I kind of dislike how the industry seems to be shifting to 50% white lights or more. They're meant to pop one or two modules to get your attention in the light bars, not be a half of the bloody thing.
It’s interesting that in the UK, our regulations technically prohibit white flashing light for emergency vehicles - except flashing headlights. As the times have changed, of course white grille lights have replaced headlight flashers and flashing spot lights on lightbars are on the rise. Yet, technically they’re illegal, however no one would ever enforce it. This does mean that we’re still quite conservative when it comes to white flashing. Typically, it would just be white grille lights and perhaps the two spot lamps on a lightbar flashing. I’ve yet to see a vehicle with full white lightbar flashing like the truck in this video. Who knows, perhaps one day a private ambulance company will install one and we’ll see how it goes down. It’s worth mentioning that as an emergency driver, I miss the old school headlamp flashers. Occasionally I drive our older vehicles where they’re still fitted and it’s incredible how effective they are compared with the white flashing LEDs. Particularly in bright sunlight, you really can’t beat it.
I don’t mind the white light for scene lighting. And a couple modules in the roof light for travel but amber instead of white would seem to be better lighting. And would be distracting and seem terrible responding durring heavy rain or snow.
@@jaradreed909 with some builds though position 3 has different patterns. Additionally, some won’t have siren activation and the opti-com feature won’t available in position 3.
@@jimmyssnowremoval1075 every build from 911RR I’ve seen has had siren available anytime the vehicle is in drive. And since they build custom to each customer I would assume if they needed an opticom they would either give them a button for it or make it available to them in position 2.
LOVE this truck! Absolutely perfect build. 👏🏻👏🏻

i disagree the annoying flash pattern is doing more disservice to any vehicle than a white light

Why didn't you activate the lights on the bottom of the Truck to illuminate white as Scene Lights too?
Darn amazing looking, well done!
White alternating lights help give a good judgment of distance and get more attention in traffic.

That’s why you can use slide position 2 to turn off the white flashing.
