Amazing, what a feeling of goodness love and freedom! This is one of the best numbers of the 80 for sure. Dance dance danc the night away... hope everyone can feel this music!!!!
This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG! I first heard this in Studio 1 in West Hollywood and couldn't stop playing it in my car. I used to drive all over Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Studio City in Los Angeles after the clubs closed and listen to this heavenly song. I don't know what it is about this song, but it will be forever in my soul I love you VOGGUE!
A good friend says this hit marked the end of classic disco. Having come out on the dance floor a few months later I'll take his word, although after 29 years it seems to me to possess all of the romance and savoir-faire of the genre at its best.
Brings tears to my eyes hearing this again, memories of being 19 or 20 again, massive dance classic in 1981- everyone loved this song- peak hour to being played the last song of the night.
Another victim of disco backlash among other innovative creations of early 80's due to traditional america then censured by radio and billboard hot 100; finally restricted to underground audience, RIP the 12 inch format and its instrumental session, c'est la vie.
way too young.....(snuck into the Disco; only 17, in 1981), but knew this was my life..... "dance,....dancing the night away; everything going right.." well, it DID!" Awesome...memories are everlasting.
This was the highlight song of 1981. By that time, much of disco (by then they called it "dance") music was watered-down, heavy on synths, too fast or just harsh. This song had those sweet violins, innocent lyrics and 124 bpm--perfect for dancing with a partner and making her look lovely.
Or him.... with the smells of "poppers" all over the place..... different venues, did not mean, not experiencing the same feelings.... cheers my friend...
I was very young, I was 15 when I heard this beautiful disco song. The first time I went to dance. I loved her and I still love her, she brings me beautiful memories ... 🎵🎶🎵🎶❤💋🙂
What fun it was dancing to this song it always made me feel good. Now I listen every so often and it just puts me right back to that same feeling again.
There is simply no better song from the era. White shoes, stretch jeans, pods and funky belts. This song is simply awesome and takes me to a time of innocence and it all beginning to happen. Oh.... To be there again..... Mind blowing!!!!!
This is a hit I will always remember this song!!! I was in a club in those days we didn't have all best speakers but this song was a hit. I could listen to this song over and over!!!!!
Wonderful, glorious, unashamed disco heaven. Wish I could have been dancing to this back in the day that some of you are describing. Must have been incredible. Dance music is now so souless :( xxxx
OMG the memories of that song the amount of times I danced to that song in the Glasgow night clubs in the 80s was only 19 but so remember that song very happy memories
Thanks for this ...what a great song so many great memories!! They just don't have this kind of feel good get lost in the music in a good way anymore!!
I'm nearly 64 now and this was the first record (Gay dance) I bought in Manchester, England. It was playing on the dance floor at Hero's night club. I was 21. First night in a gay club 😂❤.
This amazing song was The runway music in 81/82. I was watching "Style with Elsa Klensch" on CNN. The grand dame of fashion journalism made me fall in love with fashion with her style. I even skipped classes just to watch her show. Just found out that she passed away on March 4, 2022. R.I.P. Elsa. Each time I listen to this song it reminds of the glorious times of fashion and music.
oh yeah the world outside may have been crap but in the clubs the music..ah the music...everybody had smiles on their faces as we all danced the night away
This song introduced me to "disco". Danced to it first at "La Palace" in Paris, France in 1980....and then it was a staple at "Studio 54" and even "The Saint" in NYC...great great memories this song brings back!
la premiere fois que je l'ai entendu,c'etait en discotheque il y a 40 ans,j'en 61 et je l'ecoute tous les jours,ca faisait danser tous le monde immediatement excellent
Thank you Mr. Folger. I was lead to this song and once it started playing couldn't believe I had forgotten it for 30 years. It was (is) one of my favorite songs. The strings make me feel like I'm floating. Ah, the good old days.
Fantastic music from Voggue....and yeah me and my friends just danced the night away with this superb beat of music. There's nothing like it when it's danced on the dance floor.
Good times. It was for only a moment in time but we experienced what could never be re-lived as it was like a moment in time that this happened. You could drink in the car on the way to a club so when you arrived you where at the same level the people in the clubs where in. I recall rarely seen a police car on my 20 mile trip to the city. Remembering. (lol).......
The Loft in N. Smithfield, Rhode Island. Lived 4 this song to play~ I remember my heart soaring when the most handsome and sexiest guy in the bar asked me to dance with him. Thanks John Pereira...wherever you are! You made my night spectacular and countless memories of a happiness long forgotten renewed again!
Thanks for posting this Keith!! You know, it really sucks when you like a song, but you don't know the title or the artist and you start browsing around the internet hoping to find the song. But thanks to you, I finally found it! Life continues after a life spent rocking, and it's all good - I hope that your is, too. Be well and I hope that your summer LA memories last a lifetime! peace, Angela Songui
a massive club hit that like most r&b/soul/dance/disco music was ignored by BBC Radio 1. Even top international stars like Donna Summer, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson struggled to have their records added to the Radio 1 playlist
One of the most vibrant and beautiful pieces in Disco Arts music Era, 100 by 100!❤❤❤❤❤
Grande Música, Grande Década

30 years old and still as fresh and fantastic as the day it first saw light.
41 years now..and still..
A good friend says this hit marked the end of classic disco. Having come out on the dance floor a few months later I'll take his word, although after 29 years it seems to me to possess all of the romance and savoir-faire of the genre at its best.
Disco was probably the last best music format. Then Hip-Hop music, as well as Rap and modern R&B music invaded the radio airwaves.
A True classic song 🎶 🎵 🎼 From the Disco 🪩 Era,I am 62 and enjoy it like it was 1981 when it first was played back then👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎶🎵🎼🎶🎵🎼🪩🎵🎶🎼🪩

Que balanço. Que melodia. Linda música .
Brings tears to my eyes hearing this again, memories of being 19 or 20 again, massive dance classic in 1981- everyone loved this song- peak hour to being played the last song of the night.

Me too! It's a wonderful song which also was a big hit here in Brazil.
Another victim of disco backlash among other innovative creations of early 80's due to traditional america then censured by radio and billboard hot 100; finally restricted to underground audience, RIP the 12 inch format and its instrumental session, c'est la vie.
Love This Classic. It is February 2020 and I can still jam to this. Too bad 39 unhappy souls did nor enjoy like we more than 1k have done.♥️🔧
way too young.....(snuck into the Disco; only 17, in 1981), but knew this was my life..... "dance,....dancing the night away; everything going right.." well, it DID!" Awesome...memories are everlasting.
