I grew up playing RE, beat the OG trilogy as a young kid but sadly was withdrawn from it as poverty struck and my love for gaming was taken from me for years. 20 something years passed, i've got some cash now and started playing some of the games and kinda started getting into the groove of it again as I loved the series and they imprinted fond memories on me. But with so many games the best thing to do was to watch a summary of it all to understand why we went from zombies to raging spanish cursing villagers to some disgusting undescribable creatures. And, what I find is a total massive CLUSTERFUCK that barely keeps some resemblance to the past I remembered; and, thanks to your video i sort of understand this shitshow now but holy hell it threw me off from the series. It’s funny, because when it comes to the lore of resident evil, I’m one of the semi- veterans, and I understand this video is supposed to be for beginners, but at the same time for it being for beginners, it covers quite a lot lore wise and you explain it very easy and really well❤, one of the plot points being that Miranda has been there since the beginning mentoring Oswell

This video was really incredible! You did such an amazing job! I do wish you'd covered Resident Evil Revelations 2 because Moira Burton is my favorite character and I feel like she gets glossed over a lot. But lack of Moira aside, this video was fantastic.
I'm glad you liked it! And you know what - you were so cool about it; I think I'll likely do a follow up video on Resi games and I'll be sure to get both Revelations.
Despite finishing all of the mainline games (except 6) multiple times and many of the spin-off too, I was still pretty lost on some of the lore as it isn't always very well explained in the games. I've tried to watch lore videos before but they're usually no more clarifying. This was the first one I've seen that does a good job with it, and with good humour too. Nicely done!
I've never felt more supported than this man telling me, things are about to be complicated but its ok, he's done the hard work and there are chapters just in case I need them.

I'm a huge fan of resident evil and you did the series justice you earned a new subscriber tonight
That's awesome.
This video is straight from the heavens. I’ve always wanted to learn more about the lore but was too overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content to start!
Hey! I'm glad I could help even just a bit!! Thanks so much for watchin!
The way you prepared me for when you moved on to th next part of the lore was amazing you set the tone of what im in for next that was unique
this is so funny, thank you! i'm really into resident evil but i know the most about 1998-2004, so i loved watching this and dissecting the rest.
Thanks so much!! Hopefully I did justice to what you've known! and thanks again for watching
As someone who was about the same as you with having little to no knowledge of RE growing up, OTHER than the movie (which fun enough my monkey brain loved), to spenting the last four years consuming all RE media i possibly can. This summary was awesome!! Definitely saving it in my playlist to come back to when i need background noise/something to watch!!
Ah, I'm glad I could do it justice! Thanks so much for sharing!
I absolutely loved this video, the avatar, the break room, the Ada worship. TY! TY! I’m just getting into this series but the lore is so intense and this video is the shortest and most concise one out here.
(Also thank you for the picture of Leon in a crop top that helped ease my brain.🖤)
Keep up the good work dude. Your channel is blowing up like a Well-Timed RPG lol.
Now that's a classy comment.
Thank you so so much for the support.
I'm really sitting here trying to play re4 at 3 am while listening to this video. Some how I have paused the game to actually pay more attention to the video because it's actually hilarious. Keep it up.
RE7 was my first RE (that I remember finishing anyway) so I really like Ethan and how his story ends in RE8/Shadows of Rose always gets me😢
This is far and away the best "Story Up To This Point..." of Resident Evil that ive seen. Ive been a huge fan of the series my entire life and parts still confuse me to this day lol. (Im looking at you Revelations 1&2) but the way you put everything together was perfect! Well done.
God level summary work. Excellent video mate.
"And if you were working on something while listening to this, I hope the project goes well!"
BRO NO ONE'S EVER CALLED ME OUT FOR MY ADDICTION TO LISTENING TO LONG FORM RUclips VIDEOS WHILE DOING ARTS AND CRAFTS I FEEL SO SEEN AND ALSO THANK YOU IT IS GOING WELL
This content is incredibly well-made. You always succeed in making it captivating. I've been a fan of the game since the release of Resident Evil 4, but I've never really delved into all the intricate details until now. So, thanks for enlightening me on these aspects.
