Hey Pam!!! I’m a new subscriber and I wanted to thank you for your clear and sweet directions. I’m a southern cook who even though I’m 66 years old I’m still learning new techniques everyday!!! I have a rare pancreatic cancer that I have battled for many years and this is why I lost 23 years of learning. I am called a walking miracle. Jesus has blessed me so much!!! I’m very thankful to be able to try some of your delicious methods. Thanks bunches honey!!!
My elders were all Carolina country folk. Growing up, I would ask Granny for a collard green biscuit and loved it! Watching your video, I could almost smell them from here. I'm the guy tasked for making collards for the holiday gatherings. :) Thanksgiving is tomorrow, I have everything I need, so I'm going to kick them up a bit. I've always wanted more flavor in my greens. I'll do a follow-up on the family's reactions. I liked the snappy taste test too! This video made this old guy feel good for a lot of reasons. Thanks Pam!
Awesome. I can’t wait for the results lol. Thanks
@@CookingAtPamsPlace I did leave the heat out for the kids. I was wondering at first because there wasn't much feedback, then I realized they just weren't talking with their mouths full! I'll have to call these my Houdini collards. They disappeared!!!
It is such a pleasure watching you guide me through cooking Collard Greens. Your steps are simple and easy to follow and you have such a lovely disposition.
I've always said that too...God willing and the creek don't rise.
This looks delicious Pam.
I love cooking videos where you feel like a Mom is showing you how to make family dishes
Hello Pam! I’m from California and have never made these. Yes I’ve eaten some that I thought were so delicious, but had no idea how to make them. I’m definitely going to give it a try.. thanks for the great recipe and wonderful instructions. God bless!
Nice stove ,nice floors, pot, nice Lady, see I always have my eyes where they don,t belong. Pam what I see is organization, everything in place, everything that you need is right there, not in the cupboard, or in the icebox, plus everything is so nice and neat and clean, that is what you taught me today without saying a word. Oh yea and you a good cook too. stay safe, keep family near, bless you all ////////////BB
Thank you Pam .
When I was a kid my mom would make green. She passed away so I haven't had green in 10 yrs until I found you..I just love these ...
Aaawwww William. 10yrs!! Well I am so glad you found me and thank you so much for your support!
When you said you use bacon grease for flavor ( what true old-school cook) don’t have a pot of bacon grease on the back of their stove!! I’ve always called the green juice pot liquor and then you had corn bread to sop it all up with. I subscribed! You’re my kind ok cook… God bless and keep cooking!
Awesome, thank you and welcome!!!
Girlll, I cooked these today and they are the bomb! Can’t wait until the cornbread gets done!
Awesome! I love it when someone makes my recipe and loves it too. Happy New Year and thanks for your support! You can sign up for free exclusive recipes that I don’t do videos on and email notifications on my website if you like. Cookingatpamsplace.com it’s all free lol♥️♥️

Awesome!! If you want to add in the broccolini May I suggest you do it towards the end. It won’t take nearly as long as the greens. Thank you so much for your support

Love love your shows. I do all the steps. I keep the stems and juice them. I either add ithe juice to pot or freeze. Also I use chicken broth and Olive oil no meat.. add turnip roots s and other herbs.
@ Diane Williams that olive oil and chicken broth will do it! Exceptional taste!
I love collard greens! ❤️
I haven't seen good southern collard greens since I left TN. I miss them and all the southern cooking.
I'm planting collards today. Going to remember your recipe.
I like that ham bone from honey bake hams. It will set off some greens. I mostly cut meat of and use it in the greens. Good job.
I’m a new subscriber! I just always wanted to let you know that you are amazing! GOD bless you!

Adding chicken broth or vegetable broth to your greens instead of water also adds flavor. Me I like adding smoked ham hock to mine.

Hi Pam, Linda here, I've watched and love your short tips but hadn't watched your videos. Girl, I'm a pretty good old-school cook, too. But you have taught this old girl some new tricks. Love your presentation. I'm a new subscriber. 😊
This looks so great 👍😍
Thank you!!!
That look yummy Pam. I would ad a little cabbage in it too.
Hey Pam, I'm making the collard greens right now...I'm stoked ( and hungry😅)
Your like me in that I always wash my produce, dry beans or rice at least 3 times. The vinegar and bouillon is a good touch. I will try that.
Best collard green recipe on the internet!
