I have ridden 444,000 km and counting
Thanks for the video! I thought only one side is supposed to be lit, but after changing them both, it turns out that both come on together, whether dimmed or brights! Way better now!
That is correct. Both are on for low beam, when you hit the hi beam switch all it does is change the optics to give you the hi beam
Thanks for the video. I was putting bulbs in flange side up, Thinking the notch on top of housing was for the flange to fit into.
Glad it helped
FIRST! - great ride!! and thanks for the video - just purchased a 2015 S10 ES yesterday with only 7K on it - previous owner did a whole bunch of upgrades and I think he upgraded the bulbs to LED, so just trying to learn my way around the bike. subbed!
Only 7K on it, that's awesome!
I have a bunch of videos on mods for the Super T on my channel.
This summer I'll be doing a 60,000km review of the bike as well.
Enjoy your new bike and ride safe.
question: do you have any issues with glare/sun bouncing off the gauge cluster? I purchased the bike in Austin Texas and rode it home to the Dallas/Fort Worth area (300 back road miles) and the sunlight glare on the screen was unbearable at times. I'm curious if there any recommended brands of anti glare screen covers. I found NuShield online and they make one especially for the S10.
You can change the brightness setting of the LCD screen which might help. I went with a Speedo Angles screen protector as a precaution but I don't think it really does anything for glare.
I also put a Speedo angels screen protector on my bike.
Helps with glare a bit, but really only protects the screen.
I also decreased the brightness of the display, but it's still an issue if the sun is right behind me.
One of the disadvantages of an LCD screen.
Ride safe.
how do you change out the little running lights?
You have to take out the headlight assembly. Not hard to do. Unfortunately when I did mine I never thought to video it.
