I prefer the sound of a turbo but I still like the sound of a sc and turbos don’t necessarily have better performance they are just simpler superchargers are complex and expensive but they have no lag top mounted sc can get hot quick but side mounted sc are available for inline engines, superchargers suck for daily drivers unless you own a gas station for daily driving I would get a turbo easier to maintain and cheaper to fix but if I wanted just pure performance and money was no issue I would probably go supercharged
If you look at the intake just past where it clamps to the throttle body, you will notice the pipe has a thicker part. This is a baffle that muffles the supercharger whine. Either change that part or gut it out and you will hear the charger whine. Or do what I did, get an aftermarket intake like CTS or IE.
I have. This car is mostly just a mileage machine for me, so I don't want to do anything that would compromise reliability. With that in mind, 100 additional horsepower from a tune is super attractive.
That's totally stock aside from an intake. S4 comes with the DSG trans and this is a ZF8 speed auto in the A6. I wanted a bigger car with better build quality for a daily, so I opted for the A6. The 3.0t has been really good to me so far. The car has a stage 1 ecu and tcu tune on it now from jackal and it's plenty fast to bomb around it.

I bought the car in Jan of 2022 with 85k miles on it. I'm pretty sure I paid 17k? It's a 2012 with EVERY option except black optics (which I didn't want). Car has been bulletproof so far. All its needed was a trans cooler check valve and engine mounts.

And the 1988 MR2 with an Aisin roots charger came out All the way back to the Benz in 1923. Beyond me why people think that a Hellcat was the inventor of a Roots blower. Same with a Hemi egine. This is a CTS turbo intake. The stock intake has mufflers built into it, so replacing the pipe and removing the box will make the blower whine louder.

yes, the S4/S5 is about 200kg lighter

it comes from the supercharger but you're going to need to install a aftermarket air intake like a CTS or a ECS .
Any Audi 3.0T just get a after market cold air intake
If yours is also a 3.0t, an intake will do the job.

they’re decently fast for it’s weight and not being an S model. But when you tune these they’re sleepers.
