Hey Pete, I don't comment much but i wanted to tell you that I've been loving the recent uploads from you. You're a nice cool breeze on RUclips. After some long/hard days, its nice to find someone just sharing their passion. No cynicism, or angry rants. Just someone who finds the good in something. I appreciate your content and its been a nice way to relax lately and wanted to let you know. Thanks for everything.
I found his channel like 11 years ago when I was still in highschool, brings back memories. I remember being a PS3 fanboy and saw his PS3 collection video. Delved into his channel after that and never looked back. I don't play video games anymore, but just seeing Pete's face feels like I walked into a time machine to 10th grade. I would watch his videos while the sunshine would hit my body through the window. Same thing is happening right now, I live in my own apartment and the window sunshine is hitting my face while I watch Pete talk about games. Brings a tear to my eye. When they say "time flies," they really mean it.
There’s a lot of confusion in the comments so I wanted to clarify: This is my LIBRARY of PS4 games, meaning when I put a physical disc into my PS4/5, it gets added to the library, which is what you see here. If you want to know what games I own physically, look for an icon in the top right of each game that’s a small lock symbol. I own a ton of digital only games too, so it just made more sense to do it this way. Sorry for not clarifying this better at the start of the video.
Two top favorites were The Last Guardian and Death Stranding. I think the critical reception that both of these games received is a real shame. Some of the best experiences I've had with modern video games.
Child of Light, an amazingly beautiful, short, turn-based RPG from Ubisoft Montreal. The soundtrack is phenomenal. I wish Ubisoft would let studios create smaller games.
I’ve grown up watching Pete and he’s the one who got me into collecting for the Super Nintendo and the PS1. Now I’m 27 and he’s posting consistently again. Pretty surreal!
PS1 RPG Collection - November 2008 PS3 Collection - December 2008 PS2 Collection - May 2009 PS4 Collection - May 2021 I see you took a page from Final Fantasy XV when it comes to the sequel release calendar :P Very well worth the wait though, always been curious about how your PS4 collection has grown. Great vid as always! Very nice to see a collection video again from the guy who got me into collecting :)
I’m another one who watched you when I was a kid, now I’m 26 and still love when I see your videos pop up! Brings me right back to 2009! Time is so weird.
As someone growing my collection only physically(Currently at 115) this video was very good and gave me loads of ideas. I usually don't comment just lurk and watch, but this video bangs, and neees lots of eyes on it! Legit new "meta" for collection videos! Good job Pete!
Pete, I love the fact that channels like this can still succeed. Longer form content without a cut every 10 seconds. Your passion for videos games comes through in these videos and makes me want to play games I thought would have no interest in.
Very happy to see more videos from you, Pete! I love listening to you talk about games while I'm working. Really makes the work day that much better. Thank you!
I got to say Gravity Rush 2 is one of the best games on the system. Such a step up from its predecessor. It ties up all the loose ends of that game and creates one of the best stories I have seen in a game. It has lots of more gameplay, a huge open world, and amazing music. Such a great game!
I really enjoyed this video. I haven't seen too many collection-style videos on RUclips before but this was definitely my favorite since you had a decent amount to say about each game and it's clear you care about games as an artform. I'll watch any of these kinds of videos you put out for sure.
I remember an All Gen Gamers episode from years ago when Jason predicted that future collection videos would be "people scrolling through their Steam libraries." I think that future has arrived
I love your list of games. I get so sick of everyone talking about the same old games I know about and hear in every video. I learn a thing or 2 every time I watch one of your videos. Especially when you show your collections.
Great video. Im about half way through the vid so far, so you may mention some of these later. Some great DLC games on PS4 were, Assault Suit Leynos, Mother Russia Bleeds, Towerfall (and the expansion, Towerfall Darkworld), Freedom Planet, Valfaris,The Ninja Saviours, Cursed Castilla EX and King's Quest (theres 5 chapters). Assault Suit Leynos is a redone version of Target Earth which was originally on the Genesis. An overlooked game even back then. Great side scrolling action game with mechs. Mother Russia Bleeds is one of my favorite beat em ups. Lots of moves and enemies on screen, really orginal dark art style. Towerfall and the expansion Dark World is an extremely fun solo game to play through with some of the best local multiplayer gameplay as well. You jump, dash and shoot arrows in multiple directions but the gameplay gets extremely challenging, especially on the hardest mode solo. It was a very satisfying game to play through. Freedom Planet is a very good Sonic style game. Its up there with some of the better Sonic games. The Ninja Saviours is based on The Ninja Warriors, an old arcade game. Very good single plane side scrolling beat em up with a good selection of characters to choose from. Cursed Castilla EX is Ghouls N Ghosts inspired and in that style. Its a very good game in that style if you like those games. Valfaris is one of the best side scrolling DLC action games I played, though not exclusive to the PS4. I reviewed it here : ruclips.net/video/tLbQDQyKzvc/видео.html King's Quest has 5 installments and is in the style of a point and click adventure, but its the best game in that genre that I played. Super easy to switch items and try everything out. Very enjoyable. Some of the installments held my interest more than others. I believe the first chapter (installment) was the one that I really enjoyed the most. A few more games that arent exclusive to the PS4 but are some of my favorites, Blazing Chrome (Contra style), Cyber Shadow (Ninja Gaiden style), Mortal Shell (Shorter Souls style) and Owlboy (Metroidvania).
