Many years ago, I "LOST" a Family to a Disease that Claimed her "LIFE" ,and Needed to take AMTRAK to get there, it was One of the "BEST and GREATEST" Services I ever had on the Trip, and REALLY Took Care of me "During my state of Sorrow and Grief", I Recommend anyone who Lost a Family Member to take the time to go on AMTRAK and see 👀 for yourself!!!!🙂🙂🙂🙂

Amazingly, this locomotive would be appropriately at home in Ohio of all places. Near the end of steam, around 1956, Pennsy leased a group of SF 2-10-4's for an upsurge in traffic on it's line from Columbus to Sandusky, Ohio. The PRR had retired most of it's larger steam locomotives by then, and found themselves short on power when they could not get new Diesel-electrics fast enough. The Santa Fe was retiring steam power at the time and leased a dozen or more Texas types to PRR to cover the shortfall. I don't think Pennsy returned them to the Santa Fe when they were done with them, I think they went straight to scrap from Ohio. So, a live steamer in Ohio could legitimately buy this engine to operate as prototype there. There are a couple of commercially available videos of these engines in service on the PRR.
