It’s sad not to see Honeybear anymore, but these two are wonderful additions! Adopting animals is so important. There are so many shelters, rescues, breed-specific rescues, just lots of options to rescue a new family member and find a good fit!
As someone heavily involved in animal rescue, I FULLY support the message of foster before you adopt. I volunteer at a rescue that mostly handles Rabbits, and people don't realise how much work they are or what a niche pet they can be. I always recommend fostering over going straight into adopting so you get the full experience of having an animal with the support of an organisation behind you. We give you all the supplies you need, advice and pay for the vet care while they are in foster, as well as answer any questions you might have while the animal is in your care. If it turns out the animal your fostering isn't a good fit, you don't have to adopt. If you fall in love and can't live without this cute creature, you're then the first in line to adopt them as a forever pet. You're also helping out a rescue by fostering. I foster and it's a really rewarding experience even if you don't end up adopting the animal.
rabbit fostering and adopting is very overlooked and an absolute joy if you have the right set up! Quite literally everyone I've talked to about rabbits think they're dull pets and have short life spans- they have no idea what they're missing!
The rescue I got my dog from requires a trial period of at least two weeks in your home with all the necessary supplies provided (the time can be extended to a month if you choose) before making the adoption official and that's why I got her; The person in line ahead of me decided during their trial period that they actually weren't ready to adopt a dog so she went back to the rescue and they contacted me asking if I was still interested in doing a trial period. That was one year ago and she is currently curled up next to me, my official "dogter". ^_^ I think all rescues should require trial/foster periods tbh! We didn't connect when we first met but over those two weeks we quickly bonded and I realized she was the perfect doggie for me.
I followed the journey from Honeybear being a foster to foster fail to adopted to living literally the fanciest best year of her life with her two mommies and tbh I am SO happy Betty came to stay. And DUSTIN. GOD. What a little GENT. What a little LAD.
That video of Betty and Sir Patrick is SO PRECIOUS! He loves pit bulls SO much and is a tireless advocate. Thank you for sharing this video on how you rescued both of these amazing dogs.
Around the time Honeybear was diagnosed, my cat was also diagnosed with cancer, and he died from veterinary malpractice related to his care plan around the same time as Honeybear's passing. I feel the pain of doing EVERYTHING for your pet and it not being enough. I'm glad you were able to find the lovely Betty and give her a forever home; I got to do that for my Gidget, too, soon after my previous cat's passing. It feels good to keep passing on the love our animals give us by welcoming in a new critter when the time is right! ALSO: Dustin is the best scrungly boi.
I'm so, so sorry to hear about your cat's passing. A year and a half ago, our cat died unexpectedly after a surgery to remove ear polyps, and it still feels like a giant hand is reaching into my chest and squeezing when I think about it. Losing a pet is always hard, but I never realized the additional pain that comes with a loss that happens in/after surgery. I'm so glad that Gidget has a new forever home with you 💜
Couple things you should note in this video 1. Do NOT think just because your dog is an emotional support dog that it is a service animal, it is NOT!! It does not have the same rights as a service animal. Do not try to take it to restaurants, airplanes, sporting venues, and anywhere else it is not allowed and try to sneak it in as a service animal. this actually hurts people who actually have, use, and need service animals. 2. Rita is an amazing human!!
Yes! We mention emotional support animals and NOT service dogs for a very specific reason! Not the same thing! Legally and procedurally opposites! Night and day different! Tens of thousands of dollars in training different! We kinda trust our audience to listen to us when we use the specific words we do, but it's a good reminder.
