Hey guys! Great BattleRep!! Enjoyed it a lot while painting my own Escher ;P
For the Underhive Version i think the premade Gangs are not balanced at all. Eschers do need to pick some shotguns for killing, and autopistols for pinning. After those changes Goliath need to pick the fights more wisely what brings balance to the board! Powerswords also help, because of the parry trait.
I would love to see you guys play on some 3D boards! But some underhive versions are good, too :P
They do have a free PDF with basic rules for some of the old gangs so you can use them while you wait for the next book.

Think the charge rule you played was wrong. It's not a double move is it?
It is.
My recollection of the rule was that Charging was a double action, that comprises of a standard move + D3, if they get within 1 inch of a mini they can engage. So a Goliath with 4" movement could reach a target 6" to 8" away.
RULES CHECK! Yes, charging is a double action of a standard move plus D3", followed by an attack. Whoops!

Great video! I played the first mission "inside the box" with Goliath boys against the Eschers...and took an epic beating :) Great game, the rules are clumsy tho. Thinking about giving it second shot with the updated rules.

Great fun to watch guys. I think the Plasma gun even if exploding still gets it's shot off. I believe the shooter is taken out of action AFTER the shooting has been resolved, which I think is a good rule. At least you get to fire once before the fighter is out of the game!!

I think we liked that joke so much we unconsciously repeated it in a new battle report, coming next month! PS Don't learn the rules from this video, we got a lot wrong. :)
In fairness, Escher are supposed to be the Agile team, and furnace plates wrapped around their mid sections are probably a bit clunky. Also the Goliath have plenty of man flesh on gratuitous display. Although I doubt such practical concerns were top of the sculptor's minds when designing these models.
Leather armour? Wool? A cotton Tshirt? When it comes to protecting against a knife in the guts or a bad case of laserburn, I think I'd try anything rather than bare flesh. :)
Everything's at a premium in the underhive, and clearly they're rationing out fabric ;)

You forget that the Goliaths will be significantly worse fighters if the blood was diverted from their brains to elsewhere ;)

Them tokens are for flesh wounds NOT normal wounds pal they reduce your toughness be one for each accumulating till no toughness left then they become out of action

OMG THose mini's takes a whole day to put toghter with some pauzes between lol it took me around 3.5 - 4.5 hours just to finish glue'ing one faction !!! (pauzes included )
GW minis do tend to be a bit fiddly to put together.
I think they tought hey lets make the smallest piece ever !! What could it be oh yes lets make a 1 mm sigar you can't hold onto so they can stick it a tiny hole on the already tiny head lol

I like the new rules but the gangs in the box on the 2d version are so unbalanced. I am really hoping people to start putting up some Gang War bat reps to see if it balances out.
