I didn't fall into the glory of Tales until later in my life, with Tales of Vesperia. I have gone back to Abyss, but have yet to get ahold of Symphonia. Loving this series, keep up the good work!

I've only played Symphonia and Vesperia extensively but I have tried the first SNES game. Amazing games the stories are great and the characters are also tremendous. Still listen to the soundtrack to this day.
The first 3 tales of series will always be classics in my minds. Love those games!! And I hope they re-release them on a new console or PC
Dhoas is such a tragic Villain he never deserve any of this
It's almost a crime that the game and it countless remasters doesnt explain about Dhaos side of story. I also found him more interesting than Yggdrasil even if Yggdrasil is more properly written.
Honestly, the 2d games are my favourites. There's something special, experimental, about phantasia and destiny. Even on the psx, they have that snes-like feel to them, which is a plus.
I wanna add Rebirth as well for trying to be different than the norm with their battle system.

@@tedphantasia4387 They aren't "bad" games, but while the gameplay has been innovating, the storylines and the cast of characters have been getting weaker with Tales standards, regardless of personal like.
Zestiria has one of the weakest cast of characters, not because of its lore but because of how bad the execution was for its story.
@@ismokemadherb4677 Some of the titles need more than just a port for many of the new fans to even give them a chance. Some of the old games are a bit dated now.

Holy shit this was amazing! I've read up on Wolf team and Tales' history but this still brought up info new to me. Adding game reviews from their era painted a good picture for later missing Tales' localizations as well.

The original plot of Phantasia sounds quite better. Dhaos would have been a real tragic hero, with a downfall from mission to retribution.

I still wonder how different things would've been had the Snes-CD released had Sony and Nintendo had a compromise. Tales of Phantasia could've had more content added to it.

Imagine if we've gotten the original Tales of Phantasia plot. I love the plot twist at the end of the game, but imagine getting an in-depth of time when Dhaos appeared

I'll give Namco credit for positively adding the "Of-" to the series name, as well as renaming those characters. While the revised names aren't perfect, those original character names were awful lol

I just looked it up...he's still missing over 25 years later.
Reviewers loved shitting on the sprite based graphics. But in 2022 Tales of Phantasia/Destiny have aged amazing compared to many of their contemporaries that now look awful.
I played the super Famicon Tales of Phantasia on my SNES mini last year and had such a complete blast.

If I can make a quick recommendation I would be much more willing to subscribe if you posted these heavily scripted/edited/researched videos on a separate channel because, and I mean no offence at all when I say that, I'm simply not interested in your live stream videos. I would be much happier to follow a channel where I know I won't be watching 90% of its content.
This has actually been an idea for a while and I've been thinking of just privatizing those and just using this as a repository for the produced content, so yeah might just do that and make a separate channel for VODS.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Zestiria, I'm just tired of Sorey and Mikleo fusion that makes me realized my most favourite character bad.