Also..."emotional support animal" isn't just a label for a pet you want to live with. It's a real thing that requires a mental health evaluation and typically a diagnosed condition that would benefit from the presence/emotional support of an animal. (written as both a mental health professional who writes ESA letters and as someone who has an ESA myself)
@@kitchenandjorn Yep :) I wasn't trying to imply you said anything incorrect. I just wanted to explain the process a bit more since myself and other therapists tend to run into situations where people thought a quick chat would guarantee them a letter for their pet. I've had people get really upset because they are under the impression ESA letters are just an on-demand thing that doesn't require an actual eval or that it's just a way to get out of paying pet rent and it's so much more than that. (Fun fact: people have tried to apply ESA letters to wild animals (such as bobcats) and that also doesn't fly lol)
@@littleredbenderyeah like TBH I actually have very strong opinions on gatekeeping any solutions (big or small, and this one is obviously small) that help dismantle racist and classist housing regulations like breed restrictions (which were created to target people of color and lower income people - ie people who can't afford expensive dogs) but I didn't get into that in this video and that's on me. But yeah: if you follow the procedure and your doctor agrees, I do think EVERYONE who qualifies and has a well-behaved animal should benefit from this and as many people should take advantage of this as possible. Like the idea that "some people might abuse the system" is a dog whistle (no pun intended) that is used to justify restrictions of aid and welfare across the board so when I hear it just kinda seems like a cop mentality to me (especially because most of the people I hear that phrasing from are... white) And that is today's opinion dump from Kristin which you didn't ask for but you are being reasonable and not a weirdo so here it is 😂
Betty looks just like my first dog, Lady! She was also rescued from a LA county shelter (in the 80s)! She was the best dog ever! rescued from a fighting ring, she had a crooked nose because previous owner beat her. Thank you for loving these dogs! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
thank you for advocating for adopting, fostering, and pit bulls! As a shelter worker, it's so refreshing to see influencers who aren't buying frenchies.
I'm so sorry to hear about Honey Bear. It's always hard when a pet suddenly develops a health issue and I can't imagine how hard it was for you to have to make the decision to let her go. Dustin and Betty seem very sweet, though, and I'm glad they get along so well! They seem like they make you really happy and I'm happy to see that
FYI - You don't just have to foster from a rescue organization, you can foster through a city or county shelter, too! My family fosters dogs from Oakland Animal Services in Oakland, CA. (Hi, Betty and Dustin!)
Awww as someone who works at an animal shelter with the dogs, thank you guys so much for rescuing these sweet babies & advocating for shelters 🥹🥰🥰 it’s tough work but so rewarding when they get their furever homes!! 💛💛💛
My partner and I rescued our dog after 6 months of visiting the shelter weekly. He was definitely a rehab case. They were like are you sure you want this one? Yes I do. It took 2 years to get him to love and trust people and now he’s the best dog ever and we’re so happy that we went through all of that to have him. RIP Honeybear!
thank you for bringing awareness to pitbulls. i have 3 dogs, one of which is my pitbull-lab. his name is nix and he is my emotional support animal. he's the sweetest and most emotionally intellegent dogs i have ever met. when i raise my voice, cry, or sound upset, he will jump on my lap and cuddle me. he doesn't leave my side when he knows i'm upset. pitbulls are amazing dogs. their breed is part of the nanny dog category of dogs, and i wish more people knew how truly amazing they are. he isn't a vocal dog at all and will never do anything to harm anyone, unless they are harming our family. i'm getting him registered as an actual support dog. so again, thank you so much. i plan on rescuing a cat soon, and i couldn't be prouder to say that almost every animal i've had is a rescue.
Foster foster foster. Because even if a foster isn't a good fit for your family the information gained from that animal living in your home can help them find their forever home. The way an animal acts in a shelter environment is usually very different from how they're going to act at home. So getting that opportunity to live in a home environment with someone who was taking good care of them and showing them love can really bring out their personality and then if you decide that animal isn't a good fit for you, you can still give that information to the shelter so that they can better match that animal to another family. I typically specialize in neonates and critical care kittens and puppies which seems overwhelming to a lot of people but fosters are needed at every skill level and care level and animal type you can think of. Thank you so much Kristen and Jen for shouting out fostering!
As a disabled 54 yr old we decided we aren't adopting anymore animals but when we move we will be fostering senior critters that are needing their Ohana until they meet the rainbow Bridge, I can't justify the commitment of getting a critter, in case something happens to me,and it end up in the system, we want to be part of the solution in the last half of our life. Thank you for your kindness. Rest in paradise. And please don't over abuse using emotional support animals, for those of us that use service animals, when people started using the emotional support loophole it made my life and those of a lot of truly disabled people life very difficult
I think it must be really hard to be a public figure with an animal. People get understandably emotional about animals and their care. I imagine it was hard enough to introduce honey bear and then have to find out she was ill, but how to handle that in a public lens must have been overwhelming. I totally get why you would wait to share Betsy's arrival to your home and I am glad that she and Dustin get along so well.
This made me love you both even more! RIP Honey Bear. I lost my beloved dog of 13 years five years ago and still haven't gotten a new one. I think it's great you started fostering quickly. I might have waited too long...
