use it on a vehicle tire with sensors again.
Yes the Glue gun is a favorite. Caulk gun is good for A/B epoxy tubes where you need the muscle. Inflator - get the P731 set and forget feature. Best Ryobi tools are cordless nailers however. The pin and 15ga especially. Ryobi battery consistency and wide range of tools got me over the pukey color of the nailers. If they made them in pink they could be both ugly and theft-proof LOL.
Ryobi is great but I think they have a toddler pricing there items you can buy a drill and battery with charger for 70 bucks but a drill impact battery and charger is 80. Or a ratchet for 80 but with battery its 90 a battery on it's own is 50 buck but if you buy a 2 pack of the big battery its 70 or just 1 big battery for 65
@@chemicallust77 amazon is reretail so someone get it from homedepo and than doubles the price and puts it on amazon so you pay double some thing goes for Ebay
Where did you get your prices from? Right now the glue gun is $25 at Home Depot, and $70 for a battery and charger set, less than half what you quoted. The inflator is also $10 less than you state, being $20 instead of 30, and the caulk gun is $40, not 50.
I have one of the leaf blowers, works great. Mine uses the big battery, 40v 4ah. Also have the lawn mower and snow blower that use the 40v 5ah. I can interchange the batteries with each of those.
I have a impact drill, not cheap at $100 but still cheaper than getting a air compressor/impact wrench. Makes working on cars, riding mower ect many times easier.
The inflator is junk. It gets so hot at the hose that it melts and breaks off inside. Multiple times I've had to open it up to fix it. Then the chuck lever broke. Wound up having to use a hose and screw type chuck from another broken compressor. It basically still works but you can't use it for too long as per their instructions or it'll get too hot.
You say "Generally, I’m not a big fan of Ryobi..." but never offer any reason why. I hate when people do this with tools. We all have tools we like or don't but this passive 'poisoning of the well' is silly. If there is a specific reason not to like the brand then tell us, otherwise why not just talk about the tools themselves?
*Great air pump **MyBest.Tools** Faster than my old plug in pump and twice as handy without having to drag the cord around. And it works with my existing Ryobi drills battery.*

They've committed to basically never change the battery style... which is why I own about 50 tools :)
DeWalt made an adapter so you can use the lithium batteries
I have 28 tools by Ryobi and I'm sure gonna buy the heat gun next. One battery style for the last 16 years.
I still have some of the blue Ryobi tools. They still work great! I own the hot glue gun and the power inflator. I have to remember the trick with holding the trigger down for the inflator.

Why are your shopping on Amazon to get Ryboi products? That unit (hot glue gun) with battery and charger is 69.00 US at homedepot.
Because affiliate links.
That small compressor lasted me about a month before it went belly up.
The caulking gun is wonderful. I have used it a ton.

