With the 2D style Tales games on their death bed in the face of increasing presure to go full 3D a handful of Team Destiny members attempt to send of the classic formule in one last game. Is this game the defintve DS Tales game experiance?

Thanks, Ill add them to the descrition.
Really enjoying this retrospective series! 😁
Hope you do more Tales Of retrospectives. Got into the series via Arise and have played Berseria and Symphonia. Gonna do Vesperia soon. It's extremely interesting hearing about the history of this series, what sets them apart etc. Very well done and in turn inspires me to want to play the rest of them!
Shhh, nobody tell him what Xenosanctum thinks about Arise.
Playing vesperia now as my first tales game. It's a gem for sure.
XENOSANCTUM LIVES.
Hell yeah man love your videos
Being more used to the remake, it’s so weird seeing how different the DS version is. Unlike the original Innocence, this is much more what I had in mind when I pictured a DS Tales game. I have to say I much prefer Innocence’s style (and the Vita remake of Hearts). I also didn’t realize that Gall was a new character for the remake. He seems like such a natural inclusion, it feels weird not to see him with the rest of the group, throwing verbal jabs at Ines and Beryl as he does. It’s also really weird that Hearts R went with pure random encounters since the DS original didn’t. I think that’s the one thing I’d say is in the DS version’s favor over the remake.
Oh, I also just realized I completely forgot about Chalcedony. He’s not in the group here either, huh? Well, no big loss there; I always hated him anyway lol
I had no idea that the cameo summons were only A New Game Plus the way Namco advertised it they made it seem like it was going to be a core feature in a main playthrough.
I got KOS MOS, right near the end. But as for the rest, you get them in the grade shop
did you do a retrospective of Tales of Innocense?
Yeah about 6 months ago, ruclips.net/video/v5zi7HfEFAY/видео.html
@@xenosanctum2531 Thanks, I loved both of your videos!
Well, I'm convinced,.
Patreon, here I go!
I have this on vita, and it looks nothing like this at all, also."I remember, your name is the kohaku river!"
Omg i just remembered i finished the vita version. Kinda shows how forgetable i found that one 😅
Well, Kohaku (琥珀) does indeed mean "Amber".
Hearts may not have gotten to much attention but I thought it was a solid game story and plot wise, liked it more then Arise at least, Creed may not have been the best enemy but at least he had a clear motive and did more then those like in Arise and a few others, oh well.
Is there engl in 24?
if you meant to ask if an english fantranslation has been out for it yet, then the answer is no, sadly.
Honestly, I don't the vita version's battle system to be really good, especially with the counter, flash step, and link mechanisms. Not to mention the it had a full 3D overworld.
It's a pity the localization was so half-as*ed.
I gotta disagree about the story and characters. I rather enjoy how straightforward and just genuine it all is lol. Id put them in top 5 acriss the whole series. Its not trying to throw you for a loop or be anything big brain ir grand. Just a loveable kind crew in a Tale about... The heart.... Sorry lol.
Yes, love Beryl
It was dumb to just stop the fan translation of the DS version of this game just because the PS VITA version has an official english localization, as if the PS Vita version would be superior to the DS version.
The team was under the false assumption that by stopping making fan translations they would encourage a Namco to make to make them themselves. This obviously didn't happen.
@@xenosanctum2531 Very big mistake ob the translation team's part.
@@faidou9954 It also appeared the team lost intrest and disbanded.
The remake is my least favorite Tales game (I played every game fully in English) and this seems even worse.
Your not a fan to 2D Tales games? Personally I liked the large number of options in this games battle system.