My first dog (I didn't have her that long, I adopted her as a senior, so I had her from like 2018 to 2021) was also almost immediately diagnosed with cancer. I remember she had a little lump and everybody thought she had a big belly when it was in fact a tumor - cancer is unimaginably horrible. But I loved that old lady a lot, and I'm sure you loved and cherished Honeybear just as much. I'm sure she knew you meant well and that you loved her loads ❤❤
awwww rip honeybear. she was so cute, i'm sorry she as well as kitchen and bree had to go through that. cancer sucks, stomach cancer is one of those that's especially brutal. but congrats on the new family members! also awesome fostering psa. EDIT: WAIT A SEC, YOU ADOPTED *THAT* BETTY?! i swear i've seen sir pstew with a pitbull called betty 👀
@@kitchenandjorn okay, fair point 😅 but sir pstew is a kind of, personal hero of mine, so to me, you've adopted royalty. very adorable royalty, that can do an awesome trick also dustin is very cute as well. and it's awesome they get along so well (edited bc typo)
RIP Honeybear, she seemed like such a sweetie and you guys gave her a great life. I lost my kitty last December and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, I wish you all the peace and healing in the world. The new puppies are so cute, I’m so happy for you and I hope they bring you all the happiness ❤️
Lots of shelters now have foster programs as well - fostering through either rescues or shelters is a wonderful way to make a difference. 🎉🎉🎉 thank you for adopting and talking about how awesome fostering is!
kristen, as someone who was in your twitch chat those late nights that you were playing animal crossing and talking about getting a dog, we had lots of dialogue back then about fostering since i worked at a shelter and i am so happy how far you've come and now you can be such an advocate as well!
I also had to let my dog go just this past July, also from cancer. It sucks when you feel like you're doing everything you can to help them, but cancer still wins. It helps a little to remember that I gave my girl the best life, like you guys did with Honeybear. Even though it must've been hard to talk about, thank you for making this video. And thank you both for introducing us to Betty and Justin! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
I lost Fudge last year, but he was my first dog that was mine. I didn't think we were going to get a dog yet but I told my husband about petfinder, and he wanted to apply for puppies. I saw this 2-3 yo dog with broken teeth and heartworm, but my heart melted. We didn't get those puppies, but Fudge changed the minds of all of my and my husband's families about bully breeds. He was a goofy sweetheart, but he quickly developed a brain tumor that had him from being totally normal to quickly losing the use of him limbs and bowels in less than 2 weeks. Man I an crying writing this, it's been over a year. We have 2 other pit bull girls that are incredibly patient given the torment of my 6yo foster kid. I always loved the beefy dogs and probably always will.
When you guys posted this video, my cat had just been diagnosed with cancer a few days earlier. I only got about 3 minutes in before I started bawling and had to see myself out. My kitty passed away two months ago now, and I feel okay enough to be back watching this video in the present. It feels like Phoebe in Friends when they try to get her to watch all those movies but she can’t get past the sad parts to get to see the happy ending. I’m glad I came back to this video because it really was very heartwarming and uplifting. Happy to see the fostering and adopting promotion- #adoptdontshop always💜 And SO happy to see you all so happy with your fur babies! I love that they get along so well too! Wishing you many many happy years together!!🐶🐶
I adopted my pup 3 weeks before Rona shut everything down. I didn’t know it but he was already house trained, loves a lap & a nap & his energy matched mine perfectly. We both struggle with anxiety but he truly shows up for me when I’m at my worst. It’s been costly at times, sometimes stressful too, but overall no regrets & I’m low key looking for another dog so he can have a companion lol 🥰
I’m so passionate about adoption when it comes to people finding the new family members that it gets me emotional when people actually go out and adopt. Kristin and Jen thank you for adopting these sweet babies.
As someone who had to put our dog to sleep recently because of cancer(melanoma too) I completely understand how it can feel to have them acting their normal happy selves and then just take a turn for the worst. But Honeybear was loved and spoiled I’m sure and she passed full of that love and I’m so glad you can keep loving after going through something like that! Love you two so much as well as the rest of your team!❤❤❤
What cute doggies, Betty and Dustin! Thank you for sharing their stories. How sad to hear about Honeybear. However, she left you and many of us with loads of love and cuteness. You guys are great humans and doggie parents. Take care!
