I use AquaSeal all the time. I love the stuff. If you put a bit of vaseline on the threads and put it in the freezer, it will last for years (I buy the bit 8oz tube). But I no longer use it for valve repairs. It just isn't as reliable as the "FixMyKite" self-stick valves, but it does stick to the bladder enough to make it nearly impossible to remove well enough to do another repair when necessary.
Thank you for the video, very detailed and useful 👍🏼 But my machine won’t turn on and the top cover won’t open. Are there any disassembly options with an unopened lid? Or the option of emergency opening of the lid by mechanical means? I would be grateful for an answer!
Добрый день Объясните пожалуйста , что вы маркировали на старом клапане. Я к сожалению , уже снял старый порвавшийся клапан не сделав никакой маркировки Благодарю
It’s probably too late for you, but if anyone is reading. He marked the orientation that the valve should be in. Depending on the valve, it may attach to Velcro/strap on the kite and has to close in a particular way. You can still figure it out if already separated. The mark takes the guess work out of placement while attaching with glue.
Here's what the mfr says... "Aquaseal FD would be more ideal, however both Aquaseal FD and Seam Grip WP will work for this application. Both are urethane based and the same solvent, the main difference is the viscosity, Aquaseal FD being thicker."
@@Rick_Cavallaro hey Rick cheers. They gave me a similar answer. I reached out shortly after commenting. I bought both but used seam grip. She’s been flying perfectly since. Thanks for the follow up and the repair tips.

how long do you leave it in the grip / vice?
Overnight.
@@RomaFixcom thanks and hope long to defrost the aquaseal?
Hey, nice vid. Why are you using seam grip WP vs Aquaseal FD? Any differences? I have a valve to repair too want to buy the better of the two. Cheers.
