Support the Trader Joe's employee/ unionization efforts! Here is their gofundme! t.co/GtqL62Txe4

I love how they said they were gonna patch test and said you shouldn't put things all over your face randomly in case you're allergic and then proceeded to rub all over everywhere. Relatable as hell.
Always patch test, folks! ALWAYS PATCH TEST EDIT: Trader Joe's employees are unionizing! Let's support their efforts, we have linked their gofundme in our bio!
I agree 💖💖
I read that as onionizing
Thank you so much for supporting and mentioning this!
I’m I’m so so ppls p
As a Trader Joe’s future mate, unionizing is going to create a lot of problems. I fully support unions but managers won’t be allowed to do any of the hard labor they typically do and it will make everything really difficult. I am all for better pay and benefits but if Mates can’t work as hard as they do the stores will fall apart
Jen getting distracted and then saying "And this is why we left buzzfeed" is a mood
Kristen shouting “DISREGULATED” is so funny and relatable
"don't look manic, just look happy. it's a fine line." wise words to pose by
We would love to see how's your apartment doing after the decluttering and cleaning a couple of months ago. 😊
oh you WOULD. Well. INTERESTING. YOU MAY GET YOUR WISH... next week
@@kitchenandjorn I love this😂🙌
@@kitchenandjorn 😍😱❤️
Give Mia a raise. The “Kitchen rethinking their life choices while Kitchen advice flashbacks play” part was superb. 😂
Mia is like the Lixian of the Kitchen and Jorn show. The sassy subtitled commentary is wonderful.
Kristin luxuriously spraying her face with the rose water is such a Leo season mood
I can't explain it, but "Fight me in an alley, I guess" would be a great line for merch.
Just here to say I love Kristin's no makeup look so much! Kristin, you can totally rock not wearing any makeup and getting the bonus of not having to deal with the sensory stuff!
Probably a good thing they didn't try the Tea Tree oil. If you're gonna use tea tree oil on your skin, I highly recommend diluting it with a carrier oil like Jojoba or Almond oil first. Just like when Kristin tried the TT pads, it can be super harsh and astringent, even for skin that's not sensitive - so use with caution!
Or use it in small spots (I use it against pimples and such) but also as a medicinal sinus opener (yes from the skin)
I use tea tree with jojoba mixture when I get ingrown hairs after waxing, works wonders
For some reason I wouldn’t put my skin care routine in the hands of Trader Joe’s. Thanks for taking one for the team!
Since Jen knows so much about sunscreen can we see a video of y'all rating sunscreens ?? Or just a favorites list (skincare and/or sunscreen)?
"I love being 38 because wrinkles plus acne!" SO relatable 😫
Same
I love how I knew exactly what Jen was talking abt when they said “a ravioli approach” glad to know we think the same 😅
Love y’all so much!! Hope this doesn’t sound rude, but I think the vitamin E oil isn’t supposed to be for on the face… it goes on skin (more like the body) and really helps with stretch marks! It’s also great for pregnant bellies to prevent stretch marks. Lastly, it’s amazing at reducing the appearance of scars! So maybe it’s not the greatest for faces, but works wonders on the body! Love you guys!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Its honestly so nice to see people try face stuff and rate it based on how it triggers their sensory issues rather than just on how good of a job the stuff does - really helpful for those of us who also buy moisturisers etc and then use it once before having to throw it away because of how it feels! 👏
I was getting increasingly concerned for Kristins skin but once again she proved herself the No-Limit Soldier 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
That weird oil blend (the second one you tried!) sounds like it might be good for a cuticle oil pen! So it's not completely useless lol 💅
That one moisturizer in the clear-ish tub is actually a pretty good dupe for clinque's moisture surge moisturzier, which I'm a big fan of. I don't have a tub of the TJ's variety right now, but it works very well.
Kristin, I too have sausage fingers and my husband lovingly calls them my “Lil smokies” like the brand of cocktail weenies 😂💕
Please never stop reviewing every absurd thing at Trader Joe's
Smart move to not try the tea tree oil. It's best used in tiny amount on zits and on cuts to prevent infections, and only if you are sure you react well to it. Not something you want to slather on your face.
