Not to mention that at 3:31 some of the acetone used to clean the paint from the hardware ends up on the leather. One of my pet peeves with their videos is that they never use gloves, and don't protect the hardware. The nails on the videos are super long and can damage lambskin leather which is super fragile. And acetone (or whatever they are using) can damage metal that is not gold/gold plated. And Chanel's newer bags are no longer 24k.

just a tip for the hardware. next time give that a quick paint with liquit latex, you can buy that at any art supply store. once you sprayed the bag you can easily peal of the layer of latex in one go and you do not have th clean the spray paint of.

They make the leather stiff and rough to touch. Even Leather Surgeons gives that disclaimer. A dramatic restoration can mean you have to sacrifice texture.
@@gbohol this is not true always... I’ve restored tons of bags with LEATHER paint. Specifically for whatever leather the paint is going on and I haven’t had a stiff bag..

what never fails to amaze me is their colour matching skills.
It doesn’t really match at all, the paint is darker and more vibrant.
