I can’t believe you got that beautiful bike for 500$ I want one please
Thanks for your solid review. Did you buy the Voyager? How does it perform on mountain passes?
I need to visit our northern brothers on motorcycles sometime soon. Love that part of the world.
That's one ugly looking bike
When I sat on the bike those side panels were uncomfortable for my inner thigh, haven’t had the opportunity to ride it.
progressive shocks are great, used on my leaking 1982 Goldwing.
The ride is really nice
May I know how's the battery life? How long can it last when listening to music, and also how long can it last when shooting a video? Thank you
Just listening to music and talking to my buddies it lasts about 12 hours. Shooting video it lasts about 5-6 hours Ride safe
i like this one better than bmw gs 1250..
Me too I especially like the 42,000km valve services And that it is half the cost to buy and less then half the cost to maintain Plus there is no adventure bike more reliable I just passed 87,000km Ride safe
Informative video, but please stop swaying as you talk.
Thanks for your input I will try :)
My super Tenere almost drove me off a cliff because of ABS. Yes ALL ABS should be able to be turned off!!!!!!! It was down hill on a gravel road in the mountains. Yes some people DO take 600lb bikes off road and actually ride them. The ABS activating on gravel with a hard base gave me almost no breaks at all. I stopped only a foot away from the edge with no guard rail. That was the SECOND near miss I had with that nike and ABS. The ABS fuse came out that day and stayed out!!! ABS is DANGEROUS!!!!
I would disagree with your comment. Haven ridden almost 500,000 km and being a former Motorcycle Instructor in Alberta, I can say with confidence, IMHO ABS helps more people then it hurts. Unless your Chris Birch or some other professional off road rider who bombs down gravel roads at 100 - 150 kph while sliding the rear end of the bike out on every corner before you take your 600lb bike over a 10ft jump...ABS is not going to kill someone. 90% of all close calls on a motorcycle are rider error. If you have come that close to killing yourself on a Super Tenere or any motorcycle "Twice" , with all respect...it's likely you as a rider that is the issue. I have ridden my bike on 100's of km of gravel roads and fire trails, in the mountains, water crossings, uphill and downhill and on hundreds of thousands of km's on the road and never come close ever, to killing myself while off road or on road. Please stay safe Ride safe
🥱
It's fun to see these videos of older gold wings that still are running after all these years. But if you think about it, if you were to buy a newer used Honda off cycle trader for $5k with 80k on dial, you could literally drive it for 20K more miles and turn around and sell it again for $5k with 100k on dial. So I've been contemplating getting a Gold Wing for a trip across the South West and 2004 version looks pretty sweet.
They are beautiful motorcycles
Letting your fuel tank get below 1/4 full is the fastest way to over heat your electric fuel pump on your Goldwing. Best carry a spare pump now.👍
So did you do the second video of you talking to Steve over the Sena 50c? Can't seem to find it anywhere?
You can watch our PCH trip from this year, it has me talking to numerous riders on the video
forget it the KTm is more more faster, your boddy just the go fast man
Should have done a Mad Max launch
I just got a '97 Aspencade, looking forward to many miles of fun.
How much did you sell ur bike for ?
Sold it for $5,700
But they don’t face forward.
Great video! I know it’s a couple of years old but I am picking up a 2017 ST with only 13k km’s on it this weekend. Looking forward to a long term relationship with it!
Have fun
$500.00 …??? You should be Ashamed of yourself… Taking an elderly man like that..😂
Beautifull ride have a great time on it
You could have "fixed the seal" with a plastic bottle. cut it into a J shape and run it under the rubber bushing and rotate it around the cylinder. Generally dirt or a whatever gets in there and causes it to leak. great video
Thanks
i dont understand why you change it, best suspension on this goldwing best than harley or ...and you dont work well on you goldwing man, you can flip all bags to up with 4 bolts did you adjust the preload
I changed it because it was leaking
Great video, I have a 2023 with 16k on it now and will agree with everything you mentioned plus the following. Its a safe bike to ride short or long distance because of it's brakes, seat comfort, cruise control and a very easy to read dash, plus all the adjustments you make while riding are very easy. There is virtually no fatigue factor riding it, physically or mentally, you are not fighting anything riding it, so at the end of each day riding you feel the ride but not overly tired from it and look forward to riding it the next day. Lastly, the weight of the bike is very helpful on the highways, not very often that you get blown around by passing trucks or side winds. You feel very confident going into corners, scraping pegs is not a problem. People all over the world put hundreds of thousands of kilometers on this bike with very little going wrong, just wear and tear items and good regular maintenance.
Picking up a 2017 with 13k km’s on Friday. Looking forward to some long distance trips in the future!
