- This is hardest decision of my career. Having to choose my new path as a professional angler isn’t easy. With Bassmaster and FLW/MLF being the two choices in front of me, I have chosen my passion and some unfinished business over money. I am so excited to bring you all along for the ride in 2020. I would love to hear your comments and thoughts.

not saying FLW anglers are bad, but the BASSmaster elite series is a better test for testing your skills as an angler because there is a larger variety of lakes to fish and it's not always the same lakes. that's was when I used to watch it a lot.

I remember your first year of fishing with FLW, back then it was a bit of a disappointment since I was a big fan of your ol' man and BASS. You've come a long way Scott and now I cant wait until you win the Classic! Stay blessed!
Good luck Scott; sounds like you've put a lot of thought into the decision. With all of the resources/networking you've worked hard to garner, I respect the fact that you are pursuing the Elites through the same path any bass fisherman can pursue. I'm sure most in the fishing community can respect that. Sounds like there will be a few more FLW anglers following a similar path --- going to make for a very competitive 2020 Bassmaster Opens Series with FLW/MLF/BASS angleres in the fields -- big fields and anglers gunning for the Elite Series! Looking forward to seeing the footage, good luck! Also really looking forward to saltwater; that Freeman is a special vessel!

I always had the utmost respect for all and everything you've done and this big decision is such a big and nice opportunity for everyone. This change reaches probably farther than you may imagine right now. On the FLW it's opening the door for changes with your departure, on BASS, it feels like the prodigy coming back home after years on a voyage. Can't wait to see you out there and honestly, I can't imagine you not doing good out there. It's the same format, most of the same rules and to top it off, you're fueling your drive with the best possible thing: pure passion! Good luck out there Scott and tight lines!