OMG, Betty and Dustin are the *cutest!* I'm so sorry to hear about Honeybear - losing a pet is always heartbreaking, and I completely understand why you didn't share the news here earlier. I'm really glad that you both found ways to welcome in new pets that worked for you, and I want to give both of your puppies all of the belly rubs and ear skritches in the world. Also, Jen, I completely feel you on being smitten with an animal at the shelter regardless of the health stuff. Our previous cat Sasha was an 8 year old tomcat with ear mites, an infected eye scratch, injuries from being attacked by a dog where they weren't sure how well they'd heal, and he'd only recently been neutered (which meant that he might have issues peeing indoors). None of it mattered to me, because I fell in love with him instantly, and I told my partner we needed to sign the adoption papers that day, so that no one else would adopt him over the weekend. The shelter folks humored us and gave us a 2-for-1 adoption special, since we were also adopting a cat who'd been there for over a year. (She didn't really like people; my partner loved the fact that she was independent.) We're not the most rational humans, but we enjoyed 12 fantastic years with those beautiful kitties.
Congrats to you guys for saving 2 lives. Kristen i am so sorry for honey bear. Having a sick animal is so hard and that decison is heartbreaking. I am so happy that you guys are able to give joy and love to another deserving animal. I love pitties so much, at some point in my adult life i want to rescue one. I also want to say for cat people, rescue cats are amazing. My family got one after our previous cat passed due to diabetic complications.
I am so here for this content and fully support any future dog/rescue focused videos in the future 🙏💞 Also, I'm so sorry about Honeybear. She seemed like such a big soft sweetie. I hope there is comfort in knowing that you provided her with a loving home and that she had humans that cared deeply about her. I'm sure it made a world of difference to her quality of life even if it didn't feel long enough.
I rescued my dog from going to a shelter. He had terrible anxiety and behavioral issues. I fostered him last year then adopted him a couple months after. He’s an Australian Shepherd Border Collie mix. Yep VERY smart breed’s definitely predisposed to behavioral issues due to lack of training. He used to hate other dogs and strangers. After working with him for months he finally can play with other dogs. His best friend is my parents rescue dog. I love him so much and I’m so happy to work with such a smart, dedicated, sweet dog. I will always advocate for rescuing over buying from breeders
THANK YOU, Thank you, thank you for not only doing this video - but most importantly adopting Betty❣️ I am on my 2nd and 3rd pitbull adoptions❣️❣️❣️ And cannot imagine life with them❣️ Kari🌞
LOVE THIS! Thank you so much for using your platform to talk about animal rescue and adoption. Shelters have been struggling post pandemic and dog adoptions are down across the country. Congrats on your new pups!
Thank you SO much using your platform to advocate for adopting and fostering rescue animals! Shelter pets are so loving and resilient, even when the worst harm imaginable has happened to them. I have two rescue kitties and would never get a pet any other way. Also, Betty and Dustin are such good doggos. Pitties have the sweetest little faces, and it’s unfortunate that they still get such a negative stigma.
I had adopted both of my dogs from local rescues finding them online at Petfinder. One of them was a Pittie mix and she was the sweetest, cuddle bug we ever had and she was extremely smart. I hope you both get to enjoy your fur babies for a very long time. In stressful times my girls were great to have around. All they want is for you to love them and they love you back.

Never thought I'd find myself crying at a Kitchen&Jorn episode. I understand your pain with Honey Bear. My Mr. Moose had cancer. We went to Cornell several times after our own vets and even they could do nothing. The cancer spread too far too fast. He was almost 14. The money never mattered. Traumatic doesn't begin to describe the experience and loss. It's been 3 years and we still cry.
They're both adorable! Also, thanks for sharing the different ways you got them. A lot of people don't know that fostering is a great way to see if a certain dog is the right fit for you/your family's situation & personalities, & if it isn't a good fit you've at least helped make a temporary space for another animal to be helped at the rescue & then you can switch to fostering a different one. Also since Jen already had a history with terriers growing up, she knew that breed was a good choice for her, so even though it was a more impulsive adoption she wasn't going in totally blind. ❤
;; so sweet! i'm not a dog person but my cats are such a huge part of my life. my little guy has a lot of health problems & he's an expensive boy but he's worth every penny. i'm happy to have him with me as long as i can.
Love your fur family! Thanks for rescuing :) also RIP honey bear, you were so loved! I’m sure honey bear sent Betty right to you guys! That’s my theory with my animals that have passed on. That they help guide us to the next animal to love. ❤
Rescued my boy 3 and half years ago. Occasionally I look at the picture the shelter used of his goofy smiling face and just get super emotional. Rescuing a dog is probably what I consider the "best" thing I've ever done.