I use this jacket all year in the UK with a Zepher jacket in the spring and call and if colder a down jacket. It's very comfortable and using a layering approach you can ride in any condition
That bike is beautiful
I have been riding a GL1200 fir 7 years. Topped 100,000 mikes this year. It was cheap to nuy and has served me well. One thing I don't like us it is extremely hot in summer. The big fairing holds the heat around me. Great in cool weather but when the heat of summer arrives I'm burning up. Looking for an adventure bike and want to keep the Wing and rebuild the motor. It still runs good but is noisy. Pretty sure the primary chain is worn out. Vlatters like a diesel if I lug it. Carb cleaning and balancing helped but still noisy.
The nice thing about switching to LEDs is less demand for hydro on your alternator . It's a win-win situation when you go to brighter lights and less demand on your alternator.
Awesome job on the videos man, makes a guy want to go on a trip with his friends again. Can't wait for the next one gentlemen!
Lotsa fun!! Thanks for sharing. BTW- La Quinta, say- La Keenta
Thanks!
Are those birds on your rear seat😂
They definitely stole the show :) Ride safe
Gold Wing is the most dependable bike. You can buy one I.A., and ride to NYC and maybe get a flat tire.
They are beautiful machines Ride safe
Can I use an Iphone as a monitor as I record with the Sena 50C Camera?
I don't see why not...I can use my Samsung S21 Ultra as one if I choose
Where’s the goldwing
It only gets ridden when I go out with my wife. For highway touring one up, my Tenere is more comfortable and more fun in the twisties.
Definitely not cheap but every video I have seen about this jacket were very positive so I might just pull the trigger. I now have the Pando Moto shell uh 03 underlayer but I'm not really a fan of something tight on my body on a warm day. A breathable jacket would be a better option I think.
It breaths incredible well. Just did a trip down the PCH and temps reached +38 celcius (100 fahrenheit) and I was not hot while riding.
Great coverage of your test ride. I recently got this bike but it had 2200 miles and I snagged it for $15,000 US beneath MSRP and it already had better bars and pipes! Did my first trip and it was 3300 great miles with no trouble. The 114 has plenty of power and goes 50 miles farther on a tank than my 2011 which is awesome.
Great to hear. Ride safe
Looks like you have the reverse engaged.
Nice to see someone else struggle to get the Wings clothes off, be thankful you have not got a sidecar in the way =)
Exactly!
Amazing video of a great trip with the Boyz! Soooooo many Heath edits...
Beautiful Lake. Nice that they took his bike in right away. Wow...a noise violation warning, they were board. Very nice video. Love the PCH. See you on part 2.
Thanks for watching
First haha
0:32 Something is leaking under your bike? Coolant? Oil?
I overfilled the coolant.
I think it’s a really great product, just wondering how far does it really stick off the back of the helmet?? When I get off the bike, I put my helmet in my GV tracker case, and with the added brake light, will my helmet still fit in the case like it’s meant to.
I have the GIVI Monokey TRK52 top case and it fits no problem with the brake free on. Not sure about the Tracker case?
Thanks for the reply 👍
Thank you, for the down to the Earth Review of this jacket. Monday, I’m leaving from Southern California and riding into, and through Arizona, and due to your review of this jacket I’m off to the store to buy one.. thank you again for your video content. Ride safe out there, and enjoy life to the fullest.
I really like mine! It breaths incredible well. Just did a trip down the PCH and temps reached +38 celcius (100 fahrenheit) and I was not hot while riding.
Didn't Meyy have one of these in an earlier year model?
Yes he did. His first bike
The reason the gear indicator doesn't work with the clutch pulled in is because of how it works. It says the gear based on two parameters: speed and RPM. If you think about it, each gear has a specific speed curve as RPM increases. The gear indicator knows this so it doesn't work until you're moving with the clutch out. Even if you pull the clutch in while rolling, it'll still show the dash (because your RPM's are out of any speed curve for all gears). It's easier to do this than have a switch with seven positions connected to the transmission like the V-strom.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I've gotten used to it, but I still miss it :) Ride safe
This is my dream bike, I am going to buy next year
Enjoy
quiet riot and a smooth grandpa bike , great deal
Nice presentation! How do you like them now, after about a year of use?
I love them. Just got back from a 5600km trip down the PCH and they worked beautifully. Easy to get into and very easy to put on and take off the bike. Well worth the money. Ride safe
@@highmilagerider1154 Thanks man! I ended up ordering older, Sierra Dry model, they are on a good discount now. They look robust, I think it should be good for my use, we'll see.
@@haridzonson7594 Love them. Just did a 5600km trip with them and they are fantastic!
