    You can do this with most of the can vegetables and fruits. Especially black eyed pea , Lima bean, pinto bean, green beans, just add what seasoning and meat you like. Using can food get the cooking done quicker. Some folks sometimes can’t afford fresh vegetables and fruits. And sometimes fresh vegetables and fruits are in the grocery store are molded spoiled and sometimes just don’t toast right. You can’t always store up fresh vegetables and fruits for along time in your freezer especially if there is major power outages. There probably will be come a time when folks will have to depend on can foods. It very good to Canned your food from your garden.

    • @georgiacookingforthesoul
      @georgiacookingforthesoul  Год назад +2

      The time depends on your stove. First you wash your season meat and have it cooking about one hour, before adding greens and one tablespoon of oil and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar if you like. You will cook these canned greens until the juice cooks almost out. But may sure the pot is full of water when adding the greens. The time it takes the water to cook out estimates 1 hour and 15 minutes. Everyone stove cooks different.

    • @georgiacookingforthesoul
      @georgiacookingforthesoul  2 года назад +11

      What do you need to know. Rinse your greens, have some seasoned meat already in the pot nearly done or cook them with some type of meat that could be added at the same time as the greens can't be any meat that take long to cook. Take to the stove and add one tablespoon oil, pinch of sugar, salt to taste have pot half full of water. Add accordingly. If you watch one of my videos and don't understand how to cook something just ask, and I will walk you through it.