I have no actual need for one, but I really want the cordless bolt cutters!! Seen it for the first time a few weeks ago, and I still want one!!
Hey, I know that kart! This would be an excellent addition to our pit toolbox, having to haul around a plug-in compressor is a pain!
The battery inflater will wake up the neighbors? But a standard compressor won’t? Hmmm
Depends on the compressor. I have one that is like 58 db. It is quiet enough to talk over and not be hard on the ears.
I have it and it’s not as loud as my compressor at all.
The Harbor Freight Fortress much compressor is quieter
@@JohnRodriguesPhotographer I have the 225 psi fortress and it's not very loud at all
love their garage door opener
I have the PCL001B inflator and love it but it doesn't have the gauge on it.
Can you please do a review between the Ryobi 40v chainsaw vs Kobalt 40v chainsaw?
I have the Ryobi caulk gun, it automatically retracts to take the pressure off the tube when you release the trigger.
Caulk gun is fantastic!
Keep on making these videos
The air pump is a beast used it for a yr. And i mean over used it worked fine, what happened to it got stolen trying to find new one hard to find. tools on line are not new most of the time and see if your warranty good , lol its not lol
My favorite Ryobi tool is the Brad nailer.
Ryobi I wish they put all their tools into one multi-tool table desktop better than the cel power 8 workshop and make it quiet.
I robbed a bank with the RYOBI glue gun
Sounds like a great way to pull a stick-up.
I shot myself in the head
My old blue ryobi caulking gun reverses slightly when i let off the trigger. Im really surprised this one doesnt . Are you sure about that ? Does work great with roofing cement or thick caulking. ... the old blue that is
INFLATOR IS AWESOME
Very helpful, Thank You!
i think your can buy dewalt, milwaukee to ryobi battery adapters, so you can go buy the ryobi tool only.
The pump is a beast 💯% graet 🔧 TOOL !!!!!!!!!
My inflator just sh*t the bed. Only a year old. I only used it occasionally.
caulking gun is great
39 bucks and worth every penny
Hi i dont know if your Problem with the adhesive gun is a problem that ryobi got rid of or if it is only sold like this in the us but i dougt that, my gun is reversing a littlebit after i take my finger of the trigger
That new LED ambient light.
New hybrid fan
Their tool are great it's the batteries that suck.
When the battery dies you might as well by a new tool.
Pex crimp tool.
Only one that makes it
for $13 more you can get the much better air compressor...its a bunch fast for pumping up car tires.
my RYOBI glue gun does not drip at all, in fact, yours must be defective as it has a valve to prevent drips! also, the caulk gun does reverse@!
Or a ratchet for 80 but with battery its 90 a battery on it's own is 50 buck but if you buy a 2 pack of the big battery its 70 or just 1 big battery for 65
DONT BUY RYOBI TOOLS FROM AMAZON, THE ONLY AUTHORIZED DEALER IS HOME DEPOT
And??.....why does that matter?
@@chemicallust77 amazon is reretail so someone get it from homedepo and than doubles the price and puts it on amazon so you pay double some thing goes for Ebay
also if you want to claim on the warranty than if you get from homedepo you just walk in with the receipt and pick up another real simple
Where did you get your prices from? Right now the glue gun is $25 at Home Depot, and $70 for a battery and charger set, less than half what you quoted. The inflator is also $10 less than you state, being $20 instead of 30, and the caulk gun is $40, not 50.
the glue gun should be bought as a 2nd or 3rd ryobi item. i bought a blower set for the battery and the glue gun right after
Probly a keyboard warrior buys all his shit off the internet. Ryobi is expensive on amazon
You could have bought a ryobi 2 3a battery kit with a tool for $100 on sale and bought the glue gun for $30 at home depot
My ryobi caulking gun retracts. Doesn't leak out.
Any clue where to get those Surebonder tips for the Glue Gun? I can't seem to find them.
Thanks
Josh Finkelstein I got mine on Amazon, or go to their website.

Dewalt tire inflator
I saw someone using the leafblower looked okay
I have one of the leaf blowers, works great. Mine uses the big battery, 40v 4ah. Also have the lawn mower and snow blower that use the 40v 5ah. I can interchange the batteries with each of those.
man if you think that is a smooth calk line i would hake to see a poor calk line by you!
I have a impact drill, not cheap at $100 but still cheaper than getting a air compressor/impact wrench. Makes working on cars, riding mower ect many times easier.
Maybe the bug sprayer?
The inflator is junk. It gets so hot at the hose that it melts and breaks off inside. Multiple times I've had to open it up to fix it. Then the chuck lever broke. Wound up having to use a hose and screw type chuck from another broken compressor. It basically still works but you can't use it for too long as per their instructions or it'll get too hot.
The air pump sucks if the hose gets too hot it ruptures. Don't buy any Ryobi tools through Amazon buy from Home Depot
jt stratton read the directions, it has a max duty rate, minute on, ten seconds off kinda crap.
Some tool owners just suck and blame the tools.
jt stratton just as ANY rubber hose under pressure would. Not a Ryobi problem, operator error.
1:29 nobody who does Ryobi uses that cute battery. I don't even own one. I have 6 batteries. 4 4ah and 2 3ah
@Fred Flintstone I want one
What does it say about Ryobi that their best three tools are a hot glue gun, basketball pump, and a caulk gun? LOL.
Lol. He inflated a pickle Rick knock off. 😜
My ryobi caulking gun auto retracts
Mine too.
Mine too. Mine is the old blue one.
Ditto. It does retract, just maybe not as much as the other brands. In any case, more than adequate for my applications.
Same here. Slightly annoying at times when you want to immediately start again but a good feature.
The larger air pump is way better! You set the pressure you want & it auto shuts off,... I hate the new hand vacuum! On/off switch should be a slider!
electric caulking guns dont work half as good as the manual ones if you ask me
Mine has a tendency to use more & not empty completely. In other words... caulking companies should GIVE them away. 📉😎📈
Why are you using so much hot glue?
Got my inflator for $20 at home depot
