Hi Fiona I can so relate to your comment when I was young I had an angry soul (a symptom of my childhood 😓) but now in my mature years animals are attracted to me 🥰 even robins have a habit of landing next to me in my garden😂 I can only put it down to being a Christian 🤔 I have 2 Poms that won’t let me move so go mad when I go out anytime, they are my wife’s kids 😂 so she doesn’t let me take them out without her (she has CKD) 🙁 But I love watching Marina since she came to Scotland I love her attitude to life 👍 I have moved to Bute a few years back and love being away from the road rage apologises if I have bored you God bless Steve 🏴

Long comment to say thank you for being a constant inspiration… Marina, you literally saved the day yesterday. I’m converting a van and I got a nail stuck- couldn’t get it fully in or out, which meant I couldn’t lay the floor. So, instead of waiting to be rescued, I found the angle grinder, and a RUclips tutorial, and sawed it flat myself. I was shaking using that machine, but I thought of how you teach yourself everything and tackle anything, and decided to follow your lead. I felt so amazing when I pulled it off!

How interesting---seeing the secluded monastery, and that tilted church! Thank you for showing the kitties as well, Marina. That first one--the little calico girl in your lap--looks like my Tinkerbell that I had many years ago. The others were lovely too. I enjoy seeing them so much--after recently losing my 2 beloved senior kitties. I am left with kitty loneliness---and am SO thankful that you include them in your filming. It is a treat to see them. (yes, I love dogs too) The way they are all drawn to you is magical. They recognize in you---a kind, and beautiful soul ♥
@@WildSheGoes you should get a traveling cat! Cats are such wonderful companions, and if they're interstellar to traveling when they're young, they often do great with it. I've had two cats who were great travelers that came with me am over BC when I was a firefighter and a student.

Ouch, denied coffee first thing!! 🫣 One of the first things you learn winter camping is if you want coffee in the morning, three things go in the sleeping bag with you: water, flashlight, and (if you insist on canister stoves) the gas. 🥶 I enjoy that you share all the sights you share on your adventure, even the seed pod, but the most refreshingly beautiful thing (in all your vids) is just how you take everything in stride. Just doing what needs to be done, usually with just whatever you have on hand and usually on your own. (I think my hands are still cold from watching you put tire chains on in the snow.) yes, I would;ve wanted to keep that little kitty in the van! i don't know if its still good, but years ago when I had to change wheels, I would slide the extra tyre (first the replacement then the punctured one) under the edge of the vehicle incase the jack failed = maybe that was because we used to have flimsy jacks?

Marina, next time you change a tyre, place the spare under the car next to the Jack. In case the car slides of the Jack, it lands on the spare, not on some body part. It also makes it easier to reattache the Jack.

I love the way the furry friends come to meet you and spend some quality time with you on your trips too, I bet they love the attention. Like the snow chains for the wee van too, shame the big truck didn't think the same way! May I pass on a little tip too... when changing a tyre put the spare under the van by the jack as incase if fails the van will land on the tyre allowing you to get the jack back under, also visa versa when taking off the old tyre place under and then put new on! Lovely video, Marina - though a bit startled when things went askew as you were climbing the steps to that church! Those monasteries in Meteora have been used as film locations for a couple of big action movies that I know of: the 1981 James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only", and in particular for the climax of a 1976 film titled "Sky Riders", which I think you can find here on RUclips. When you are filming in the snow all I could think of was that anytime we see you walking up a hill away from the camera it means you have to retreat again to pick up the camera before continuing, which can't be fun when you're freezing. That church is amazing - I may have missed the detail but do they still use it for any services, or is it considered too dangerous for that? Animals are good judges of character, which is why you always seem to attract them whenever you stop. Lastly, wouldn't it be handy to have a laundromat and library side by side so that you could get both duties taken care of with greater ease? Safe travels, as always :)
Hello 😊 You are so much in the mind that i took a new video by another RUclips channel "India in motion" to be yours and when I clicked, - it wasn't you😅 It's also a you tube channel like yours, by a person called Sravana, he travels in Himalayan mountain ranges, by foot or occasionally by eco sport car , visiting towns, meeting nomads and their animals (yaks) there & making documentaries.. Btw, you too can make great documentaries! The main culprit behind my confusion was both you and sravana has yellow jacket 😅😅
Hey Marina, I have a question :) So I have the same Porter, and im thinking to convert it too, but im not sure if there is any sense to isolate it because of all those windows. I mean, through the windows the most heat escapes anyway, so why bothering isolating the floor and roof. In those cold areas, is your car really isolating inside? how cold does it get in the night? besides that, keep up your work and your great energy. its always a pleasure to watch your content! greetings from Germany :)

