It is a good idea to use glue Aquaseal or Seamgrip because the valve alone won't last much. In March I did replace the whole leading edge bladder because the manufacturer one was not long enough and was blowing out. I replaced with a blank and new valves not even same brand, all was good till last month the inflate valve pealed off so I put glue and now I think I will throw the kite away before it peals off again.

Yes Aquaseal is a great glue to use but you won't be able to use your kite for 24 hrs. So if you are in a hurry glue is not going to help compare to a Stick on Valve.

Trust me guys. Those valve traps are useless. There is a lot of prep work required before even putting the patch on and even then, they are prone to slid off or leak. Stormsure glue is a way better product for valve repairs. For pin holes tear aid a is ok too.

Anyone ever replace valves on an F One kite? Their valves have a base where the dacron kinda tucks in under it. If you've worked on an F One you'll know. Its really difficult to get them to seat correctly with the material tucked back under that lip. I think Ozone and a few others use similar. Cabrinha uses a base with 2 pcs that screw together to form the base which is much easier. If anyone has any tips on the F One I'm all ears. Thanks

"Lock the valve to the sides" ...?? How? Do you mean just hold it firmly against material around opening? (Thx helpful video)

I'm like an expert on valves, I had to replace all 10 on one of my fairly new kites.

I have no idea why the hell do they make the valves with an extra layer on top of them, that textile material is making the whole repair of the valve a living hell since its usually better sticked than the valve on the blader it's self... so the trick is to get some small scissors and cut just a little bit and then just peal it after using the hair dryer. Careful when cutting, cut from the center to the periphery around 3mm and than just peal going from the center to the periphery in a circle. Anyway... very repair unfriendly