I am 100% obsessed with our new friends, and I hope we get to see them a lot! My mom and dad adopted two dogs from a local man and they weren’t sure of the breeds. One of them has turned out to be a pit mix and he is the sweetest, chonkiest baby and he has really opened our eyes to how precious bully breeds are. So glad Dustin and Betty are happy and healthy and in good homes now! 🩷
It's always hard to lose a beloved friend, even if you're prepared and know it's the best choice. Having been there a few times, I can testify that finding a new friend helps, not to mention giving them a home. Only three of my buddies were officially from a shelter but every one has been a rescue or born from a rescue mom. My current youngest was from a feral mom and born under my friends garden shed.
Betty looks so much like my pit bull, Destiny, who passed away a few years ago. I literally started crying when I saw her, thank you thank you for giving her a home
Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about Honeybear! I'm glad that she was well-loved and adored to the end. ❤ And Betty and Dustin seem like lucky little angels!
Happy additional information for you! It's the entire country! Landlords have to allow ESA and service animals regardless of their rules due to the Americans with Disabilities Act!
We adopted a little guy from a hoarding case. He had had mange and skin infections and just a crappy situation up until then. He and many of his sibling/cousin/parent? dogs were bald. I went and met him and he was a little stand-offish, my partner said that just means he needs us more than the outgoing dogs, so we got him. He promptly pooped in my car. Thanks little boy! We couldn't wait to see what he looked like when his fur grew back. Well, it never did, he has alopecia and is bald to this day but he is the sweetest, cutest, most neurotic dog you ever met and we are in love with him. If you are on the fence about getting a dog, just do it, your life will be richer for it.
I'll never forget the day we adopted one of our dogs. Back in 2021, my family had been looking into getting another dog for a few months, and there were a lot of arguments around the household. My siblings wanted to get a purebred golden retriever, and I was steadfast that we should adopt a rescue. They would say "it's a 75% chance the dog will be crazy from a shelter and a 25% chance it'll be crazy from a breeder" which made no sense to me, especially since we all grew up having adopted dogs in the first place and they've all been wonderful. Eventually, my mother agreed that it would be a better idea to adopt from the shelter, and we started looking. We checked websites daily, visited a few shelters, and my siblings were still wanting a dog that looked good or had no pittie in them. Meanwhile, my mom and I went into it with only a few goals: A) find a dog that does well with other dogs and cats, B) A dog that isn't a puppy, and C) A dog we connect with. And after a couple weeks of searching, we decided to check out a shelter while in town. The dog we were originally going to see had already been adopted, so we went out to check the other dogs and we saw this 9 month old hound/pittie mix named "Woozle" wiggling her butt at us through the kennel gate. We took her for a walk in the shelter yard and decided "yeah, this is the one" and "Woozle" became our lovely Darcy. My siblings still, sadly, favor our pure-bred dog, but my mom and I adore her (and spoil her rotten).
I recently rescued a dog as well. I live in the desert in a rural area, and found a puppy running around in my (very large) yard. So instead of putting her in a shelter, I kept her. Took her to the vet recently to start her vaccines and I got her chipped as well. Raising a puppy is kinda ruff, but we're getting there.
Animals truly have a way of brightening our lives! I'm the cat lady, and can't imagine life without their moody attitudes! P.s. It's so awesome that Betty and Dustin are pals and willing to play with each other! Little cuties.
as the “father” of an older, disabled, diabetic cat…i feel 100% on the same page as Jen about adopting an animal with medical issues. her name is Nelli, and she’s an absolute treat. she was considered a “VIP” at the shelter bc she had been there for so long, and bc of her physical disabilities. she makes my and my wife’s life so full of love and laughter. yes, she does require more care and with that comes more bills. but she’s so worth it!!! i wouldn’t trade her for anything. and don’t get me wrong, her little lifestyle isn’t for everyone. but if one could keep an open mind (or be open to fostering an animal with more specialized needs) it’ll change both of y’all’s life for the better.
Fun fact, the breed “pit bull” is not a real breed. It’s an umbrella term used for at least 3 different breeds, and the mixes of those breads. And despite people thinking they’re aggressive dogs, all the dogs under the umbrella are bread to be family dogs and farm dogs.
