It's spring 2023 and I still have the 16s. Still the best euc ever. I'm 75 Kg and it does around 60Km per charge. I ride offroads, roads, hills with no problem. Super portable with its 17 Kg only. BEST ONEWHEEL EVER 👍🥇
Excellent review, Great details, I ride Motorcycles, and have a headlight flasher, that flashing creates a sense of movement, which really catches the attention of the drivers that are half asleep while driving, and there are a Lot of Half comma drivers in my town. I also have a Tail light that flashes 5 times then Brake light On solid, for those in a comma behind you. I Think the more visible and attention you get the less of a chance someone wont pull out in front of you, or slam into, or turn in front of you. You are a Very thin profile, and on a car the front Windshield Frame can block out that Thin profile very easily. I am Really Liking what I see on the New KS16X with the Wrap around Mood Lighting, I would Like to be able to change the Mood Lighting, I would think a Lean sensor that when you turn Right the Left band of LEDs stays on Amber and the Right Band Flashes Amber Like a Turn signal, Also I would use those Mood Lights as Extra Brake Lights when Braking on the rear, and White LEDs in front going forward for More visibility, Being Seen is Very Important as being a very small Profile, and the more of a chance you Wont be seen. The More flashing Lights you have the More chance you wont get Hit, or have to do evasive Maneuvers to avoid a crash/close call. I would stick a Bright battery operated Bicycle flashing tail light on the back of my Helmut for city riding.
Your reviews are good and captivating. A lot of useful information, exactly what newbies like myself look for. I really like your style. You inspired me and I just purchased the KS16S using the link you provided. Side note: Looks like you are in the Denver area, maybe one day we cross paths on our wheels.
This was the true successor to the Ninebot in every aspect. If you had avoided Gotway's completely you wouldn't be as concerned with speed so much. I would alternate between the Ninebot and Kingsong for a week, that way you'll appreciate how much of an upgrade the 16s really is. Good review man.
So glad you posted this video. I did not realize it was possible to turn an euc that tightly. I am still struggling to turn around in the street. Now I have a new challenge. Feel free to post a video on how you turn like that. And good review.
This is the wheel my homey let me borrow to learn with. It's harder than riding the Sherman. I rode the Sherman for the first time and picked it up pretty quick. Now I'm that I'm at home, I needed something to practice on, so he let me borrow the 16S. Any tips?
After much research I pulled the trigger on a 16s, I love it but as a pedal unicycle rider since 11 yrs old I’m constantly seem to be hitting the speed limiter and given the rough roads and driveways in the small town I live in, I really wish I would of at least got a 16xs Love ur vids Chooch!!!!
My wheel is a kingson 16s which with a wait of 17 kg... can you jump on a regular size curb with a wheel this heavy ? i'm asking because i'm a noob still and i'm still learning.
So what's the long term review on this wheel? Do you still ride it? What kind of range do you normally get on it (and how much do you weigh?)? I currently ride a segway minipro and a miniplus. I've somehow bumped into a unicycle article and got curious because of the speed. I love my segways, but they don't go fast enough for me. I ride my seaways in rain, snow, gravel and dirt roads I mean I ride them on any Terrain except sand for obviously reasons. Does this king song 16S give me that same flexibility?
I don't know about the M-Super v3s but my updated ACM (the ACMs+, not v2) hasn't had problems so far, even after 1000+ miles of riding (top speed 99% of the time). I think I once heard someone say that the ACM has the best cooling/ventilation of any Gotway wheel, so that might be the reason that I don't have overheating problems. Great review, by the way.
Daniel Martynovich yea my acm is great but it's one of those that has a lot of play in forward and back engaging, seems really soft to ride not responsive, many older acms had this issue
chooch tech There's an app for Android that allows you to change how much play there is when leaning in its settings. It's called GotwayES (should be the first option to show up if you just search "gotway" on the Google Play store). Hope this helps.
Thanks for the review. I was considering this wheel, couple of questions though. Would you recommend getting the 16 or the 16s? What are your thoughts on the Tesla? Thanks, bless you
I'm trying to decide on a first wheel in the Seattle downtown area. I was leaning toward the KS-16S, but now I'm wondering about the V10F. What do you think?
I go up to seattle every year for the dota 2 international so mad its in Vancouver this year, those hills are no joke in Seattle man, go with the gotway msuper v3s+ and just take it slow first week or so, then unleash the full power, it will go 30 mph up those massive hills and will have a ton of left over charge at the end of the day. For Seattle you need a high watt hour battery like 1300 to 1600
Hey chooch. I’m in Seattle. Buying an euc tomorrow. Looking at is 16s or GotWay mcm5 the man climber. Looking to do over 10 miles to work then I can charge and come back. Which would u think. I’m new to euc. Never been on one but I don’t drive it’s gonna be my daily transportation
@@lucasskywheeler9818 how's it going? Did you get one? Edit-I see you got one ine your channel, can I ask how's the tire wear and if they needed replacing was it a pain to do? Also is it hard to learn? Thank you
I have seen it on other channels.....looks HYPE of course bud😀👍 I am super NEW to the unicycle market. How much for this one and what site do you recommend to buy one?
Excellent review chooch. I just got one of these. My first unicycle and it's very difficult to use. Any tips on how to control the balance on these things?
yea man i got a great tip that will have you riding very soon, take a belt and put it through the top handle with the trolley closed put the belt on the last loop so you can pull upwards on the belt and use it sorta like a handle to apply counter force when learning. It also keeps the wheel from falling over and scratching up. Thank you man and you will learn fast it just is a very awkward feel at first. Cheers!
chooch tech legend. Thanks very much! I've been or practicing with the belt and it definitely helps! I can go forward for about a second or two before falling off, which is progress! How long did it take you to get the hang of it?
about 3 days before i was smooth sailing, use a wall or a long hallway and use the wall for that bit of help when needed. You will have it down by the end of this week like it is natural i will bet.
Chad Robbins Hi! If you have the money, buy the 16X, it is close to the SUV-feeling” the 18xl have for long distance due to the wider 3” tire. The 16 is easier to maneuver. I will buy the updated ver2 ks16s 840wh, since I can’t afford the X. Hope that helps.
well it depends on what you like personally, both are great but from what i have experienced the overall riding style and ease of use of the 16s suits me, i have a friend with a v8 and he really likes that wheel compared to the ks16s. Honestly your preference because both are outstanding wheels! I really want the inmotion v10f as my daily commuter.
Thanks Chooch. I just ordered KS-16S and cancelled my order when I saw your V10F comment! Have your tested V10F? I will be using it for commuting and performance/quality/low maintenance/durability/ease of use/reasonable speed are all important. Looks are not that important.
Have not tried the V10f but i hope to have if for review soon, i will see if i can get one to review in the next few weeks. I suspect it to be good though. Still cant go wrong with the 16s if you want something now.
Got it thanks. You did this helpful KS-16S review in Sep 2017. Any new insights to share (good or bad)? Do you know if King Song is coming with a new model soon to compete with V10F. I dont mind waiting a few weeks especially if the value received could be much higher...
Hi, I have few more questions as I am very keen to buy 16S 2. Do you know if it is legal to ride EUC in UK? 3. Can it be carried overseas in flight? are airlines okay keeping this in check in bags ? any safety threats? 4. Is KS16S still the best overall wheel in market? I am looking for very long rides also but have heard some negative reviews of all the 18inch models? 5. In few weeks Inmotion is releasing V10 after their v. successfull V8 model, is it worth waiting ? Thanks very much. :)
Gaurav Uniyal legality is a grey area all over the world, they are not allowed on flights (from what I know of after a few on the forums tried) ks 16 is best overall wheel I believe as of now, and inn motion has a sorta mediocre entry to the market with a lot of problems and mediocre range. Go with the ks16 or 18l when it's released.
The FAA no longer allows large, palletized shipments of these batteries to be transported as cargo on passenger aircraft. But I can´t see the problem to allow it in your luggagge at cargo hold....ask the flight company first to be sure
You were giving that review, but I was hearing all those comments from folks as you flew by. Lol You’ve heard of photo bombing. Audio bombing? I watched again anyways and got all your points.
oh yea people are always shouting stuff and trying to bomb photos in Denver, just gotta act like you dont see them to avoid offering them the entertainment. Glad you enjoyed the video man!

