    Pretty bow I'm not a big fan of Hungarian designed bows but the last couple you showed make me want to add one to my collection. This looks like it might be the one. Good job Peter I'm very impressed by your craftsmanship. Thanks for another great review my friend.

      @@AB-bg7os so did the English long bow and there just a piece of cord wood with a string. Lol I'd take a Hungarian bow over a piece of cord wood any day! That is unless I had to burn the enemy out!😁😁😁

      @@johnkeszei5995 apparently you took my comment out of context. As I said I'd take a Hungarian bow any day over an English longbow. As for Mongols and turks I'd have tried to join them! But for designs of bows I really like the ottoman and crimean tartar style bows. But if I has my choice it would be a mughal crab bow. On my island we were oppressed by the English who pushed us from our land and sold us into slavery. As for there bows they were stolen from the cousins of the Irish the Welsh!

    I've heard the huns had to horn reinforce their nocks to deal with the twisting of the bow due to climate change. So it got heavier and less quick but was more stable than the Mongolian bow which did not reinforce their nocks to prevent twisting

    Have you ever tried Indonesian Traditional Archery called Jemparingan?
    The name of the bow is Gendewa.
    It is played in sitting position like meditation.
    The limbs are made of bamboo, the handle is made of wood with iron inside.
    I'm a newbie in archery. It's only been 2months since I hold my first bow. It's the club's bow, not mine. And it's a Bare Bow.
    But I am really interested in traditional archery.
    And I just found your channel about 4days ago. And try to learn from you.
    Thank you very much for sharing so much knowledge.

And small people looks too funny with a long stick xDdoes not match with them. I had a hungarian bow. I very liked was fun but i had to realize it was to long comparing to me. So i bought a short hungarian bow and its finaly match with me :d i bougt the akosbow short hungarian. Amazing bow. It was 130 euro only. Absolutely worth it. What is yours?

    Technical question : I shoot a Kassai Panther Hungarian bow. Over the years the whipping above the handle (thread) is worn through. Does the whipping serve a function or is it mostly decorative ? Not sure how to repair/replace worn whipping ....

    • @andychang5888
      @andychang5888 4 года назад +2

      gabithemagyar I’d say it’s just for look. Cuz under neath just wood siyah joint with solid fiberglass limbs. I would get natural jute twine to fix it looks really cool. Look up how to twine wrap a handle and kinda adapt it to the curvature of the joints. Try to do a tight wrap job so it does provide support to the joints and add to longevity of your bow.

    • @andychang5888
      @andychang5888 4 года назад +1

      Skullboy hi I watched almost every reviews and i’d say it’s the Saracen bow by Lukasz Nawalny it’s tapered bamboo limbs with carbon and fiberglass. It is a Tatar design but in a slightly shorter form. But the Babylon Assyrian bow by alibow and t Assyrian bow by Bogar archery are up there in both stability and speed give or take a few FPS you won’t go wrong either way. I value stability and vibration dampening over speed but fast bow can be nice too. Nawalny bow seems to have all. The Tang Chang an by alibow is pretty fast as well but only it’s more efficient at longer draw like 33-35 inch

    • @tammynfletcher

    I tried out many bows: Norka, Kassai Sólyom/Ölyv/Farkas II/Szkíta, Ragim Impala, Grózer Magyar, Mónus Fekete Bég, Végh Török, Compound bow, Homemade longbow but this Bogár Hungarian was the most terrible bow I ever tried. And it costs a fortune. I would not want it even if it was for free.
