- After 2 Years and 3 bad junkyard LS Engines, I decided I would go ahead and put a crate motor in the thing to get rid of my low oil pressure problems. Low and behold, IT FREAKING WORKS!

BTW, The car is tuned properly now and I also wanted to clarify the tune has NEVER been the problem for the car.
On all 3 engines, I was told the bearings were fine by the seller. In reality, all of them had bad bearings.

Hey idk if you did it but on older engines like the ls I use heavy duty diesel oil like 15w 40 its like Frank's red hot I put that shit in everything

The problem with LS in a drift car is oil starvation. You really need a bigger oil pan with the hinges to keep oil from sloshing away from pick up. And most guys will run a dry sump. Glad to see you get a new new engine. Congratulations

You have to prime the oil pump before you even crank it. Driver front is an oil port that goes directly to the oil pump. That needs to be filled first if not done that oil pump will be trash in several months.

Yo, just letting you know I subbed because your videos seem to cover a lot of work in one video. Whereas other channels will make an entire video about installing valve covers for an "engine install series" .

LS with the DOD/AFM are notorious for low oil pressure. The motor itself runs low, then the pressure senor has a screen that clogs often and lastely the oil pickup has a gasket issue. You can delete the AFM, If you did all that and still have low oil pressure time for a motor but you already got that!

Did the oil pump come with an extra spring in the box? Read the directions. Some of them you can swap the spring for higher pressure. I almost always prefer a high volume pump over a high pressure pump. But I do not drift. Just a suggestion.
Put a 430/460 in it and you'll be set

cheap throttle body is what’s making that sound, the holes inside aren’t big enough so it makes it sound like that
There’s two vacuum leaks on the motor next to throttle body and one next to driver side valve cover

You need to put a dry sump on so you don't have anymore oil pressure issues, especially with a drift car.