@@PeteDorr No problem. Really enjoyed the video. I think youll enjoy those. Its great to see another perspective. There seems to be alot of great indie games on the system I missed.
can't stress my love for resogun enough, it's the game that got me into shmup's and I really think it is one of the best starting places for newcomers to the genre.
Generation zero with all the updates and expansions that added base building and NPCs is phenomenal. My friends and I always go back to kill some 'bots. We Happy Few (believe they made contrast?) Is absolutely great. And the final Expansion character actually put me in my feels. Well, all the playable characters did. Both highly recommended, no matter the scores you see.
A recent game that I played and would consider a PS4 gem is Tamarin. I know you got a review code upon release, Pete, and talked about it in this video. Unfortunately, the sense of direction and lack of fast travel issues are still present. I still think it's a neat spiritual successor to Jet Force Gemini, beautiful 3D platformer with some strange (yet fun) third person shooter sequences, and an excellent David Wise composed soundtrack. Great video overall, Pete! Flynn and Freckles is on my PSN wishlist now. Somehow missed that 3D platformer :)
That's a really clever way to show a game collection! You actually got me when you said that The Last Guardian was a disappointment because I remember that game was number 1 on your top games of the decade, you got me :v Awesome video Pete, I hope that you show your wiiU collection in a similar way
amazing pete! loved this classic-pete-adjacent video! would love to see xbox, switch, wii u, and any other library! Steam and GOG too why not! great stuff!
Very cool video idea. I will play Vane and recommend Oure in return. Again, not perfect but I think you will enjoy it and not many videos covering it on yt. This time we play as a boy or a girl with the ability to transform into a Chinese style dragon. Gameplay consists of environmental puzzles, exploration sections leading to shadow of the colossus inspired bosses.
Hey Pete ,thankyou for your great video's and reminding me, why i love collecting and playing videogames so much! I really like you to know how much the AGG podcast influenced me and how much it mean to me. I just saw the latest video from MJR with the Jason Heine collabo and seeing that and also a photo from Gamester81 , i was thinking if you guys ever can do a special episode or maybe a zoom conversation video on RUclips. I think it would be so awesome to see! Anyways im really glad to see you guys more and to me you guys are the real original OG's of the gaming and collecting scene. Much love and respect!
Do this for the Xbox 360. I'm getting a Series X, and I skipped the PS3/XB360 generation, would love to know what you recommend on the Xbox backwards compatibility
Currently finishing up YS Origins on Switch while this plays in the back-round. I am so glad you are uploading again, Pete! Keep it up! P.S. I do think a video about your change of heart with FFX would be an interesting watch.
One suggestion, If you splice gameplay footage in as you talk about some of them would be pretty cool. Trailers just don’t hit the same. Solid video though, nice work.
appreciate the suggestion, but the only way I can reliably upload on youtube consistently these days is to NOT get heavy into editing. The amount of time it would take to record footage for all of these games and then edit it into the video... just not possible for me these days.
Great video Pete! This gave me an insight in to games that I didn't know existed. I've bookmarked a few of them, so will if their prices drop in a sale. Thanks for helping me spend my money haha! ; )
Yep, watched the whole thing xD I actually had a little piece of paper to write down notes for games I might check out. For my underated PS4 game suggestion, Crystar is a wonderful, emotional dungeon crawler action RPG that's really unlike just about anything else I've played in the genre.

im fine with this format but it would be sweet if you could just so some quick footage at the end of all the physical games just to fill that void in my soul
Too many souls games too fast?! Am I missing something? Am I in the wrong universe? I had Valley on my wishlist for so long. After your recommendation I'm def going to get it
by the time I tried playing DS2 (which I wasn’t too into) I felt DS3 came too fast for me to care. I tried getting more into BB but by then I was kinda tired of the formula of the series.
If you haven't already played this series, I highly recommend the Metro games. Great first person shooters. Even if you aren't the biggest FPS fan, I think these games stand-out from some of the more popular games in the genre.