A lot of rescues and shelters will help with vet bills when adopting a pet with health issues! My cat Percy has eye agenesis and the shelter paid for his first eye surgery. My parents recently adopted a hound mix and at her spay appointment discovered she has heartworm. The resuce is covering the treatment and helped navigate what the care is needed. Many rescues and shelters have partnerships with vets for medical treatments. Pets with long term health issues can still be the perfect additon to your family. My Percy is blind and I did have to pay for an additional surgery, but I can't imagine my life without him. Only downside is now I want to adopt every vision impaired cat.
I have always been a cat person, but my dad used to have dogs. When he had his first puppy, the little one was absolutely in love with me which was sweet
I am so sorry to hear about Honey Bear... I am so happy that in her last moments she was surrounded by love, comfort, and support in their last moments. And thank you for sharing that love with dogs that need that love♡
I wondered when we didn't see Honeybear if something had happened to her. I'm so sorry y'all had to go through such a painful loss, and on top of it dealing with whether and how to explain it to your fans sounds really hard. Mazel tov on bringing Betty and Dustin into your lives! What sweethearts! So much energy! I hope they're the greatest best friends to y'all and each other for many years to come.
Fostering is such an important part of animal care from the ground up and I'm so glad to hear such staunch support for it! Also, pitties forever - my pup is a pitmix (staffy + also 25% american bulldog!) and she's the sweetest, gentlest, most loving baby in the world, as are literally every other pitt I've met. Such an undeserved bad rap and so many people miss out!
Congratulations on your new babies!!! I am so happy for all of you! Also, just an fyi for those who are interested in adopting, most public shelters have foster or foster to adopt programs as well. So you can bring a dog home and make sure that it is a good fit, or give a dog a home for a short period of time for it to recover from any health issues in a calmer environment, and then give it back to the shelter or adopt it once it has recovered. Usually in these cases the shelter will cover the costs of all of the vetting as well, so it’s a win-win for you and the dog.
I know the fight to keep sick animals alive, I foster kittens for a shelter and any kitten that is a foster has had a bad start. And this year after many successful nests was the first time we had to put one to sleep, it involved a lot of crying at the vet. But im so glad you could enjoyed your time with honeybear and gave her a dignefied and painless death. Enjoy your lovely dogs betty and dustin!
It must have been so painful losing Honey bear. I hope you have lots of good memories. Betty staying down and just waging her tail without looking at you is a show of trust. She feels save so she has no need to get a visual check of the situation 😊
I can not reccomend Foster to Adopt more. It really is SUCH a good way to find a dog that really fits you. First dog and don't know what kind of energy you want? Foster to Adopt. Want a second dog and want to make sure they get a long and you can handle it? Foster to Adopt. Just want to have a dog sometimes, but want to be able to take long trips without worry? Foster!

I love that Jen and Kristen adopted dog versions of each other.
I am sorry for your loss. May your cat rest in peace 🙏.
I'm so glad that Gidget has a new forever home with you 💜
Couple things you should note in this video
@@littleredbender yup, hence talking to your psychiatrist, as I mentioned in the video
Like the idea that "some people might abuse the system" is a dog whistle (no pun intended) that is used to justify restrictions of aid and welfare across the board so when I hear it just kinda seems like a cop mentality to me (especially because most of the people I hear that phrasing from are... white) And that is today's opinion dump from Kristin which you didn't ask for but you are being reasonable and not a weirdo so here it is 😂
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW DOGS Betty and Dustin they both are so cute and amazing so special! Xoxo 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
WE WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU HONEYBEAR. Your legacy will live on in our hearts and youtube forever ❤❤❤❤
Awwwww
That picture of Betty with her mouth puckered in is so frickin'❤ cute. And Dustin is adorbs!
Thank you for letting us stare at your dogs and listen to you peacefully chat for 15 mins. This is its own form of therapy ❤
RIP Honeybear 💫
Kitchen!! That dress is divine on you. Love the mod pattern
Why do I keep envisioning Betty and Dustin in a convertible road-tripping? 😜They’re so cute! Congratulations on your fur babies!
your new dogs being best friends is so adorable! congrats on the new pets!
Honestly it is, appreciate it
This made me love you both even more!
Betty IS a very common pitbull name but they have played together!!!!
