- The Greatest Band in the World - comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass - recently began releasing its six-part animated RUclips series called 'Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto.' Each frame of every episode was hand-drawn by Black himself, with every character voiced by Black and Gass. All six episodes feature new Tenacious D songs, culminating in a new album - Post-Apocalypto - out Nov 2nd.

ya it blows my mind why some people thought he was using some vocal helper during concerts, when it really is his own voice and its really awesome haha
Its probably due to stuff that they do for comedic effect at live performances. Like how sometimes Jack lip syncs master exploder and Kyle pretends to play electric guitar parts on an acoustic. I feel like its just silly stage antics like that which make people question how good they actually are.
Underrated? He’s made millions of dollars and performed in front of a billion people. He’s properly rated.

As someone who knows every note and word and microchange to every song in tenacious d, I am extremely jealous and lowkey emotional. Jack black has partially made me who I am today. No one's personality can compare to his in my eyes.

Jack's probably one of the VERY few celebs who doesn't act all high, and mighty, and isn't up on a high horse. He's down here with the rest of us normal folk. I grew up watching all his movies. My two favorite Jack Black movies, are "Envy" with him, and Ben Stiller. And "Saving Silverman" with him, Jason Biggs, and Steve Zahn. I used to watch both of those movies on 📀 over, and over again. And Kyle Gass is one of the most down to earth celebs on the planet. You can tell, he doesn't want fame, probably care if he's rich or not, and just cares about, and loves the music, and just wants to make music for all to enjoy.

I’m not a touchy person but totally wanted to get hugs from them they just seem so warm and vibrant just watching them made me flustered and my face get warm . Their energy just comes right through the screen I imagine it would feel like my face would burst if I ever met them .

Still one of the best shows I've ever seen. History of Tenacious D is my favorite song but they're all amazing, and the new show is incredible! LONG LIVE THE D!

Jack Black has an uncanny way of bridging into literally every genre of entertainment. From live action movies to animations, from music to internet shorts, he's in basically everything. And I just know the guy gets a kick out of going to these types of events hosted by RUclipsrs, just lives for it.
