Dear Gabby, the reading vlogs are my absolute favourite. Thank you x your a credit to your mum and dad. Your a wonderful, intelligent, beautiful young lady and a fabulous creator x
I think you captured exactly how I feel about Lisa Jewell! Her writing and characters are done well enough to where I don’t really care if the plot twists are surprising or not! The story is just fleshed out enough to where the twists make sense within the world/characters she’s created
I’m so glad you’re living your best life this year! 🥰 It’s so nice to be able to reflect on what our teenage selves would think of us and feel like they would approve. This vlog was so much fun - glad you had a couple of wins! I’m so intrigued by The Last One now.
You did such a good job talking about ‘the last one’ without spoilers! I had the arc (btw it’s called the last passenger in the UK) and it almost drove me crazy trying to review it without giving anything away 😂
What you were saying about your high school self being proud of you was so heartwarming and honestly I’m so proud of you and happy for you as well! We already have The Last One out in the UK but it’s called The Last Passenger here! I’m really excited for the new Lisa Jewell ❤
I love that you're thriving 10 years after graduation. I graduated 18 years ago, my husband 20, and we were just talking the other day about how neither of us feels like we have anything in life we're really passionate about. He's been an electrician for 13 years now (well journeyman for 13) & I never had a career. I have been a stay-at-home mom for 11 years now. Of course, I love my children but there's nothing I am super passionate about that drives me every day. Definitely, something we've been thinking/talking about.
Hi Gabby, reading The house in the pines, just started on Friday and it's really good half way done 👍. Just went to library yesterday and got Chateau. This will be my next book . You never know. Thanks
All these books are on my TBR (except 'The Chateau', which I may not pick up anytime soon :)) Really excited for the new Lisa Jewell book now as well as 'The Last One' after this vlog!!!
This video was so fun! I can't wait to read all of these books. I loved seeing how much you loved the books at the beginning, I haven't been loving a lot of what I've been reading recently so I really need to read those two asap. I'm going to an event with Lisa Jewell (and Catriona Ward!!) in August and I'm so excited for it!
‘Then She Was Gone’ was the book that got me back into reading and will always be my favourite Lisa Jewell book, I have an eARC of None Of This is True and your excitement has made me PUMPED to read it now and I’m going to start it this week!! 🥳
I'm definitely planning on picking Lisa Jewells new one in August since you loved it so much! 🤗🩷 great reading vlog as always. When I see a new vlog from you, instant drop everything else and watch. And I love how long they are 🤗🥳
Well you just convinced me to buy the Will Dean book even though I have owned one of his other books for years and I still haven't read that one 🤣The last word sounded so intriguing and the UK ebook is already published so ... I need to know these twists!
I can’t wait to read these recs! The Marriage Act has similar plot points as Wayward Pines (from your description). I absolutely loved The Little Mermaid, and I too don’t care for the Disney remakes!
Oh no. You mentioned that at the end, there's these long confessions. One of my pet peeves in books is the villain going on for page after page after page about why they did what they did. Is that The Chateau?
Oh, I LOVED The Marriage Act. I got the physical copy from my library last month. Those propaganda posters are great. I had recently read 1984 too and agree that this could exist within the same world. There were some characters that I liked less than others (the idea that male authors aren’t as good at writing female characters held some truth here). The end was very satisfying for me. I hope you like it if you ever revisit the book.
This was such a fun vlog and so happy for you that you found a 5-star read. I can't wait to read the last one by will dean it's one of my anticipated releases this year. 💙 and Gabby, any update on Filmqueens pod?! No pressure though!
thank you!! and as of now there is no update on the podcast, we are still talking about it though! we might pick it back up again in the Fall depending on what our schedules look like then! :)
You have me so excited for the new Lisa Jewell book! She’s my favorite author. If you haven’t read The Familiar Upstairs by her yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a bit slow at first, but gets so good.
Wow crazy how there it is 16 degrees in summer meanwhile here where I live it's was 45 degrees Celsius today i almost passed out in the sun today, life would have been a lot easier if it was 20 -30 degrees 😢😢😢😢
Hey Gabby! Always love your videos! 😃 I really wanted to hear about The Chateau … Won’t be purchasing that one! 😂 I’ll get the Lisa Jewel book instead! I really appreciate what you do … It’s really frustrating when you spend money on a book that you don’t enjoy. I just recently got a Kindle and I’m loving it. I subscribed to Kindle Unlimited and that does help to weed out some books. I’d like to get my shelves filled with books that I really love. I didn’t realize how much electronic books have gone up though! They’re as much as a paperback! I need to get hooked up with my local library! Thanks again! ❤❤❤
This May marked 20 years since I graduated high school. Despite the the fact many many life events have occurred, it still feels like yesterday. I met my husband in high school, but I agree, high school overall kind of was crappy. You’re gonna be surprised by how quickly it goes. Pretty soon you’ll look back and it’s been another 10 years and you’re 38 like whattttt
Girl! The dark is a scary place no matter how old you are! 😱😂 I love how much you eat tacos and rice! YUM!! I could eat that everyday! I added the first two books to my list. I'm going to be reading The Chateau for the book club too and now I'm nervous. 😂😂
Talkers in movie theaters are the reason I only go to Alamo Drafthouse theaters now. One warning and you’re kicked out. Thanks for the care on not spoiling The Last One. The number of people I’ve stopped watching because of the careless spoiling with no warning. Appreciate you. ✌🏾
Hey Gabby. Loved your video. I DNF The Marriage Act also for all the same reasons you did. I love John Marrs and I didn’t want to not love this one but Wow, I just couldn’t get thru it. I have been looking forward to The Chateau but now I’m not going to read it. I will get None Of This Is True and The Last One when they come out. Looking forward to those. Thank you for your reviews. 😊
"It's one of my pet peeves when people are like just obnoxiously loud in a movie theater right in my ear" GABBY I AGREE!!!! I HATE IT SO MUCH AS WELL!!!!!!!
Bummer about The Chateau. I just bought that book. But the good news is that I got approved from Netgalley for an Arc of The Last One 😃 can't wait to read it. I do hate reading such long books in ebook format, however. I also look forward to the new Lisa Jewell book.
I’m the same way I feel like my attention span is real bad & if I tried to read physical I know I’m going to struggle on the words & what’s going on so I need the audiobook & the physical copy (& it’s been like that for a while now)
Am also reading (The last one) page 215 accurately and am just not having it with Caz, the going back to her past, with all the memories with Pete, her father and Gemma am just like again.
i enjoy 'the marrige act'. you can not judge a story by the booktuber. they are some book that she like that i didn't like then they are book that she DNF that i enjoy. so even if i enjoy her reading vlogs. the book i like it different for this. I was so sad to find The Marriage Act a bore! I LOVED The One. I *liked* The Passengers. So I expected to love this one. But you’re exactly right: I just didn’t CARE about anyone but Roxy. I pushed through and there was an interesting twist at the end but yeah…. 1984 did it better.
Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) just like the name suggests are copies that readers will get from their library or from publishers before the book is published worldwide. Hope this helps! :)
Gabby I have to ask: does your neck or head ever hurt from reading so much? Lol. I got into reading so much more because of your channel but my neck hurts sometimes 😂
Too bad about the John Marrs book. I loved the one and liked the passengers. I do think the format he writes the books in by following so many characters can be a bit tiring.
I tried 'Then she was gone'. I initially liked the writing and the character development, but during the reveal the captivity parts were just too much to take, I was scrambling to get done with the book from that point, from that aftertaste. Thank you so much Marlene! I appreciate it!
I love the way you review books. Thank you SO much for reading The Last One ⚓️
I think you captured exactly how I feel about Lisa Jewell! Her writing and characters are done well enough to where I don’t really care if the plot twists are surprising or not! The story is just fleshed out enough to where the twists make sense within the world/characters she’s created
I’m so jealous of everyone who’s reading these arc copies! The last one and none of this is true are my two most anticipated for this year!
What did you think?

