Me too. Cool characters. Being little they were kinda mysterious because I only saw them on the back of the card. Brainiac just appeared as the Terminator version. Firestorm was on a season before. I was really getting into them. Then poof! Gone.
@@TitularHeroine My brother's Brainiac's arm broke off so we did get a second one -- and that one broke too. We also lost his skull cap both times. Lame.
So if, according to this promo presentation, there were "13 mighty heroes" at the time, and "9 viscous villains" plus Darkseid "the unapproachable leader of eeeeeeevil™", then you'd need four parademons total to make it "fair". I am probably merely indulging in an ADHD ramble right now, and nothing more, so feel free to lash out with the nerd-slurs. I understand. 😂😂😉
As a kid collecting this line it always felt out of balance -- wave one had 12 figures -- 8 heroes & 4 villains -- and 2 villains were Superman Villains, 2 were Batman. Then Wave 2 only added 4th World Darkseid & his minions rather than Legion of Doom characters. I think some of my lost interest in wave 2 was the lack of cool villains I knew from Super Friends and other DC cartoons of the age.
@@RetroToyPrincess I could always clearly imagine what a Toyman figure would've looked like, he seemed to represent that lack for me -- and he was the suckiest Legion of Doom member, even. So yeah, I think your assessment is on the nose. :)
I would have loved to have gotten Firestorm, Red Tornado, and Braniac figures when I was a kid.
We had them. Yes. You would have. The sculpts on those still have not been topped by any version almost 40 years later.

LOVIN IT!!!
I remember my sister got me the Superman figure. You squeeze his legs and he would punch. I unfortunately over squeezed and broke his leg
I broke Robin’s leg. Mostly they’d get wobbly at our house. The action features were cool but did not always stand up to extended play.
Brainiac seemed particularly fragile. I'm not sure but I must've had him twice.