Hey, that means a ton actually! Thanks so much for saying this.
I love it when Albert Wesker says “Its weskering time” and then he Weskers all over the place
This is one of the best informative videos I've ever watched. The editing and commentary are unmatched. Can't wait to see what you have next.
Wow, thanks! That means a ton! I'm glad you enjoyed and hope you stick around!!
You got crazy potential, More long videos with this same enthusiasm and editing and I’m sure you’ll get that acknowledgment you deserve man, You just got a new sub. GODSPEED!!!!!
The way how the movies (the animated onces) and the animated short series + the irl plays are connecting to the storyline as well... is insanse! RE isn't just a gameseries, it's a whole a- lore.. Love the video
Great video loved the effort you put into it and it’s absolutely insane you were able to condense all the lore of the series into a 40 minute video most impressive and I absolutely love this video as a longtime RE fan and a person who’s played all the games
I'm glad I could do the series justice!! Thanks so much for watching- I am elated to hear you enjoyed!!
More recognition needs to be given to Joe Baker. Imagine taking on super mutant monsters as an old dude in a fist fight and winning. Dude's a Chad.
I was looking at microscopy samples while listening to this. Great video and comprehensive overview of the RE series.
Oh that's awesome! Thanks so much for watching.
Comments like these are easily my favorites.
really grateful for vids like this, they make media so much more accessible all sorts of people (in my case: disabled horror lover who cant handle jumpscares due to adrenaline surges HURTING VERY BADLY), not even going into people who may not have a decent computer for emulation, cant afford the games, etc. I always try to thank creators for content like this when i can!
This is wonderful to hear! I'm very glad I could offer this experience, honestly! Thanks so much for watching - and thank you for reaching out!
Adding Silent Hill ost to Resident Evil clips is super satisfying.
as someone trying to get into this series for a friend, bless you. bless your bloodline
This was incredible! Really enjoyed watching/listening just before getting ready for bed
Heck yeah! I'm glad I could keep such company! - Enjoy your night as well yo
RE has taught us that everything can be solved with enough firepower.
That was probably the best 40 minutes and 52 seconds of my life
I've been a Resident Evil lore gremlin since I found out Wesker was alive. My little adolescent brain thought this was the greatest twist of all time and that the series was the deepest most complex interesting story ever constructed lol
bro im just leaving a comment here to thank you for this video. i just beat RE4, and now im trying to play RE4 remake but i literally cannot get past the first village section without hyperventilating because i have severe anxiety. I don't think i can play any more of the series even though I really want to play them all
I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm glad I could accompany in any way. I hope you get the chance to try some of them someday! They're really good.
But if not, I'm still glad you enjoyed your stay.
I randomly click in this video, and out of nowhere at 5:42 there is the t-virus artwork I made! Hahahahahahahahahhaha
You're absolutely right! I had no clue!! Hey honestly if you'd like me to credit the work I'd be more than happy to add your portfolio to the description
"in my youth, I never finished a resident evil game"
The fact that I got the platinum trophy in resident evil 5 when I was 11 and I started playing when I was 4 AND played the whole game solo when I was 11💀
(Also good job explaining the lore, you did good👍)
This video was really incredible!
You, my guy, made me the happiest man on Earth by resuming my favorite game series in 40 minutes.
Killer video really enjoyed the lore coverage and the jokes. I hope you get a well timed rpg when you need it. 💜
You're far too kind
The best explanation for beginners I've ever seen, maybe now my friends will get interested in RE series
Playin animal crossing while listening to this. It’s goin great
Despite finishing all of the mainline games (except 6) multiple times and many of the spin-off too, I was still pretty lost on some of the lore as it isn't always very well explained in the games. I've tried to watch lore videos before but they're usually no more clarifying. This was the first one I've seen that does a good job with it, and with good humour too. Nicely done!
