I’m 24 and if i’m gonna get married i wanna have what you have guys cause really you’re so cozy and warm together and it’s more like a friendship than a marriage and that’s what i want god bless you 😍
I didn't have a wedding and it is the best decision you can ever make. I don't think anyone ever regrets not having one. Cause when you start living together you realize how useless and not significant that one day is. People prepare for their weddings, but never think about what comes after
I have to admit that i was about to have some prejudice about Jasmine when youtube first recomended me her videos (I thought yet another shallow and sperficial fashion "influencer") but i quickly stumbled upon her video about why she didn't want a wedding and i felt really bad because it showed that she was more a reasonable, deep, complex, thoughtful, wise, cultured person than i originally thought she was. Like Jasmine and Daoud said, i know that what i'm writing is not a popular opinion but i really think that what you chose to do with your money, time and mind says a lot about you. Obiously i'm not talking about those that are pressured by their parents to do it when they really don't want to but finally give up to please their parents. (in that case i'm talking about the parents). If it wasn't for the "no wedding video" i would have skipped their channels and missed some really interesting and entertaining videos . I try to not judge books by their covers but sometimes it's hard when there is only the cover... It seems like superficiality is taking over and it's so sad. (Channels talking about clothes and make up have millions of followers and channels making a lot of effort talking about science or philosophy for exemple barely enough. The amount of people that know more about the Kardashians than their own History is almost depressing). It's like what Jasmine said about the whole nose job situatuon in Lebanon. I didn't know about that. Never considered that changing your nose could become something so casual. I feel like it's symptomatic of where our society is currently going. It also kind of underline what i'm talking about (the whole superficiality is taking over).. Anyway i'm glad you and your husband found better use for your mind, money and time than a wedding! It makes me happy and hopefull that people like you exist... i wish you the best!
Having a wedding/gathering is actually a MUST in Islam. "Give a feast, even with one sheep.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1943; Muslim, 3475). “Announce marriage.” (Narrated by Ahmad, 4/5; classed as saheeh by al-Haakim, 2/200; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1072).
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ often did housework and done his own thing (fixing his clothes, stitching them, washing etc). Honestly it really annoys me that when a man is just being HYGIENIC and cleaning his own DAMN HOUSE he is called a “simp”. I hope everyone are simps to their spouses. Everyone should go above and beyond for their spouse and loved ones.
Mariam Mousa meaning if they were Sunni actually, they wouldn’t be stretching it too much, just say you wouldn’t like to disclose it and we’d respectfully accept. But they went on to tell us the importance of what they believe and dont. If someone’s Sunni, they’re never like.. i don’t wanna say, they’re mainly proud of that.
Well maybe if they do say they are shia, the amount of hate they will get as a lot of people call shias kaffir and have misleading info about them, which shows more about the other people. I don't see we it's a big deal this whole sect thing, people just need to mind their own business and focus on their own imam cause you lot didn't follow because of this which shows people's intentions and reason to why they might follow them which is not pure.
As far as I know. I think that people asked you a Sunni/Shia Question for the following possibilities 1) They genuinely wanted to view you people as a couple in relevance to them. Either you were both Sunni or both Shia or one Sunni and other Shia. Because all these possibilities do exist. 2)Out of curiosity 3) They are more religious minded hence are more introspective. Therefore, like to know exactly whose content they are watching.
They are Shia. I know Dawoud’s family in Hamilton and they ARE Shia. Although, I think their Shi’ism is either watered down or played down… because they talk and behave like us Sunnis (and the way they adored the Ka’bah was purely Sunni-like). Shia usually adore their Imam’s shrines in Karbala more than the Ka’bah and they post crazy slogans about Ashura and Hussain all the time! But these two don’t. Perhaps because they’re influenced by the Sunni majoriry around them everywhere… or just for the sake of a wider Muslim audience (which would also be Sunni).
Jasmine.. thank you for being so honest about not having a lot of friends... I always felt like as we get older it gets harder to have friends and it was only me.
Love these two because they can think critically and impartially. Also, Jasmine is so beautiful and I'm so glad she has her original nose! I honestly cannot see anything wrong with it. Why mess with perfection?

