Hey Adventurers! 👋 We’re doing our FIRST EVER live stream Q & A for our channel members on September 30th! We’ll be doing this once a month, become a member here to join 👉 ruclips.net/user/theendlessadventurejoin
The Endless Adventure is there any reason why you vlogs are 3-4 weeks behind . Is this because you don’t want to bump in to your followers or some other reason . 👍🏻
Hiya. o/ I've got a bottle of 18-yr-old Glenfiddich you're welcome to try *without* lime if you're coming this way. John Smith's Smooth is the safe choice in a lot of pubs if you don't like bitter or lager and can't face three pints of Guinness.
Your vlogs are mini works of art. As a Brit it reminds me there is so much to see in our small cluster of islands (globally speaking) if we could depend on the weather who would go abroad! That being said we also benefit from cheap travel to Europe, which I have often enjoyed. Thanks for helping me plan where to go next x
We were at Cowal gathering in 2013, the last year pipe band competitions were held there. We were welcomed at the Clan Lamont tent like family (the Lamonts inhabited the Cowal peninsula, and I'm a Lamont). Haggis and chips! And we heard a rock band belt out, believe it or not, Country Roads! I'm going to take in Braemar next time I go. Btw, you missed one of the traditions though. After the games, the bands all march down the high street in Dunoon wearing silly wigs and or Groucho glasses. I've got a pic of one band wearing Elvis wigs!
Watched you two over the last two years and love your vids. I’m Welsh but have to say the Scots outdo us and the English/Irish for celebrating their heritage. Glad you enjoyed your day there and love the fact you love it here in the UK
Wayne Well in northern ireland has two distinct communities with two different national identities can't speak for england, but thats how it is in northern ireland. In the republic all the hallmarks of irish culture are strong the music and gaelic games except for the language which is much weaker then welsh .Half a million went to the fleadh(folk music festival) and its growing every year.
Guys, I just have to tell you that I absolutely love watching your adventures! Your vlogs are so beautiful, very informative and extremely professional looking. Your joy & enthusiasm when experiencing new things is so infectious and as a Brit, I especially enjoy seeing you travel around the UK and enjoying all that this tiny island has to offer. I also applaud you for living the life that you want. So many would like to do what you do but choose not to - so good on you! Happy travelling! :o)
My Dad's family, we believe, came from the little town of Rothe, south from Elgin where the Rothe runs onto the Spey. A few distilleries there, Glen Rothe and Glen Grant among them.
Our first , PM , in the Scottish Assembly happened to be named “John Smith “ my town, Airdrie named our local swimming pool the John Smith pool , there’s numerous statues in Scotland commemorating him .
I was there in 1974 while stationed on the USS Los Alamos AFDB-7 in the Holy Loch. I loved it, great time were had by all way into the night for several nights.
glad to know the games are still going strong.. served in the Navy on board the USS Holland from 79-81 and got to witness one of those games.. lots of fun, food,,, and drinks ... I LOVED SCOTLAND!!!!
Hi, I live in Scotland and highland dancing is our traditional dance that lots of us participate in. I do highland dancing myself, I hope you enjoyed your stay while at Scotland! Lots of Love (love your channel btw 💕)
Awe! You just made those kids day. They will never forget how they met a youtube couple and were mentioned in their vlog. You guys are the sweetest. I enjoyed this video so much!
Great video. Thank you. Love to be able to see the world through your eyes. Thoroughly enjoy your videos. I like how you combine the history and culture along with the local customs and food.
Yeah, stay clear of John Smiths beer. It's a bit like drinking the equivalent of mechanically reclaimed meat. There are so many fantastic brewers in the UK that make much superior beers and ales. Even the big supermarket chains will have at least a few local brews. To be honest, I'd sooner do without than have John Smiths
@@noname-mq6vw I'm from North Yorkshire. There's tap water with more flavour than John Smiths. It really is lowest common denominator stuff for people whose rhetorical big guns are using terms like snowflake and hipster. I think the words you may have been searching for, between getting startled by traffic lights and looking longingly at your cousins, were normal and tasteful.
So all 3 of my cats reacted very strongly to the bagpipes playing in this video. they were running around meowing like crazy xD I experienced that once before when watching "The Crown", but somehow I can't force the reaction by just playing random bagpipes music. Thank you for giving me that extra bit of entertainment ;)
As an Englishman living in Scotland I can honestly say you made the right choice in stovies but the poor choice in John Smiths 😂. Looking forward to the next episode! 👍
Lived in Dunoon half my life, you all should of came before it got all corrupted by the council. Back in the 90’s it was the most amazing thing you would of ever seen. There would be well over a hundred bands and the events would continue well into the night and after all was done the pubs would be so packed that folks would have to drink there bevy in the streets. It was a great time to be a Scott then 🏴.
I do highland dance I have done for 10 years! Hoping to go to coral at some point! The people I saw dancing where some that I knew! I’m so glad you enjoyed your time here in Scotland xx
Ach, I am so jealous that you were able to take in a typical Scottish Hieland (Highland) Game. Glad you enjoyed the Games. It was good to see that wee bit of home again. Enjoy the rest of your Scottish vacay. Slàinte.
Love your channel, love your enthusiasm for other cultures and foods. If your back in Scotland anytime try pick a time when the Edinburgh Military Tattoo is on you will love it.
If whisky is starting to grow on you, while you're there please try a good quality single malt, the difference can not be exaggerated. An Islay malt is usually more smokey because of the peat smoking process, but not necessarily better, just different. You never put ice or anything other than a small splash of still spring water in a malt. The water is good if you find it too harsh and actually can help differentiate the many subtleties of flavour.
The beetroot and potato combo neeps and tatties. What is basically turnip and potato. Very traditional Scottish dish delicious. And haggis. Which is cute in the bladder of the animal. is primarily is made from a substance called offal. The insides of the animal.
The Lake District in Cumbria is Like a mini Scotland and very easy to drive through on the way back down the M6 motorway. Keswick, Grassmere and Windermere then back on to the M6 going south...
I love watching your videos of the U.K. I live in New England and also I’ve traveled abroad and all around the US. The funny thing is, I have not been to England or Scotland. Perhaps because we have so much in common. I was always bent on the exotic. However, I have to say that it’s so amazing and cool to see where most of New England’s culture is derived from. Watching these videos of your travels to the UK, has sparked a desire to go deeper and explore the historical and cultural side, and of course the natural beauty of these iconic lands. Having a solid and sound background in US and World History, it would be fitting to vacation at the UK and be fully immersed.😊
if you guys ever get the chance to come back, you should come to the Royal Highland Show in Ingliston, Edinburgh. Its every year in June, around 3-4 days usually the 20th onwards and its just brilliant. It started out as an agricultural trade show so there's a lot of animal auctions and shows, and farming gear but its open to the public and there's a lot of stuff like pipe band competitions, dog trials, hand crafts, food and loads more.
Just curious if you plan to ever meet up again with your two friends Nikita and James ( I think) who travelled with you in the very beginning of the channel..
John Smiths is an English ale called a bitter. There are many bitters and they are still popular despite the modern invasion of lager (beer). Great video. ATB MMMD
Looks great guys - I first tried stovies at a scottish wedding this year, they brought big trays of it out near the end of the night after all the drinking and dancing, it was such a great late night snack.
Hey Guys...I love your videos - and am watching all of them. You are both intelligent; enthusiastic and lovely - but really...a "bunch" of hills! ... a Bunch (lol smiley face)

