One of my students reminded me of this superb offering from Metallica. My first experience of this track was live with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra... a version I actually prefer massively. But still gotta love the original.

what's changing at the 35. measure? i don't understand.

Hey man, it's a metric modulation. All it means, is that rather than divide our 1 2 3 4 into 16th notes (1e+a2e+a....), we now divide it into 3 equally spaced eighth note triplets (1+a2+a...). It changes the flow from straight to swung.

The score isn’t oddly written, it’s just much more like a real music sheet than a simple score. It has repeats and actually shows the time change