Every time someone reminds me of the gun fist fight I love life again
I've never felt more supported than this man telling me, things are about to be complicated but its ok, he's done the hard work and there are chapters just in case I need them.
Fantastic content, this channel is going to BLOW UP! Your presentation was fun, informative and the way the video was put together really draws you in. Just found you on the recommended page and you've absolutely got a new subscriber! Excited to see the future of this channel.
That's fantastic news!! I'm so glad to hear you've enjoyed what you've seen! Glad to have you on-board.
Totally called me out at the end lmao. I'm working on an embroidery design for a tote bag that says "lucky me! I'm in the R.P.D." (like a play on "lucky me! I'm a kkg") Your narration is super entertaining, thanks!
I must say the Resident Evil 7 and 8 (especially 7) are the best ones storywise from the series. They dont use much bullshit, they are grounded, they are relatable.
Dude like 2 days ago I was thinking of searching for a RE timeline video and right now your video just got recommended to me, lol.
Really nice video man, keep it up
this is a really good video explaining the gist of the lore! staying for the great quality & personality, keep up the great work man!
Thank you so much!!
Always warms the heart to know people like what I'm doing!
Talking in a fanboy-ish voice when mentioning wesker or hunk makes this so much better and relatable. Great Video
I was surprised of the amount subscribers! The material quality deserves thousands of more
Hey, thanks so much!! Only up from here - I suppose!
Started playing DBD recently and saw the RE characters and was curious. My friend told me I should get into it so I found this video. I have never once watched a video longer than 25 minutes in one sitting…until now. This was the most helpful thing ever, and i absolutely love the chapters on it so I can go back for certain parts
Oh that's awesome!! I'm very honored! I'm glad to hear the video helped in any way!
Started playing the series a month ago. Started with RE1 remake, jumped back to RE Zero, then did RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake (Jill is like a different character here), OG RE4, and am just finishing up RE5. RE5 is such a "what is happening Matrix I guess" I needed answers. Que this video. Papa bless.
Hope both sides of your pillow are cold and you never find hair in your food
My pillows were hot and my food was hairy I needed this actually thank you
@@ChipmunkuChan I'm so sorry to hear that😭
Found this video because razbuten recommended it. When I finished I actually looked at the channel and realized I was gifted a hidden gem. Thank you for the video :)
Absolutely bless - I'm honored!! Thank you so much for watching; I'm glad you enjoyed the vid!
Extremely grateful to you both; wouldn't be here without them.
Dude I go to sleep to this, I love the way he explains it and his personality 😂😂 I keep coming back, best explained youtuber in my opinion
Not gonna lie, your recap of RE 6 makes me wanna give it a go lmao
Honestly? I was too hard on it. It's so fucking fun/funny. Give it a go.
@@ChipmunkuChan seems like an insane and hilarious ride
I can’t get enough of your love and appreciation for the Venture Brothers
Thanks for the video and small detail in the end about the project im doing while listening
Always! Thanks for watching!
My man I give you mad props for being a casual fan and putting this great video together but you forgot all about Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 and they are huge lore and story wise
Amazing work, mate!! Unbelievable clarity on the effort put into this masterpiece of a summary. Keep it up!!
Hey I'll try my best! Thanks so much for watching!!
I still say Mia was in on it all along. She was working for the connections, then just happens to move Ethan and Rose right next door to Miranda’s place. No way that was coincidence.
I really like the not self-serious way you tell stories. This was engaging. Good job.
Resident Evil lore and story is so deep that you could fill a library. I once watched a video 12 hours long that explained everything
37:25 kills your wife, leaves, doesn’t elaborate further
This absolutely took me out reading it just in time for that exact scene 😂
This is very well made! Great job! Especially with the absolute insanity that is RE6
Thanks a ton!! I'm glad you liked it!
Take a shot every time he says "well-timed RPG" and make it infinitely easier to understand Resident Evil: Revelations when you look it up
Lets go! Cannot wait to watch this tomorrow.