I wish that your Trader Joe's had the overnight watermelon mask, it's a fantastic product imo. I have extremely sensitive skin and moderate rosacea and love that product (As well as the rose hip spray, happy you liked that). I don't use it as an overnight mask since those don't work with how much I move about, but as one I apply in the AM after my shower and before rinsing and doing other products. It really helps with redness and reduces swelling, and while it's definitely thick I use a super small amount.
More footage of Kristin calmly spraying her face while Jen sits patiently next to her, please.
I guess I am the only one who enjoys the zing of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap.... Makes me feel alive!
I’ve used the body wash and got it in my lady bits 😅boy does it make you feel alive
The hyaluronic acid serum is really nice at night and that eye cream is also great, for me. I have sensitive skin with rosacea. It is very nice to keep skin care in the fridge. And when I put on my makeup I soak my makeup sponge in cold water. i have not used TJ toner but I keep a spray bottle with the Thayers cucumber in it and that is VERY nice. The Aveeno baby face SPF stick is pretty amazing as for not stinging eyes and skin. The Olay sensitive spf 15 is really nice for oily sensitive skin FYI love you all byeeeeeee
Also I bought a TJ's sunscreen at the behest of the insufferables on reddit (my first mistake lmao) and it was the worst sunscreen ever. It was so bad! I think mineral SPF might not be for me but I have never put a less absorbable product on my skin and I'm including things like towels, old shirt, guest room sheets, foil--
The Ombrelle sensitive also sucks, tho the face is okay? Sensitive has left me smeared in white like I just rubbed chalk everywhere
Which sunscreen did you get? Because one of them is very white and one of them came out very recently and is a super for super goop
Kristen! I have your dress! One of my absolute fav buys from this summer; I feel so confident when I wear it!
God, y’all are somehow always exactly what I need. So much love to y’all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw the comparisons of TJ's sunscreen to supergoop! and immediately wondered what you guys would think of it! Thanks for this amazing vid!
Omg I was a lifeguard for years and SWORE by TJ's sunscreen!
FYI - that's a different sunscreen that came out recently. This vid was probably filmed before that product came out.
This is a different product from that one, this is the TJ'S Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion and the Supergoop dupe is their Daily Facial Sunscreen
I love the jojoba oil, especially for cuticles! I used to use the tea tree oil as a spot treatment for acne. And the argan oil is AMAZING for hair! And the prices can't be beat!! So many cosmetic brands add a huge markup and/or add tons of filler ingredients in their hair and skin oils. Trader Joe's oils are the real deal, and a little goes a long way! Seriously best value!!
this was wonderful! I also have an intense need for Kristin's dress oh my GOD. Also, I am so glad I'm not the only one who has made the deadly peppermint dr bronners mistake. Pretty sure my entire complex heard my yelp.
Me too re: dress
In fact imagine SpongeBob saying “the lid the lid the lid” but it’s me saying “the dress the dress the dress”
I have the same one in pink from Old Navy! It’s super comfy and also has pockets by the way
@@meganhamill4019 omg thank you! I'll have to see if I can find it
@@tinychaosmouse Glad I could help!
Dude, I thought I was the only one who accidentally used peppermint Dr bronner's on the wrong body part. 😬 They lied when they said it was good for everything.
That thumbnail of Jen was giving up “I regret all of my life’s decisions up to this point” vibe 😂
I love that this is a sensory based review because my main problem with trying new skin products is that they will feel ✨icky✨ on my face.
i used to think that all acne products were just supposed to sting and make your face red. turns out I just have really sensitive skin 😂
Im gonna start using " Don't look manic, just look happy" in my everyday life.
"I don't acknowledge that I have feet" that's possibly the most relatable thing I've heard
also Trader Joes/ video suggest: every dumpling!! I think I've seen someone do that and there's a lot of them and I would enjoy your opinions.
I use the tj argan oil as beard oil. It works great. Just be sure to work it into the skin surface more than the hair itself because facial hair pulls moisture away from your skin and causes dryness and itchiness.