Very helpful to choose the right wheel
I finally pulled the trigger on the ks 16s, thanks for your insight and advice. Bless you.
awesome to hear, enjoy it and be safe my friend!

Reasons why I ask is because I notice wen rideing my panels they start moving up and dwn.and I can't control it.i have to jump off

use your hips and sort of twist instead of leaning, also having higher air pressure should help with tight turns. cheers my friend!
How is it in the rain can this be a rain wheel
KS 16S or Inmotion V8F 🤔
Great, thanx man. Ride on!😎
Nice review!:)

David, the 16s is one of the easiest wheels. Also one of the best for it's super smooth turns, very fast stops and for its super light weight.
Also the acceleration is awesome.
In first few seconds on traffic lights i'm quicker than most Cars👍
Thanks like your video
Is ks 16s still worth it this 2022?
Gdmorn, questions I have ninebots2,the panels are can I change it to a big panel?
how'd you fix the axil on the gotway?
Great video. You have any reviews on KS14D?

Love ur vids Chooch!!!!
Part of my decision for 16s was it was in stock and I was anxious to own an euc PERIOD 😺 lol
chooch what the best 1k euc vs 2kish right now
Found a used one for 1000, is this still a good one for a beginner?
U got the fastest1,aws they have 2 batteries more pwr than 14d

Daniel Martynovich thanks man! I have no android devices, galaxy tab broke, so I need a cheap beater phone or tablet now lol.
Thanks for the review. I was considering this wheel, couple of questions though. Would you recommend getting the 16 or the 16s? What are your thoughts on the Tesla? Thanks, bless you
