Great video!! I think the reason it isn't as clear is because the permanently installed ice makers will drain the trough (or flush it) between each cycle. Making clear ice leaves behind minerals, and they become more concentrated in the remaining water unless they can be dumped or flushed out. That same thing happens with my countertop clear ice maker.. when it's freshly filled with water the ice will be perfectly clear for quite a few cycles, but as time goes on the batches get whiter. Once I drain the remaining water and fill it up again they're perfectly clear again. However, flushing the trough/tray between cycles uses quite a bit more water. If you've seen a full size under-counter residential or commercial unit you'll notice it doing that--while it's waiting for the ice to drop it will overflow the reservoir to dilute the remaining minerals.
The capacity of ANY ice machine is based off 70 Degree air intake. The rule of thumb in the industry is 85% of rated capacity when running in a 75-80 degree room.
Hello, I installed this for a customer and havent returned to the job. Im sorry I cant be of more assistance on the light. I recall the light only illuminating when the door is open. maybe the bulb burned out if the light never illuminated again.,
I set this unit up for a client and havent returned to his studio .For this reason I dont have access to the unit ongoing. I have not attempted or read about cleaning
You want to purchase ice maker cleaning solution from amazon. I am unsure how to add the cleaning solution into your incoming water on this machine. One thought is to turn off the incoming water and add it into the filter . Then reconnect water and it will run cleaning solution through the system/ It doesnt appear that the manual has any instructions on cleaning process.
Is the water running over the grid? If Yes then it should be making ice. Unless it was plugged in right after moving it. These work just like any other indoor refrigeration unit if you move them the rule I stick to is wait 24 hours before plugging them in. The reason being air bubbles can be kicked up and block the flow of refrigerant.
I would suspect that this would result in a very long period of time for ice production as the unit has to chill the water . You may want to reach out to the retailer that sold you this item for advice. I would suggest running a longer line to reach cold water
Have you figured out how to use the reservation system? After pressing reservation i can set the turn on time but i have not figured out how to set the turn off time
The lower the number the thinner the ice. You advantages to thinner ice are the unit will make ice faster, so if your making ice for a party and needing maximum yield set the number lower, With a higher number the ice is thicker. I found that really thick ice doesnt break into pieces as it falls into the bin. Thats the downside, you have to break it up with a knife or ice pick. So its definitely your preference on how you set the number
This video is meant to be an installation tutorial. I do not sell vevor products and don't have access to manuals for the item/ Contact the vender that sold you this machine for support
As a dealer of other ice maker brands. We do find they require a certain amount of water pressure to operate. If a home has a reverse osmosis system inside or another style filter system this will effect the machines ability to operate. This is just a guess since I’m not a dealer for the vevor brand.
typically when you purchase an ice maker, you need to get a model with a drain pump if the water is expected to travel upward to a nearby drain. The model im demonstrating here is a gravity drain, that means the drain must travel downhill below the unit to a floordrain. If you purchased a gravity drain model and you try and get the water to drain uphill to a nearby sink drain it wont work. you will need a model with a pump to send that drainwater uphill
You should have a air gap to the drain. bacteria can travel up your ice maker drain pipe and infect the whole machine. seen it in restaurants and its not pretty!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this video. I have only found two video’s that actually have someone owning and showing the ice maker work.

Will an 8x12 cold plate fit in storage bin?
It’s been a couple of years for your video and would like to hear if it’s still making ice or if not, how long did it last.
Thanks.
This unit is perfectly operating. I havent had any issues with this machine

On this error id suggest reaching out to vevor. I installed this unit for a client and it hasn't had any issues
Can you hook the water feed line into the hot water tank instead of under the sink?

anyone know how to replace the water filter? Mine cracked somehow and is leaking all over
