Dad you raced through and did an awesome explanation no long winded talking I have the same rack for some who have stability issues a sand bag on each leg works❤
Bought one of these for my son to maintain his bike while in College, it worked well, stores compact, was excellent for a dorm room. The only complaint was that the cam/clamp bolt and barrel nut for the frame clamp stripped and the frame clamp will not tighten. I have an email into CXWXC for a replacement. We'll see how they respond. If not, I'll get a hardened bolt and fabricate a new clamping cam bolt.
I bought one on Prime Day 2024. Instructions had no parts list showing part and quantity, just a picture with arrows pointing at some parts. Mine came short of the rubber pieces that secure the front tire. I googled for an email address because the Instructions didn't have one. Its been 5 days, and they haven't responded. I would buy the rubber pieces if I knew where to get them. Side Note: I was saving my purchases for Amazon Prime Day and bought three mid sized purchases. All three had something wrong: missing pieces, broken weld, etc. I think I've learned a lesson about Prime Day purchases - don't.
Great methodical assembly man, appreciated. I had mine together, but was mystified by the mechanism that allows the 360 degree rotation of the clamp until I saw that you have to move the lever up to disengage it. Regarding your question about whether you use the seat post or top tube for clamping, I heard someone say for stell frames, the top tube is good, but not carbon, so use the seat post in those cases. I did a lot of research-standard for me-before buying this, but I doubt you can get a much better stand for the money, I'm really impressed by how rigid the tubes are. I I lucked out with a $25 discount that day too, so $89 Canadian.
@@DadTechTV I've already used mine a number of times with my new set of components, Campy Centaur 11, so lots of adjusting needed vs my old Athena group. The only thing I struggled with was the lever that aedjusts the front holder part.
I found the 14" for sale on FB marketplace and grabbed it for almost nothing. A little small but great for getting into the WSM's. I was then very lucky to have a friend buy a new smoker and hook me up with his 22". Did a whole turkey on the 22". It's huge! Love both of them.
Getting the tool tray was a PITA plus i thought the entire tray was magnetic. That might help tools from flying off if you bump or knock the stand over. Overall nice stand. Got mine for $70.
Killer price. I bet we could pick up some nice magnets at Home Depot and just superglue them to that tray. Might have to try that. Thanks for the idea!!
@@DadTechTV Yeah Amazon has it on a limited time deal so I took it. I seen others for 200 dollars. Almost went for it but I'm glad Amazon knows me by algorithm
@@DadTechTV I got one. Seems to work well. I find my seat post just slides through it though. Do you out a rag in or something? Also the whole thing tends to tilt a bit when the bike is on I guess that’s to be expected
@@BJJandBS I usually have it at the top of the seat post by the seat so it won't slide. I haven't noticed an overall tilt when the bike is on, but I'll take a look.
@@DadTechTV I just feel a bit more explanation to the proper use of the clamps is important. I have got the stand now for 2 weeks, have not properly use it yet.

You may have discovered the brace arm generally goes on the bike, handlebar to seatpost.
Thanks for sharing.

I've had no complaints so far. Let me know if you get a response from them and how customer service was.

Sorry to hear. You can probably just exchange the item through Amazon.
You don't need $400 stand for an expensive bike. It works just fine, no problems on my fleet of bikes
Agreed. Works perfectly
Thanks for the video. Watched the video and found it easy to put together.

i'm still using mine and it's still holding up well.

How is this working out?
No issues at all. Works well for my needs. Folds up to store nicely

The crucial parts are the clamps, how easy to use, not explained well. Should use the stand for a few weeks prior to doing the video.
been using it for a while now and it's a pretty sturdy stand for the money!
