Considering ours (Canada) are having a midlife retit right now, and getting modern electronics/sonars, i would vote for victorias.

The Ula class would have the edge if operating in the rugged coastline of Norway, like narrow fjords etc.

The Canadian submarine is packed with the latest technology. That fire we had made us careful.
By the way, we don't know the actual speeds, deepest depth possible, or stealth technology.
In fact, our subs can go nuclear any time.
I am surprised that they haven't.
    Or not.
    Stealth subs are amazing.

The issue with the "Norwegian" sub, is that its not manufactured in Norway. If a war breaks out, parts and maintenance is still in Germany.

Ula class getting replaced, but if i had to pick between theese 2 personally i would probably go with the Ula class for the simple fact they seem to be a smaller but just as capable submarine. But both of theese are really old and should be looking at getting upgrades / replacments fairly soon.

Victoria Class obviously. I have no idea how the maker of this video came to the conclusion no one won. Victoria class has brand new sensors and radars , longer range and they fire mod 7 mark 48 heavyweight torpedos … it’s a no brainer

@@defencelearning2785 the reality is the Victoria class is a much better platform. The skills of the submariner have no bearing on the distance/length of time the sub can be submerged for or if it has better radar or acoustic technology and weapons systems ..

The Ula looks like an excellent coastal defense sub, smaller, quicker, and more nimble that the the Victoria class. The Victoria is a larger boat with much longer range and seems like it would be better suited to ocean patrol duties. Other than some of the most obvious physical specifications the video doesn't discuss any of the critical qualities that make a submarine effective, including quietness, sensor effectiveness, weapons capability, etc. What was the point of this video again?

To promote this RUclips channel. The real experts of the Canadian Victoria class are under the Official Secrets Act.

The sonar and electronic equipment on the Canadian subs is top notch. The subs are very quiet too, but these are not going to last too much longer. The main advantage is that despite their age, they havent been to depth all that long so the hulls are still okay for now.
Canada would work with Norway, and not against it. We cannot afford to lose any!
