I am so sad :( Look at the price of ONE PIECE OF OSB SHEETING HERE IN SAN DIEGO, CA NOW. 3 months ago they said the price was going to go down so I waited. Price was $16 or less. WTF, and NOW ITS $30.35 per board

I know I was going back looking for that roof I’m sure I have it. And wait to you see this thing finished it’s gonna be amazing. My computer got a virus so I just got a brand new one for Christmas that I’ll be setting up so I won’t be making a video till probably the first of the week. Drew, I like the overhang however there is a Sam and Angela at Green Acre Homestead here on RUclips that went over their roof on a 14x70 with OSB and then steel roofing with a ridge vent. They also added like 12" fly rafters along each side so they could add gutters later on if they wanted too. A problem occurred when they decided to move their mobile home from another state to their land in TN. In order to get a permit to move it they had to cut off the metal roof along each side by several inches. I think they had to still pay a penalty to move it but it wasn't as bad as if they had tried to transport it without cutting the roof off at all. The main thing I don't like about most roofing today is all the dark colors because they hardly reflect sun light at all. This makes homes no matter what they are extremely hot in the summer and just forces the AC to run constantly during the hottest days of the year. I myself prefer light colors such as white or silver metallic which reflects a very large percentage of sunlight away from your home. I believe the problem with most homes is the HOA wants everything to look much the same if not exactly the same. They are costing American's tons of money by using all these dark colors to me they should have to change this and ease their rules.

Thank you for your comment my friend and I watched Greenacre Homestead all the time and I seen that video of them moving they used to be in North Carolina and now they moved to Tennessee I seen where they cut the roof off so they could get their permit it was too wide to go down the road. Adding the OSB on top of the Mobile Home is going to make it cooler all by itself. Just for the fact that the sun is not meeting on a metal roof anymore
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair I'm sure the OSB will help but a lighter color of roofing would help even more. You can't hardly light a white piece of paper using a magnifying glass but it don't take long at all to set a black piece on fire. Years ago most houses had a metal tin galvanized roof and or white roofing shingles. Both would out last these drab dark colors they use today. I know for me it's a lot easier to keep homes warm than it is to keep them cool during the summer. Same principle applys to vehicles too.

Advice needed! I have a 16’x80’ mobile home, slightly pitched gable, no overhang, factory metal roof. No leaks ever, but I want to put a preventative covering over it. I recently replaced the gutters with 5” aluminum house gutters. Considering I live in Alabama, where summer temps can, and often do reach triple digit Question; Would you recommend covering entire roof with peel & stick ice and water shield, then running my latt strips on 2’, then installing 29 gauge light color, roofing metal? Or just covering what I currently have with a 100% silicone, high reflective, white roof coating, such as Henry’s? Please advise. I’m ready to do it, but condensation is one of my primary concerns. Thank you.

He now in Anchorage Alaska installs Rubber Roof Surf on these mobile home trailers did they have so many of them Anchorage and he said the Anchorage Alaska inspectors love it 😍

What thickness sheeting do you use?
Are use 15/16 OSB same thing as half-inch plywood
Wheres the insulation board you never glue straight to the plywood. Theres no warranty by doing it the way you did.