@@kitchenandjorn okay, fair point 😅 but sir pstew is a kind of, personal hero of mine, so to me, you've adopted royalty. very adorable royalty, that can do an awesome trick
also dustin is very cute as well. and it's awesome they get along so well
(edited bc typo)
RIP Honeybear, she seemed like such a sweetie and you guys gave her a great life. I lost my kitty last December and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, I wish you all the peace and healing in the world.
The new puppies are so cute, I’m so happy for you and I hope they bring you all the happiness ❤️
This is just what the doctor ordered. A video all about puppies!!!!! Thank you.
Might be my favorite episode. Those pups and rescue kitties need homes and love. Y’all did great things. ❤
From someone who adopted a dog with many pre existing medical issues and had to pay for many drugs - thank you Jen ❤
Rest in peace, sweet Honeybear ❤
Thank you for fostering and for adopting!!
Jen's story about not getting to adopt the one she originally wanted and then adopting one that she never thought she'd get really resonated with me
As someone who had to put our dog to sleep recently because of cancer(melanoma too) I completely understand how it can feel to have them acting their normal happy selves and then just take a turn for the worst. But Honeybear was loved and spoiled I’m sure and she passed full of that love and I’m so glad you can keep loving after going through something like that! Love you two so much as well as the rest of your team!❤❤❤
lol as you were like HE'S SO CUTE he stopped to look around like YOU GUYS TALKIN' ABOUT MEEE?!
Watching this in the future, days after my elderly dog died, and it was such a soothing balm for my soul.
Kristin that DRESS!!! Amazing! You look incredible!
I’m so glad that Honeybear was able to have so much love in the little time she was with you ❤
I am so here for this content and fully support any future dog/rescue focused videos in the future 🙏💞
Also, I'm so sorry about Honeybear.
THANK YOU, Thank you, thank you for not only doing this video - but most importantly adopting Betty❣️
I am on my 2nd and 3rd pitbull adoptions❣️❣️❣️
And cannot imagine life with them❣️
Kari🌞
We also have a brindle who likes to lay on her side ( 14:48 ) and we call her a marble loaf. All the best to Betty and Dustin!
I’ve fostered *many* kittens and I’m so into these stories. Thank you for giving back to the earth and multiplying the love!

Betty has really helped me as an agoraphobic ❤
@@kitchenandjorn Aww I am so glad 😃
👏🏻 for fostering and adopting dogs. Thank you for sharing this message and your adorable dogs!
brie being the father that says no to a pet but absolutely adores them in the end is so cute
Good on both of y’all for rescuing them!! I’m 10000% team adopt don’t shop. What lovely additions to the family! Also, Rest In Peace, sweet Honeybear.
Rest well, Honey Bear.
I'm in love with these two pups! I love a Pittie omg.
I just moved back to college and am missing my dog, so it’s nice to see your dogs having a good time!
This was cute and heartwarming glad you guys adopted two wonderful dogs and gave them wonderful homes! 😊
Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about Honeybear! I'm glad that she was well-loved and adored to the end. ❤ And Betty and Dustin seem like lucky little angels!
Dustin and Betty are so cute! I love their interactions with each other. Also, I am OBSESSED with that rug.
Hello, Betty and Dustin! They’re both so sweet in this video. ❤ I’m glad they have such happy homes.
Happy additional information for you! It's the entire country! Landlords have to allow ESA and service animals regardless of their rules due to the Americans with Disabilities Act!
Such cute happy babies!!! Thank you for sharing them with us! 💜
I foster & it’s the best. It is so needed at any animal shelter. Thank you for bringing awareness ❤
Just LOVE this~❤❤❤... thank you for sharing, you both just helped save MORE DOGS!😊
Oh I'm devastated about honeybear you were such a good end home for her thank you❤
Oh and congrats on your new babies❤
Fostering is such an important part of animal care from the ground up and I'm so glad to hear such staunch support for it! Also, pitties forever - my pup is a pitmix (staffy + also 25% american bulldog!) and she's the sweetest, gentlest, most loving baby in the world, as are literally every other pitt I've met. Such an undeserved bad rap and so many people miss out!
Wonderful!! Congratulations!! Always adopt & let the animal pick you!!
That's not always the right choice. Purchasing from a shelter is great. But purchasing from a breeder isn't wrong.
From now on I want to see Kichen EXCLUSIVELY in this dress! It's perfect! I love it!
I'm so sorry to hear about Honeybear, but so amazing of Kristin to adopt a dog in need! Thank you guys for advocating for shelter and rescue dogs ^^;
Foster!