I love the rose toner. I literally paused your video to go spray some on my face when Kristin was spraying it. It's so refreshing!
"the sun is mean"
same vibe as
"the sun is a deadly lazer"
I feel like this show is a prime example of what happens when you leave two chaos goblins together with minimal supervision. I love it 😂
I love this because it's not about what the product does or how it works, but how it feels! No one ever talks about that
Favorite part was phantom of the opera-ing the sheet mask. 🤣
It’s a misconception that oily skin people shouldn’t use additional oil. The sebum is overproducing oil bc it thinks it’s dry. I thought I had oily skin but after working on my skincare routine, it actually became less oily
Not true, oil glands produce at a constant rate mostly determined by genetics. It's an illusion when it seems like you get oilier right after over-cleansing, because your pores are emptied out and the oil can freely flow out, it's the same amount being made it just reaches the surface more quickly. (That's not to say that you're wrong about oily ppl using oil, we do need to moisturize effectively too)
It depends on your skin but I agree, using coconut oil on my oily face has been great for me
I don’t have sensitive skin at all and I really enjoy the face washes from TJs. I’ve tried both now and while they each can leave my face a little tight, my skin has been smooth and clear and I haven’t experienced adverse reactions
The coq10 pronunciation after only ever having read it instead of ever hearing it is the most relatable
I have sensitive skin, so I'd be down to see you try other skincare!!
when Jen asked "are you going to eat that?" about the ice cube, I audibly cackled
I love the gel moisturizer, it does fantastic things for stupidly dry skin around my ankles.
Jen "Can I have bottom face?" LOL
My skin care products are that I rinse with water and wear my son's sunscreen.
I cracked up at least four times and startled my almost-asleep toddler. Good times, thanks!
I love everything y'all do. Don't ever stop!
Thank you for posting even though you’ve had a lot going on!
Thanks, we've been working hard to try and keep our heads above water but it's been really REALLY tough
@@kitchenandjorn I know this is your job and money is necessary for surviving but mind yourselves first and foremost!
I would love to see a comparison video like with foundations but for SPF moisturizers. I've tried several and have oily skin, but it's hard to know what's economical and also going to feel okay enough that I'll finally make that routine happen more often.
As an adult who doesn't even wash their face let alone "do skincare" I don't know why I watched this. But I did.
Perfect timing ❤️ right when I needed it the most❤️
I too have made the mistake of peppermint dr bronners in the cooch. Minty fresh for hours.
Y'all are a delight as always! If anybody's interested in what parabens are (turns out, not scary!) here's one of my other fave youtubers who's a cosmetic chemist explaining why certain chemicals are helpful in beauty products: ruclips.net/video/wkWX2AXNuxg/видео.html
omg i KNEW this was going to be a labmuffin video, i love her as well ♥♥
Commenting to promote this in youtube's comment-sorting algorithm, everyone needs to see this and I wish the paraben-free trend would die already
Kristin is like the very patient mum and Jen is the kid she is always cleaning up after. I didn't even know Trader Joe's did skin care
I use the Vitamin E oil on my lashes and eyebrows before I fall asleep-reusing a mascara wand works better than the expensive stuff you buy at Sephora.
This video was amazing. Great job Kitchen, Jorn, Kelley
I love jojoba oil but I've never tried it on my face before. I love it for my cuticles! Thanks for the great videos!
I would absolutely love to just hang out with y'all!! The half masks were very Phantom of the Opera lol
i love the tips w retinol use ! i’ve been using prescription retinoid for 4 years n it’s one of those things that need patience. love this video :D
I have definitely accidentally given myself a chemical peel by being too enthusiastic about my retinol useage
LOL I never realized just how much Jen repeats what Kristin says
‘Don’t look manic - just look happy. There’s a fine line.’ Me @ me whenever someone asks me how it’s going and it’s Penalty Box Bad but they Cannot know that
I keep thinking that they have reviewed every category possible from Trader Joe’s but I am continuously pleasantly surprised lol I never even knew TJ offered skincare!
