      So what if I don't make no money? I don't make money now! And nobody is going to fine this dopey little channel for $42k. Isn't it obvious I'm broke!?

    I love both the Super Powers Superman and Toy Biz Superman almost equally! They're both so reminiscent of Christopher Reeve's Superman and comic books of the time ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanks for this super awesome comparison video!!! Two of my all-time favorite lines of action figures.

      Don’t think I’ll make one but it warrants an update with the new mcfarlane fig for comparison.

    I have a huge kenner super powers collection I'm about to part with.

    I hate how the toy biz ones had a glossy paint on them. Also fun fact, their superman figure was shorter than batman, by a lot.

      It all comes full circle. Ben Affleck is a lot taller than Henry Cavill.

    As someone who loved Kenner Super Powers and was a little too young to understand that Toy Biz had picked up the license to produce inferior versions of the same characters, I can distinguish at a glance the different toys. If Toy Biz had just focused on making previously unseen characters (Catwoman! Supergirl! Man-Bat!), we wouldn't be lamenting their poor sculpts thirty years later. When you remake characters who were perfected a handful of years before, you're begging to be criticized.

      I wish the line went on longer. The Marvel stuff took a while but continually got better with Spider-man and the X-men. The DC figs didn't dig too deep into the roster and was over. Even if they didn't get better I would have loved Super Powers figures I missed out on like Plastic Man and Shazam.

    The black batman was actually sculpted differently on purpose to look like the costume from the 1989 movie. If you compare photos you will see that the black Toybiz Batman costume is almost identical to the movie costume in every way. Whereas the Kenner Batman toyline for the movie is no where near as spot on to the movie costume as the Toybiz costume is.

      Since I started customizing figures I’m fascinated with old school toy design. Kenner just took an old Super Powers Batman and put some sculpy clay on some parts and gave him a new head. I love the slap dash approach they took.

    I always knew the Toy Biz figures were resculpts due to the fact that thee Toy Biz figures were bulkier than the Kenner line.

    • @BlackTerror

      Definitely a resculpt but how close they are to the originals leads to so many questions. Were they resculpted just to avoid a lawsuit with Kenner for being a total knockoff? Were they resculpted because they screwed up knocking off kenner? Did a designer just cheat and hand in these sculpts like he was a student copying a book report online?

    The Batman and Flash were bigger than the other figs in the line. Batman of course because of the Tim Burton movie. I presume Flash because at the time Flash was a semi hit tv show.

    • @BlackTerror

      That’s probably true. I knew I had to have my Flash figure because of the show at the time. He’s been my third favorite DC hero behind batman and superman ever since.

    I'mma have to go with Michael Keaton's Kenner like over all the Batman lines

      I find the movie flawed as an adult but any toy based on Batman 89 has a special place in my heart.

    Hi , saw ur vid and its was good. Was wondering if the toybiz figures are considered “ fakes” ???

    • @BlackTerror
      @BlackTerror  3 года назад +1

      Not really fakes. Toybiz got the DC license Kenner used to have and just lazily redid the super powers. I’d classify them more as rereleases even though the molds aren’t exact copies. They’re also officially licensed by DC so they’re not bootlegs.

    Actually the reason why toybiz has tiny differences is because that would be Plagiarism if they copied

    • @BlackTerror
      @BlackTerror  2 года назад

      I have been fascinated by the mysteries of this toy line for 30 years. Superman and Robin are new sculpts although damn near identical so I guess that avoids plagiarism but the The Riddler IS Kenner's Flash with some details changed. I guess since they took something and changed it into something else that is okay too.