I can’t wait for Lisa Jewell now
The new hair looks fantastic. Now time for me to settle in with a tea and see which new books I’ll be adding to my TBR from gabby

Your energy is so crazy :-). I wish I could bottle some of it up. I love the books you read, and I am always adding more to my TBR!
I’m excited for the last one! I am happy you liked it bc I had my eye on that one
You did such a good job talking about ‘the last one’ without spoilers! I had the arc (btw it’s called the last passenger in the UK) and it almost drove me crazy trying to review it without giving anything away 😂
thank you!! yes, it's a tough one to review because the main plot is so unexpected haha
What you were saying about your high school self being proud of you was so heartwarming and honestly I’m so proud of you and happy for you as well! We already have The Last One out in the UK but it’s called The Last Passenger here! I’m really excited for the new Lisa Jewell ❤
thanks so much!! :) I hope you enjoy the books!
So glad to see the Lisa Jewell one worked out for you! I really enjoyed I Found You so will definitely put this one on my TBR.
Hope you enjoy it! 😍
Of COURSE the ones I want to read immediately are the ones that don’t come out until August! I can’t wait to find out the twists of the last one!! 🙌🏼

Love love love your thriller vlogs
I’ll definitely be picking up the Will Dean book!
I'm SO happy you loved None of This is True because I love Lisa Jewell's books too!
The Last one is called The Last Passenger in the UK and I devoured it as soon as my copy arrived. It’s currently in my top 5 books of the year ❤️
This video was so fun! I can't wait to read all of these books. Did anyone else get ads for cruises during this vlog? Too funny
No but I keep getting annoying ads from Temu. Today's offer was on a $7 Nintendo switch. I thought that was funny.
😂😂😂
Well you just convinced me to buy the Will Dean book even though I have owned one of his other books for years and I still haven't read that one 🤣The last word sounded so intriguing and the UK ebook is already published so ... I need to know these twists!

Hi gabby
Have u read the acotar series
I would Love for you to do a reading vlog on that ❤
The premise of The Marriage Act sounds a lot like the movie The Lobster..
2 books are coming out on my bday👀 (Aug 8th) You have me excited for both! I'll have to treat myself😁
Ahhh that’s so exciting you have the same birthday as my dad haha 😍💗
@@gabbyreads OMG WHAT A COINCIDENCE 😯😂👏
I almost almost DNF’d the new John Marrs, I finished it and was not impressed.
i love your videos Gabby
Thank you!! ❤
Nice vlog Gabby
Trying to get back to reading but I have poor attention span, hopefully I can get on your level. Someday...
The Last One reminds me of the movie Triangle
I want to read all the books
Drowning terrified me.
How do you get arcs?
What music are you playing? Sounds kind of like Deep Forest?
Can you recommend me the best novel of Stephen King
The Marriage Act sounds a lot like the movie The Lobster.

Omg hahaha that’s so CUTE I love that 🥹💗 I need to say that instead haha
Idk if you’ll consider this a compliment or not but your mannerisms remind me of Jojo Siwa 😂❤ It’s the energy level, I think!
