I admittedly wasn't thrilled with him as a young Laker fan (kid 7-8) wanting Kobe to start right away under his tutelage. But in retrospect, I realize how smart he is and ultimately he had the most knowledge of anyone at that time to make the final decisions. He's a legend and I have nothing but the upmost respect for him and his family.
