- I made a Custom Dual CPU/PoUW Open Air Mining Frame, from a 8x GPU Mining Frame, for less than $40!
I wish I had $100-$150 to spend on nice PC Cases for each of my CPU/PoUW Mining Rigs. But it doesn't makes sense to spend money on stuff like that right now. So I came up with a solution.
if you have an old dead motherboard, use that as a template. Great video.
For sure! I even tried making a couple by using the deck of one that was already modified. Worked “ok” it wasn’t as accurate as using a mobo. Ive made 5 now and glad to be done lol
Was waiting for the video, can’t wait to try this build myself!
Awesome man yeah thx! Its requires a little work, but im very happy with it!! Gets everything nice and organized! 👍🏼
I checked eBay and Amazon and unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the mining frame. Will need to keep an eye out for if these come back in the future.
@@Mathingon I did a quick look. Try search for( Open Air Mining Rig Frame For 8 Bracket Crypto Coin Mine Holder Case US )see if that makes it come up for you. But yes, these are getting much harder to find. When i made the video I thought In would be able to provide a easy link for ppl, but I noticed they were much harder to find now. They were popular during the last Bull market, and maybe all thats is available now is old stock, idk….. let me know if that search finds it! 👍🏼
Wow, awesome looking duel rig and video
hey I appreciate it! Thx for the comment! 🤜🏼
Awesome video, I picked up a few of those frames for myself
Nice man! These have been my go-to frame for awhile now. Previously with the S37 8x GPU mobo that these are a direct fit for. Im super happy having them for my CPU miners too! When i made this video I didnt realize how rare these are becoming. They’re getting hard to find!
Dude great video!!!!! Love it!
Thx man! 🤜🏼
I ain't sanding that.
I'm a badass!
😂😂😂 💪🏼
My mounting technique is this: Injust hang the mobos woth zip tights by the two holes on the left side of the mobos. I let the back panel facing the front of the shelve and are good to go and plug the ethernet cables.
But yeah, I don't do GPUs anymore, so there is that. Can't hang mobos with GPUs plugged in like that.
Very cool! Thank you for sharing!
Thx NEC! Appreciate you man!🤜🏼
that is really neat and not a lot of work needed for the customizing.great stuff
Thanks man! Yeah its not too much work at all, mostly just time, to take it slow and get everything lined up 🤜🏼
Great video, subscribed! 🎉
Thx I appreciate it! If you ever have questions let me know, I reply to all my YT comments. Also can be found on twitter @_HashForce although i’m more active on YT. 🤜🏼
This was what i was looking for thnkx keep it up .
Awesome man! I searched hard for something that would work. Theres no perfect cost effective options right now, but Glad i could find something to help! If i find anything better Ill share! thx for the comment! 🤜🏼
Nice work. What motherboards are you using for dual CPU's?
Thx! Its a dual setup, so 2 single systems. However there are some chinese X79 & X99 motherboards with dual Intel Xeon CPU’s that can be found. Search youtube for that and you’d be surprised at how cool & affordable some of those setups are!
@@_HashForce Okay thanks, what MB are you using?
@@HamRadioAdventures In this video it was a MSI x570 A-Pro, & MSI x570 Gaming Edge. Both with Ryzen 3900x
@@_HashForce thanks buddy!
@@HamRadioAdventures You bet man! Any time!
hey man, nice video!
btw how do you make thumbnail? what apps is that?
Thx! Its Photoshop. Search YT about how to make thumbnail effects 👍🏼
Nice. For the cost, I just can't get excited for the server cases, sure they move air, yup they look cool, however a more expedient ROI looks best.
I hear that 100% man! Totally agree!
Yo man! Where do you get those frames that have support for two motherboards and to PSU's? Please give a link for international shipping :)
Hey Thanks! I wish I had a link to provide, but the only place I can find these is on eBay right now. Sorry for no link, but I show a picture of the eBay vendor where I buy my frames. Use the search words & I hope you will find it👍🏼
wouldnt it be smarter if you were to use mATX motherboards?
I considered it, but Micro ATX has same depth front to back. mATX has a shorter width so they have less PCIe expansion slots. Ive searched hard and theres no perfect solution right now (not something cost effective specifically for mining). I’ll keep looking and share when I find it! 🤜🏼
@@_HashForce bummer, i do think on average mATX is cheaper? But the main idea was that you could possibly fit 3 motherboards in one rack instead of 2 mobos
@@abe-danger A triple setup would be killer!!! I think 3 is too wide even with the mATX. 3 Micro ATX might fit, but they only have one x16 PCIe slot. I want more slots than that. Next i might look for a server style case to mount these in. we shall see
for POUW you want more PCIe x16, x8 slots
Loving your video's, great content my friend! Can I ask you what (dual?) coolers you are using on those boards?
Thank you! I have some video I’m editing about these. They are Thermalright Peerless Assassins. Hands down the best air cooler you can buy for the money & in some cases beating the most expensive you cooler you can buy. You’ll find many good videos about them here on RUclips 👍🏼
@@_HashForce amazing, I'll check them out, thank you !
😃
Hey Buddy! Nice video as always.. Do you have 2 CPUs on 1 motherboard? If so, what's the benefit of doing this - for example, does it consume less power this way?
This particular setup is dual (singles setups) on 1 frame. However dual CPU Intel Xeon setups can be made with X79 & X99 motherboards. The benefit is lots of CPU Cores & Threads to provide maximum PCIe lanes, able to attach lots of hardware 👍🏼
@@_HashForce Nice! Thanks for the feedback
You don’t have $100-$150 for a case but can pay $400+ for an overkill motherboard where an 150-200 would do just as wel? I wouldn’t call this PoW systems but proof of excess. For every 3 systems you build this way you could get a 4th one for free 😢
Dont jump to conclusions my friend. Almost all of my equipment is used. The most expensive setup in this video (the Gaming Edge mobo, Ryzen 3900x, & 16GB RAM) was bought as a package for $305 on eBay! I added the Peerless Assassin cooler for less than $40 My most Expensive mobo’s by far (Asrock Taichi) were $170. Most of my Mobo’s were $100-$125 & all used. Im very conservative with my purchases 👍🏼
@@_HashForce :) point taken. That’s a great deal. Been trying to find some myself but afraid the 2nd market here sucks.
