I swear they sent one to everybody who might have ever had the slightes thought of MAYBEE reviewing one. I was so desperate I even searched for "honest loupedeck review". Couldn't find a single non sponsored (and informative) video.
      Taran hates the software thought.
Anyways: my loupedeck live arrives tomorrow. Let's see, how that goes...

@@nguyennathanael276 I'm really happy with it. The input lag is not as bad as in Tarans review. It's not noticeable in Premiere Pro tbh. I use it mainly for repositioning, rescaling and cropping clips. It makes it SO much easier. Also useful for controlling system volume and stuff like that. The way I use it, is I put on my desk when I edit and then back in the drawer. I just bought it for that purpose.

@@nguyennathanael276 Depends on what you want to use it for. I had the StreamDeck XL before the loupedeck live. I sold the streamdeck in the end. Take editing for example: the streamdeck basically gives you shortcuts that you already have mapped to the keyboard. You have to look for the right button, take your hand of the keyboard, etc. It's definitely not faster than using the keyboard. It makes more sense if you're fullscreen in your stream and what to set of some actions.
With the live though you can do that too.
Why I chose the live is really for the knobs. That's sth you can't do with the streamdeck. Not leaving the timeline and just moving a clip around, adjusting contrast on the fly is something, that really saves time at the end of the day.

The more of these comparison videos I watch, the more I realize that they complement each other. I haven’t opened either box yet, but it looks like I’ll be keeping both. Especially as a video professional.

Still not on steroids if doesn’t have GIF, change image, less icons for the price, and no physical buttons. And you can make hot keys to abduct volume with press of button.

The touch screen sounds like a bad idea.
I can feel the buttons without having to look and know if I am good on the Elgato.
Love the idea but with a touchscreen, I might as well buy a cheap android tablet and run Macrodeck with it which does the same.

i am htinking about this for featrues but i don't know if I can root it to a VB audio voicemetter midi.

The thing that's making me want the loupdeck over getting a stream deck is the fact that if you really think about it, the loupdeck is a combination of the stream deck and the goxlr mini (without being able to use a xlr mic). The combo can cost you 400 dollars when you can get the loupdeck for 260💯 and for a fact you're able to basically assign all the buttons towards a stream, its the biggest bang for your buck when using a single pc setup

@@swashin yup, thought it could have to do with my eq, but it doesnt (however turning it off decreased the noise since i have a big bass boost with slight treble boost), best way for me to explain it is that its the most audible during the moments when you just start speaking or just stop, and the frequency of the noise is around 18khz i think, might always have something to do with my mobo audio dac, but just thought id let you know ;)

The loupedeck falls short on its software, having owned both the Plus and the CT its software leaves a lot to be desired, even in 2022. The tiles on the live/ct are awkward and in no way near the feel of a tactile button. As for control surfaces there are other options for video/grading that are far better-suited and of better quality. Only reason to get a Live is if you want encoders, if you like buttons the Stream Deck better in just about every way, add to that its software and plugins are more stable. (from my experience)
