Is this roof flat, curved or slightly pitched? It was a little difficult to tell with the way the camera lense portrays it. I have a 1982 single wide that has a curved roof and I was hoping to get a new metal roof put on over all of it. Not sure if this method would work or not? I've contacted 2 different local companies so far and they both said they don't touch the curved roofs, and two other companies that just never called me back about it 🤷♀️ Also, I hope yall are safe in Southport! The flooding seems to have done quite the damage from what I'm seeing
Just wondering the reason for using the deck screws to hold the plywood vs nailing it. Is it a preference? Just asking as the screws are so much when I am costing out my roof. Excellent video and just subscribed. Keep up the informative videos.
The screws won’t back out nails will very important not to use nails screws are much more secure. Yes they cost more money but it will be worth it. I use an engine five eights exterior deck screws and they’re about $35 a box. But it will be the best $35 you spent generally takes two boxes of screws per roof. Thanks for the subscription. Is it hurricane proof what kind of winds will the roof stand with the pressure of a cat 3 or 4 hurricane a mobile home roof always moves in and out with the pressure ????????????
I would say it’s hurricane proof better than any shingle roof or standard Mobile Home Roof as we attach the new roof directly to the existing roof Joyce and we live in 110 mile an hour wind zone as we’re on the coast we have storms cat three cat four often if we get a cat for Storm, the house will blow over before the roof will and I know this because it actually happened on one of my jobs blew off. The foundation never leaked to drop my roof held strong.

Yes the two by two rafters are for foot apart for my old place.

Catastrophic rain catastrophic damage everywhere I would gladly do a curved roof any day rather than a peak roof
