I agree they should be accepted by banks etc as they have a sterling value and are sold by the royal mint as sterling. The royal mint should not sell coins they claim have a value of £100,£50 or £20 if banks won't accept them from any business. It's great you are raising the issue as you have and yes I've watched every video and thought your arrest was unlawful, and officer was wrong the way he handled it especially as you had letter from Tesco hq. I know as most stores have never seen coins before and the fuel angle/debt makes better videos as refusal to complete transaction in store would not make as good an argumennt. My view has changed by watching your videos as I believe the Royal mint should not call them Sterling with a face value and should sell by weight as aprecious metal which will go up and down over time as a collector coin. You do know yourself that the business will have problems banking the coins and as Tesco Hq now don't accept them as I think you said they have over £5 k 's worth it is an intereting subject but I fear this is not a hill to die on for you and don't want you to get into trouble as you seem calm and nice guy and like the officer who arrested you and said you were about to commit crime of bilking by driving off when you clearly said you wouldn't drive off until it was sorted just remember you don't have to be guilty of a crime for an officer to abuse his power and spoil your day. @@julianchamberlain5399 we had a back an forth last night she admitted it she's as stubborn as a mule lol
@@callumbush1 I'm happy to discuss it with her. I thought she handled it OK.
@@julianchamberlain5399 after a few messages it dawned on me that she must be the manager as she was taking it waaaay to personal not your average troll at one point she thought I was you🤣 and called me a knobhead, If you look through all the comments on this page you'll see my conversation with her, I'm sure she's a nice lady in reality maybe she had a few drinks and your interaction with her was playing on her mind I think she felt embarrassed and humiliated even though she and her staff won't be out of pocket and anyways M&S employs their staff on zero hour contracts and is a disgusting company to work for!
@@callumbush1 I read all the comments which is why I always like them so I know what I've read and what I haven't. I didn't suspect that person was the manager though. Some people do take extreme dislike to it for some reason. People are very polarised in opinion on this subject, which is another reason why I find it interesting. I've blocked a few commentors who seem a bit obsessed with being abusive to me. I dont mind disagreement discussion. Did she actually admit to being the manager then?
The coppers 'obviously' saw your Bridgewater scenario and didn't want that hassle...! How's it going with that female A&S copper over her GDPR breach of your details...?
No news yet. That sort of thing takes time.
@@julianchamberlain5399 GDPR Article 6(1) is your friend! :D
She didn’t breach GDPR. She obtained his details for a policing purpose and lawfully disclosed them so a civil action could be brought.
Could I use these coins, when eating a meal in a Restaurant . IE pay at the end. Surely that would then be class a debt or not? Any help would be great.
Yes you could. They don't have to accept it but you don't have to pay in any other way. If you were subsequently sued for non-payment you would have a good defence in court. You can't demand change though.
@@julianchamberlain5399 Great thank you so much for the advice. Plus you also keep up the great work. Love your videos.
Funny how the police didnt want to know about it.
Coffee would go cold.
@@julianchamberlain5399 They have seen clowns like you before and can't be arsed with the bullshit.
@@pleasantville4529 hey you seem like a very nice lady no need to go postal over a few coins it’s not like the money is coming out of your pocket
I don't think the police have jurisdiction because a) it's a commercial/civil matter between seller and purchaser, and 2) it's not connected to fraud as the money is lawful. The dispute is whether policy overrides law.
These vids are brilliant 👏 👌 🤣
There's a bloke on Ebay selling what he calls a rare one for 75k 😱

@@kevschorr6875 Luckily, they threw them back through my open window as they didn't want them for some strange reason. I still can't understand the smug look of satisfaction on their faces when they did it. That £75k coin is a £2 coin.
Do you pay more than face value for the high value coins you purchase?
No, I pay less than face value for them so its quite profitable.
That was a great ending
I am really conflicted by these coin videos and wish you would not put employees of businesses on video while proving your point around using coins, which are not in generall circulation. I see you are moving into a few audits and different videos and found gchq one facinating. Stay safe and try to give staff at garages a break as they don't get paid enough for thiis complicated issue and don't deserve to be you tube stars and try a video taking them to a bank etc or a trip to the royal mint or your MP a meeting on camera with him showing your unjust arrest and bringing legislation which means banks have to accept them. Thanks for entertaining me with these but hate myself for watching lol.
Thankyou for your well thought out comments. Have you seen my Barclays bank video? The petrol station creates a unique scenario for these coins so the interaction with the staff is unavoidable if I am to pursue this matter. I try not to be unkind with the staff but I am a little nervous which doesn't help.
@@julianchamberlain5399 hi Julian thanks for reply,I agree your calm kind manner is a credit to you and even today the manager said she would treat as a drive off if you wouldn't complete form which is wrong on every level,as you are stood in front of her.
I did see Barclays video and hate staff calling police when you have not left the garage and bilking requires this which is why I am on your side.
My worry after watching another you tuber who I think is ex ploice officer who implies you are obtaining goods by deception or words to that effect by buying coins off ebay for below face value and ignores the legal tender argument and implies you are being unlawful.
I know you are highlighting an issue and hope your channel is monetised, and if not if you do manage to save £20 buying a £100 pound coin then good luck to you as coin has face value of £100, for the effort you have had to go through every time you spend them and unlawful arrest it is a small reward.
Good luck,be safe and thanks for the content.
@@AG-ob3fx I think I know the ex cop ypu mean. I tried to discuss it with him on a live chat but he wasn't interested in changing his mind. Thanks for all the kind words, I will make an extra effort to be kind on the next one.
@@julianchamberlain5399 no worries, I have just left a reply on his pinned comment saying his video is defammatory and needs to be removed at at the time of the Tesco arrest you had a letter from Tesco Hq saying they accepted the coins. It's a good job he's off the force if he ignores Exculpatory Evidence and I will report his video to you tube even though he is entitled to his opinion he can't ignore the exculpatory evidence then defame people.
All coins produced by the royal mint have a face value. Usually coins made of precious metals the face value is well under the actual metal content value. These coins differ from that and thus is the problem imo. royal mint are actually ripping pll off, misleading them to believe they have a face value stated.
A 1oz 999 pure Britannia has a face value of £2 for example. I bet a bank will accept them for face value. As spot price of silver is currently almost £19 an oz and rm sell them for close to £30 a coin right now, with added premiums.

Did you get a receipt? :D
Although it is legal tender,I suspect you are out to create a scene purely for your own entertainment. Have a little thought for the other customers in that particular store. Your actions are clearly designed to humiliate the staff involved or the company employing them. Meanwhile there are other customers waiting, who do not have the time to spare while you piss about. Manners make the man and you should learn some.
Speaking of manners you've been rather rude to me young lady you owe me an apology
You suspect wrongly. I'm out to spend these coins that are legislated to be "legal tender for payment throughout our United Kingdom" I'm also out to fill my car with diesel.
@@julianchamberlain5399 Then why film yourself doing so? Attention seeking is my guess. Do something more productive with your time if you desire recognition.
@@pleasantville4529 I'm already productive with recognition. I fit luxury kitchens all over the South West.