Kitchen: My feet are independent contractors
Me: Like Mr./Mrs. Potato Head? 😆
LOVEE Trader Joe’s is my FAVORITE Store of all time! They have the best everything and amazing xoxo 🥰
I love Mia’s editing, the captions on screen are hilarious 😂
Every time they wiped their faces with the washcloths, I winced. XD
just starting using Jojoba oil on my nails and wow! it's amazing! and Kristen with the Bronner's, yup, I used the Tea Tree Oil one and can confirm: tingly 😅😅
“Even if your friends are pressuring you” 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks you for taking one for the team and trying this. My Trader Joe’s doesn’t have any of this.
I use the nourish oil free face moisturizer. It's good for me but I have dry skin.
The oil is awesome if you mix it with lotion. Super moisturizing!
Have watched you two from the BEGINNING of the journey Mid 2000s
SO HAPPY you two stayed together
Love Jen's shirt! Perfect
Kris... your hair is so long and beautiful
If you ever see this... where did you get your dress? ♡
“My feet are independent contractors” 😂😂
Jojoba also makes an excellent cuticle and hand oil if you have dry hands and trash cuticles like I do lol. Feeling for you sensitive beans doing this. I use gentle everything and have not worn makeup in years. Everything burns my eyes lol. Love the video, thank you.
Always look forward to these videos :)
Jen, what spa/sunscreen do you use? been on the looksy-loo for a while now and also have sensitive skin
In my younger days ( much younger) I had sensitive skin also. Eventually it gets better.
Phantom of the Opera moment with that face mask! My skin is so sensitive, I am so weary of everything. I also find that products recommended to me that are for sensitive skin, mess me up even more. :(
Alternate Title: Kristin Tortures Herself for 17 Minutes While Jen Protests XD
I’d say the dr bronners is less of a burn and more of a cooling effect (affect?) but now I’m feeling like maybe I’m not normal? 🥴
Mint/menthol does have a cooling effect on skin (basically the opposite effect that hot peppers have - both of these things mess with our nerves and make them perceive temperature differently) BUT in sensitive skin it can also be an irritant. You're not not-normal, just lucky! I'm so sensitive to it that even mint-flavoured floss will make my lips burn lol.
Jen wanting the bottom half of the sheet match. I screamed.
ooo i have also put the peppermint dr bronners in that area. thats a big no. you find out real fast that you was a mistake.
The sheet mask halves= phantom of the opera moment
Re the moisturizing cream with spf, 15 is much too low unless you are staying indoors all day.
My face would have been so angry trying so many products at once, especially not knowing which ones would trigger my skin sensitivity. My face doesn’t even like the products that work for me the day before. I’ve had to change makeup products at least 3 times because my face will randomly reject things by starting to burn.
I use that jojoba oil daily... on my nails. It's supreme on nails, extremely good cuticle oil, one bottle lasts forever. $2 elf concealer brush or get some watercolor fillable water brushes and fill with the oil to make a "pen".
Not saying this to yell at Kristin because I'm not, but just to share food for thought: another reason not to use face wipes is that we tend to wipe/pull/scrub harder with them when removing makeup, etc. than we would with our hands using a cleanser (and then following up with a second cleanse). I know this doesn't apply to everyone in how they use them or how effective a double cleanse is for them, just that it's not solely an environmental issue but it could be a skin issue.
My mom just got me a face routine consisting of 3 trader joes products (tea tree pads, rose toner, some moisturizer) so thisll be fun. I will say the tea tree pads smell STRONG so im glad i follow them up with rose toner but theyre a good option if i dont have energy to Watch my face
Okay in the tea tree pads defense i have pretty sensitive skin and they work well for me so. I give them a pretty good
The coq10 editing bits were hilarious!!
Jen's my spirit animal
Also her and Kristen had me question if I had ADHD and guess what... I do and im so glad to have answers. Love you guys
You need “Sorry Kelly” made into quote mugs
I love the ten roosters graphics and how ya'll stopped after the tea tree oil