A little late with my comment this time, Marina…hope you get around to reading it…? Great ‘adventure’ this week! 😱….That crazy Leaning Church was very ‘spooky’ to me…no wonder it made you queasy..( there is a ‘Crooked House’ near where I live, quite famous…which you can visit and go inside, went there myself, and it was very disorienting!!….For a moment , thought you had adopted, first a cat , and then a very cute Dog (the Black and Tan one, climbing those steps with you?!… but they were just little furry friends you met along your journey 😄❤️❤️…Once again the views and scenery everywhere was spectacular….Got a bit scary in the snow storm though,with having to use snow chains and then getting a nail in that tyre…but you are very practical, as ever..Greek Swearing, essential!!!…🤣🤣, at times👍👍….Was so relieved when you and the van arrived in warmer area, with the spring Crocus, in flower….And with ALL of your Laundry DONE …that was a bit scary too 😱😄…!!! It's been colder than normal all over Southern Europe this year . Just came back from Valencia and it was rainy and cold . Love the monasteries !!

Oh wow that church!! 🤮 I have vertigo at the best of times but looking at that church would %100 set if off 😁..some beautiful scenery on your travels and that snow 🤦♀️..in the uk we are due a big dump of it next week 😦 I love the snow bit in nov/dec/Jan I'm in need of seeing spring now,it's crazy as so many of my flowers are already up and open!

Afternoon Marina, Nice video again and glad you have a head for heights to show us the unique places you visit! I love the way the furry friends come to meet you and spend some quality time with you on your trips too, I bet they love the attention. Like the snow chains for the wee van too, shame the big truck didn't think the same way! May I pass on a little tip too... when changing a tyre put the spare under the van by the jack as incase if fails the van will land on the tyre allowing you to get the jack back under, also visa versa when taking off the old tyre place under and then put new on! Other then that I wish you well onwards and await your next adventure! Health@Happiness to you.

Lovely video, Marina - though a bit startled when things went askew as you were climbing the steps to that church! Those monasteries in Meteora have been used as film locations for a couple of big action movies that I know of: the 1981 James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only", and in particular for the climax of a 1976 film titled "Sky Riders", which I think you can find here on RUclips. When you are filming in the snow all I could think of was that anytime we see you walking up a hill away from the camera it means you have to retreat again to pick up the camera before continuing, which can't be fun when you're freezing. That church is amazing - I may have missed the detail but do they still use it for any services, or is it considered too dangerous for that? Animals are good judges of character, which is why you always seem to attract them whenever you stop. Lastly, wouldn't it be handy to have a laundromat and library side by side so that you could get both duties taken care of with greater ease? Safe travels, as always :)

It's also a you tube channel like yours, by a person called Sravana, he travels in Himalayan mountain ranges, by foot or occasionally by eco sport car , visiting towns, meeting nomads and their animals (yaks) there & making documentaries..
Btw, you too can make great documentaries!

Hey Marina, I have a question :) So I have the same Porter, and im thinking to convert it too, but im not sure if there is any sense to isolate it because of all those windows. I mean, through the windows the most heat escapes anyway, so why bothering isolating the floor and roof. In those cold areas, is your car really isolating inside? how cold does it get in the night?

A little late with my comment this time, Marina…hope you get around to reading it…? Great ‘adventure’ this week! 😱….That crazy Leaning Church was very ‘spooky’ to me…no wonder it made you queasy..( there is a ‘Crooked House’ near where I live, quite famous…which you can visit and go inside, went there myself, and it was very disorienting!!….For a moment , thought you had adopted, first a cat , and then a very cute Dog (the Black and Tan one, climbing those steps with you?!… but they were just little furry friends you met along your journey 😄❤️❤️…Once again the views and scenery everywhere was spectacular….Got a bit scary in the snow storm though,with having to use snow chains and then getting a nail in that tyre…but you are very practical, as ever..Greek Swearing, essential!!!…🤣🤣, at times👍👍….Was so relieved when you and the van arrived in warmer area, with the spring Crocus, in flower….And with ALL of your Laundry DONE …that was a bit scary too 😱😄…!!! (No clean clothes !!)….Lovely, peaceful shots at the end crocheting on rocks at the sea shore..Great!… See you next time, and keep safe, Marina, Sue (UK) 👋👋
