- This is a video of one of my friend's 1-1/2" scale Cotton Belt Bicentennial locomotive. This was taken at The Orange County Model Engineer's 2013 Spring Meet. The locomotive traveled around the California and Arizona areas for several years and was just recently sold.
This is the only one in this paint scheme in the hobby. This was its last run before it got sold... The old owner is a good friend of mine. I'm getting a 40T-2 soon.
WOW a 1-1/2" tunnel motor!!!!! GOT. TO. START. SAVING. FOR. ONE. NYSW PAINTED OF COURSE
Nice classic Tunnel Motor
You just bought this engine didn't you? I saw this one, or at least it's twin on DLS for sale about a month ago. As you may have noticed, I'm a particular fan of the 45T-2's... In fact there's a trio of them pulling the grade on the B&LE main heading south as I type this here in PA.
Nice... my goal is to build a trio of B&LE tunnels.. 900 906 and 910. Each one is just a little bit different. That's a lot of work though!
OMG That is awesome!!
Just seeing if you have picked up the NYSW tunnel motor yet?
I'm having #3016 built. It should be done in a few months.
last question i swear. Are there any manufacturers in this scale that make working scale horns for these trains? i mean like a mini P5 or K5LLA?
Yeah there are scale horns. This one has the scale horns on top of the cab.
This one was made by Mountain Car Company.
who makes/made the tunnel motor?
Funny that you say that... Stay tuned to my channel because you should be seeing one of those pretty soon!
@2005GLI no havent picked it up yet... keep checking my channel for a video... will probably be a couple months yet
whatttttt???
Nah, he means WORKING horns... The answer is no. You wouldn't be able to get the sound right. You need a specific length and diameter of tube to get the tones right. All you'd get is a little squeak.
Oh yeah. you're right.... wouldnt work.