as for the food, haggis and chilli sauce is a relatively new combination, probably the last 10-15 years but its not bad, I still think you should have got the haggis burger though. Haggis is also a pretty good breakfast food, especially with egg of some kind, I usually do mine on toast or a posh roll with either a soft scrambled egg or a poached egg. Stovies are good stick to your ribs food, a peasant dish originally which is nowadays literally just potatoes boiled in either salty water or beef stock/boullion, with regular sausages cut or crumbles and onions, that's it. I've seen it done with the potatoes mashed and everything else mixed in, but my dad makes it in a pressure cooker so all of the flavours are forced into the potatoes and it comes out with a chunkier mash. Its just the best thing in the winter when your freezing your butt off, there's nothing like walking home from work/school in the snow and burning a layer of skin off of your mouth with hot Stovies tattie,

That part with the ducks was lit!
Drakes of Hazard, haha
Indian Runners. Always fun to watch :-)
Saying "lit" in Glasgow and you would get your jaw ripped!
I don't know what I was expecting, but I lost it when the ducks and collies appeared.
yeh i have a collie and that happens every year and collies are extremely popular here in dunoon cause there is a lot of farms in dunoon
Braemar Games, Pitlochry and massed piping ❤ Scotland 🏴 Cymru forever ❤😊

A Morson yes, they spent the next week telling the class about it
The big question is, when travelling to Scotland.. did you take the high road, or the low road... Sorry had to say it!
Great video. Thank you. Love to be able to see the world through your eyes. Thoroughly enjoy your videos. I like how you combine the history and culture along with the local customs and food.

I agree John Smiths has to be the up there with the worst thing I have ever tasted!
@@TimmyEliteBmx I take it that you never had Websters. Those were dark days.
no name, I've bought It in Florida liked it, My father drank it
John Smith is rank! That and Fosters was always a pound a pint as that’s the only way it would sell.

Really looking forward for some more Scotland. Great videos guys, keep up the good work.
This was the only highland games I ever saw, more than a decade ago. In Dunoon as well. Happy you got to see that nice place.
I like to watch blogs of Americans visiting Britain, but only come back to your channel! Down to earth wholesome goodness, thanks guys!
We're adopting you here in the U.K.! 💖😘
The music with the marching ducks made it even funnier, hilarious!!😅👍💖
Have watched you guys renovate renovated camper from the start, just going through the older food vlogs and found you came to my home town! Very cool

They have a great taste in bagpipe music ^^ that bagpipe scene in the crown was a fine piece indeed
Let's face it we all find them pretty offensive
You guys are so kind 😃❤️❗️. Those kids loved you ! Your smiles warm up the coldest of days 👌. Be well and prosper 🖖
I hope to be able to dance at Cowal someday, I recently got back into highland, it's super fun!
Meat + Potato + A stove = Stovies
Though a pot comes in handy too or else you'll just make a mess of your stove.
Stovies are fucking amazing, defo my second fav but mince tatties and doe balls are number 1
As an Englishman living in Scotland I can honestly say you made the right choice in stovies but the poor choice in John Smiths 😂. Looking forward to the next episode! 👍
