- Alcahest (SNES) All Bosses (No Damage). Alcahest (アルカエスト) is an action game for the Super Famicom, developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Square. The game was released in 1993 only in Japan, but it has received English fan translation. Boss list:

otakon17 Of course, this game was the last game developed by HAL Laboratory along with HyperZone before they started working for Nintendo on the Kirby and Smash Bros franchises.

HAL also developed a RPG called Arcana (Japan Name: Card Master) which did made it to North America, with some crosses and some blood edited out; but most of the changes were script and name changes. Salah/Sarah/Sara was a priestess and she wore white crosses instead of triangles on her outfit. One of the enemies and it's swaps has a German Iron Cross on the shield that was changed to a triangle. The introduction sequence war sequence had a little bit of blood that was removed. Surprisely; when Galneon was killed in the final chapter; his sprite showed his corpse bleeding in both versions. Whoops!
Man that Golem boss looked awesome.
24:41 Two points. A, you’re not immortal *or* invincible if you can be taken down in less than 30 seconds. B, you forgot to read the Evil Overlord List-those declarations mean death *will* be instantaneous.

The wind god is basically Star Platinum from JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure. All they’re missing is the “ORA ORA ORA” sound effects when he’s punching!
I was wondering why the music constantly reminded me of Kirby Superstar. HAL Labs did Alcahest, too.

At 21:17 the game simply became SMT, because that's YHVH and there's no mistake about it.

Why was the jump mechanic so limited in SNES action RPGs? This reminds me of Secret of Mana and Illusion of Gaia, where jumping could only occur at predetermined points in the levels.

I wonder: If you kill Sara first, is Boss 5 Gaza and does he change into a different form than Sara?
You can't kill Sara in that fight; it's always Gaza who dies and Sara who survives.
guess coding that to happen wasn't something they learned to do yet or something

Why does the boss at 36:35 remind me of one of the bosses in the super smash brothers series???
Alcahest is a project by Uncle Sakurai and old man Iwata. Does it make sense for him to have this look or maybe he is the prototype for the final boss of Smash Bros?

All Bosses from Demon's Crest .
Demon's Crest 'No Damage' boss rush stuck at very Last Boss (Secret Boss). He's super hard. If not for him, the Demon's Crest Perfect Boss rush would have been uploaded ages ago.. :(
That Bone Basket was the hardest boss I've ever encountered in my younger days.
I’ve yet to see *ANYONE* do a successful No Damage run against the Dark Demon. No *Deaths,* sure, but even that’s a pain in the a-. Honestly, if anyone *can* take out Dark Demon with No Damage, he/she will have *truly* earned the title of Gaming God/-dess.
Awesome gameplay, but wow....that is the worst writing I've ever seen in a game...
