At 3:58 in the video where Prime Minister was boasting about large crowds at his political rally happened on April 17 instead of April 10. At that time, some of the states were in lockdown due to heavy surge in coronavirus cases
Nope. It's of April 10 only. This footage is from a rally held in Kolkata's Brigade ground. And at that time no Indian state was under any type of lockdown or restriction. On 17th April, Delhi became the first Indian state/UT to declare lockdown.
The human over-population the root cause of the tragedy in India. Not to mention a host of other socioeconomic problems we face today. In 1947, the population of India was close to 320 million. India has added another 800+ million since then. And somehow magically, its citizens expect a supply system that should periodically adjust to a large population's demands of goods and services? China is the only country on the same scale and has done a better job at achieving order/governance. Then again, they have earned it by brute force. Not to mention all the industrial activity has resulted in large-scale environmental damage - water/air/soil for which all of us will pay sooner or later. In comparison, the population of the U.S in 2021 is close to 330 million. The total land area is about 3.5 times that is of India, and an economy that is many times bigger. @Harsh Harsh yup, I agree that in a lot of countries people stopped wearing masks. It was our bad luck that a highly virulent strain B.1.617 mutated in India. No government can tackle such a massively destructive wave, be it Narendra Modi or Arvind Kejriwal or Mamata Banerjee.

The thing is that people of India are also equally responsible for this current mess. We Indians became highly careless in the months of January, February and March. Nobody was following COVID protocols. People were thronging in cinemas to watch movies. Restaurant were full of people. The 2nd wave was of such a huge magnitude that no one ever expected that such type of destructive wave could hit India. I remember that in 2020, Britain's Healthcare system was on the verge of collapsing. And compared to Britain's wave, this 2nd wave in India is at least 100 times more dangerous. Britain is considered a developed nation, whereas India is a developing nation. So when Britain's Healthcare system got overwhelmed than how can India's healthcare system handle such a wave.

Should have added that Govt started relaxing after vaccination started on 16th January 2021. Also to be noted, the so called super spreder event where they happened those areas are still to be hit by second wave. The biggest surge of cases happened in the state of Maharashtra and Delhi where none of the political rallies as well as religious festivals took place. Agreed with the last part of the video where they said, everyone thought covid was over, because everyone in India would have told you same if you had asked them in January.
It's absolutely stupid to say that covid cases only increased in Delhi and Mumbai. Turns out only Delhi and Mumbai kept on testing for covid. The other states were self patting themselves for having defeated covid under the leadership of Modi.
@@tariqueiitkgp it's also stupid to assume things that other states didn't conduct any testings. Surge in cases started in Maharashtra itself and Delhi, that is the fact.
Lots of lies and half truths with same political motive of targeting Modi who has been Indias most popular leader in long time. In reality this is what happened in India. I know because I live here and saw everything with my own eyes 1. Lockdown only lasted first 3-4 months. By August 2020, restrictions were eased & in a country of nearly 1.4 billion social distancing is impossible. 2. But despite lack of social distancing things were not bad until December 2020. 3. Between November and December more than 65000 ppl came from UK and brought UK variant with them. This was widely reported in Indian media and you can refer to them. During Jan and Feb these NEW variants which are more powerful started spreading and mutating and by mid March (exactly 12 months after first wave) India got hit by 2nd wave and that crippled the health system But it's funny that even after this American media is NOT criticising Joe Biden who is openly asking Americans to not wear masks after vaccination. This is same callous behavior but nobody in America will point that as American has worlds biggest corrupt media.
California is one of the 3 states that still refuses to listen to CDC and continues to require vaccinated people wear masks. Newsom's recall opponents should use it to attack him

Picture India in 2021 if it were around 500/550 million people.

During Jan and Feb these NEW variants which are more powerful started spreading and mutating and by mid March (exactly 12 months after first wave) India got hit by 2nd wave and that crippled the health system
But it's funny that even after this American media is NOT criticising Joe Biden who is openly asking Americans to not wear masks after vaccination. This is same callous behavior but nobody in America will point that as American has worlds biggest corrupt media.

This is a good video, but the fact that India actually did much better controlling the virus compared to western countries is remarkable and nobody has mentioned it.
The percentage of people infected compared to the population, India ranks in the bottom , the death toll was one of the lowest, the recovery rate was one of the highest AND BIGGEST ALL (although I am politically indifferent) THE WAY GOVERNMENT RAN ITS ABSOLUTELY FREE TO OF ALL VACCINATION DRIVE.
Agree with you... US had one of the largest number of death despite having best health care system in world
Gatherings took place in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh but the surge was seen in Maharashtra and Delhi. So, looks like this justification is incorrect.
So what Bengal and UP did was right. 🤷♂️

O King, in your Ram-Rajya, we see bodies flow in the Ganges
O King, the woods are ashes,
No spots remain at crematoria,
O King, there are no carers,
Nor any pall-bearers,
No mourners left
And we are bereft
With our wordless dirges of dysphoria
Libitina enters every home where she dances and then prances,
O King, in your Ram-Rajya, our bodies flow in the Ganges
O King, the melting chimney quivers, the virus has us shaken
O King, our bangles shatter, our heaving chest lies broken
The city burns as he fiddles, Billa-Ranga thrust their lances,
O King, in your Ram-Rajya, I see bodies flow in the Ganges
O King, your attire sparkles as you shine and glow and blaze
O King, this entire city has at last seen your real face
Show your guts, no ifs and buts,
Come out and shout and say it loud,
“The naked King is lame and weak”
Show me you are no longer meek,
Flames rise high and reach the sky, the furious city rages;
O King, in your Ram-Rajya, do you see bodies flow in the Ganges?

It’s not the job they are complaining about. It’s the amount of calls they received and the harassment from said callers.