Thank you Jasmine for talking about the listening to sheikh debates. Please people, make sure you listen to those who are not just attacking each other all the time. i appreciate your honesty and good intentions but regarding the Sunni-Shia topic i gotta share a fact, cuz truth shouldn't be hidden even if it triggers some people. Like Jasmine and Dawood said religion, politics are subjects that can bring a lot of heat. People can be so passionate they forget how to be polite and decent human beings with one another.
That being said, internet is a place where the new generations search for answers. (For example: Jamsine and Dawoud video on their "first night as a married couple" could be very helpfull to a lot of persons (more helpful than "certain websites" the internet is filled with).
So even though the comment section is not the best place to discuss Religion or politics and even though it can bring the worst in people. I think there will always be at some point in the middle of the darkness an enlightening comment from someone who wants to share his legitimate knowledge or a way to it. Over the years, I've read many really interesting comments that made me want to learn more . There are so many thing we don't know about that the only sure thing is that we don't know everything. The comment section can sometimes be filled with bad comments of people that think they know everything but it's
also a place where people can debate. It's bad to not be polite and insult people but it's even worse to shut the door for debate. *It's a thing Tyrants do.*
I'm glad we have freedom of speech where i live but I'm more than aware that it's not the case everywhere in the world. I can disagree with people but i want them to be able to speak their minds. Where there's debate, there's light, we can learn, try to find the truth together but where's there's no debate, it's tyranny…

....good point too...to ask more knowledgeable people and from different perspective (and use our moral/read a lot) Because it is the same religion...people who do not seek truth together are the ones who divide. Thank you for speaking about the loss of friendships as you grow older in your 20's and for normalising this. This is something I have struggled with and felt there was an issue with me
People go into the different ways
And if specially you get a right path , people that are bad, or doing wrong things they distance from you
Enjoy yourself
And be happy by yourself
I’m 24 and if i’m gonna get married i wanna have what you have guys cause really you’re so cozy and warm together and it’s more like a friendship than a marriage and that’s what i want god bless you 😍
Marriage is supposed to be friendship 🥰
You know what I mean 😭😂
(May Allah bless your marriage and make it a means for you to get closer to Him, Ameen )
I didn't have a wedding and it is the best decision you can ever make. I don't think anyone ever regrets not having one. Cause when you start living together you realize how useless and not significant that one day is. People prepare for their weddings, but never think about what comes after
I’m exactly like Jasmine. No wedding, my husband is my best friend. Two peas in a pod :)
Everyone should go above and beyond for their spouse and loved ones.
if they were Sunni they would’ve mentioned that 👀
@@imanr8302 um what do you mean
Plus, if they appreciate what you are doing for them, how is it simping ? I think alot of people mis-understand the term and use it way too often.
Why did I keep "aww-ing" throughout this? They are so meant for each other💖💖
I love how both of you always tend to look at things positively and answer in a positive way. That is key.
It’s just feels like they are actually sitting in for t of u talking to u.
As far as I know. I think that people asked you a Sunni/Shia Question for the following possibilities
1) They genuinely wanted to view you people as a couple in relevance to them.
Either you were both Sunni or both Shia or one Sunni and other Shia.
Because all these possibilities do exist.
2)Out of curiosity
3) They are more religious minded hence are more introspective. Therefore, like to know exactly whose content they are watching.
Though the way of asking was quite intriguing tho
Honestly I don’t even care until they make it a point to not share then I’m like 👀👀👀
They are Shia.
I think its great that Dawoud assists Jasmine with the house work.
It shows love and appreciation in their relationship.
Jasmine.. thank you for being so honest about not having a lot of friends... I always felt like as we get older it gets harder to have friends and it was only me.
Love these two because they can think critically and impartially. Also, Jasmine is so beautiful and I'm so glad she has her original nose! I honestly cannot see anything wrong with it. Why mess with perfection?
Dawoud: I am a simple man. I see a mic and I "wawa woo wawa woo wawa ah".

Thank you Jasmine for talking about the listening to sheikh debates. Please people, make sure you listen to those who are not just attacking each other all the time. Listen to sheikhs who argue respectfully and using citations and knowledge from what they studied. Sometimes you can even go yourself and check those references they were talking about. Don't give attention to those who don't know what they're talking about.

one thing I love about this RUclips channel is how "real" they are, meaning they talk about finances, how it actually is being an adult ( having no friends because you want to ficus on your career, etc) its really refreshing as a young adult myself. whereas in other channels they tend to exaggerate reality for the sake of views, where as this channel is so calming and genuinely interesting to watch. Exactly, no Sunni, no Shia, no Sufi etc. There is only one Islam. Believe in Allah swt and His Messengers (pbu them all) and follow what is in the Quran and the authentic Hadith of the Prophet (saw). Whatever contradicts the Quran, whether it be Hadith or not, is not part of Islam.

i appreciate your honesty and good intentions but regarding the Sunni-Shia topic i gotta share a fact, cuz truth shouldn't be hidden even if it triggers some people.
