@G Didn't they do some of those months ago? I might be mistaken but I think I saw some where they each posted their POV of the same fight, maybe against WWII AI adversaries? "I just want the Raptor to SEND IT on the felon and the foxhound." Man, I'd enjoy seeing that, too! (Especially with the crimes Ruzzia is committing in Ukraine.) I think that Felon mod's stealth is OP though. There's no way it's as stealthy as the Raptor, or even Fat Amy, I mean, the Lightning. :^D The Felon is a beautiful plane, and has some advantages over the Raptor, like carrying more missiles. But it's not as stealthy.
This was insane! It started like a horror movie, bang without warning you are dead. There is so much to like in this video like ultra low flying in the mountains, close up exterior view and the clash of the 2 missiles in front of your nose... I have to rewatch it right now! Thank you very much!

I love the Foxhound. They look so crude and elegant at the same time. Basically two huge engines with a cockpit on the front a a couple of big missiles on them. 13:04: one of the craziest things I've ever seen. What a beautiful shot!
Foxhound also has huge ass radar that is more powerful than some ground radars. You are not allowed to turn it on on the ground cause it can literally fry birds nearby
Wow crazy! Ever since GS did this set up and lost every time, I felt like the world was not right. Seems like to kill these Mig-31s you need mountains, panicking Mig pilots, and crazy missile to missile kills! 😀
Ik both him and GS not being able to beat it without terrain hurts American pride, f22 surely would blow it out of the water as he downed 7 f16s with it, but I want to visually see it
Absolute killer fight! Fantastic to see you using the mountains to hide and evade, then force a manoeuvre kill. I would love to see you and GS fighting each other and together in mountainous terrain. Just adds a layer of excitement when you don't have 10,000 ft+ of all that safe sky below to forgive any errors... 😎😎
The game VASTLY overestimated the effectiveness of the R-33 which is a copy of the AIM-54 which means it is probably slightly less capable. Good for shooting down large targets like B-52's but crap against Fighter sized targets.
Colossal inercia of R-33 or AIM-54 make them uneffective against light planes like F-16 or F-15, if this planes cannot manuver then this missles works. Just common PC game.....with good RUclips promotion.
I wonder if both the MiG-31 and F-15 had jamming how would the fight turn I imagine it turns in the eagles favor since it can finally get closer to the hound and since it has an AESA radar it’ll likely achieve burn through quicker, not to mention the foxhounds can’t turn for crap so an AMRAAM, they will eat that right up.
That was a tough mission and after the first two failures I wasn't sure if you were trying to disprove the insanity definition mis-attributed to Einstein. Thankfully you got there in the end with some nice flying.

Edit II : Now you know why Gen IV drivers spend so much time in the Speed Notch in Scotland and other mountainous terrain around the world, they need to get really good at hiding from Foxhounds up high on their perches, until someone is brave enough like you to take them on. Pray for mountains or Raptors, when MiG-31s are on the way!
That Mig-31 really got disrespectful by getting close to F-15. Weird mistake. He controls the distance and should have stayed 50miles away, safe and absolutely no reason to get any closer. If he is out of R-37's, which are his primary weapon, should just go back home under the cover of SAM's.
how did the splash damage not affect you? GS had a missile hit the ground further away from him than what the explosion looked like in your video and it took him out
How can you match it up,it 2 different planes, mig 31 is interceptor ,his mission is catch the other plane in high speed, mig 31 new version can fly up 3 mach of speed ,it is not design for dog fight, you can match su27-30-35 with f-15, or mig 29 with f-16
@@rbnhd1976 well as a matter of fact F 15 is the fastest jet with mach 2.5 so an BVR missile is not thrice the speed since BVR missiles are usually mach 4 missiles
You did pretty well against those hypersonic missiles, it took GS quite a while longer in the F-16 to finally splash the 31. You had much better mountains to defend in than he did. Well done!

@@The_Original_Brad_Miller F15C has more than double the combat radius, a higher service ceiling, greater speed, bigger radar (F-16s require a compact unit), and it is an Air Superiority platform. The F-16 is multirole, primarily used for air-to-ground. Outside of DCS, in the hierarchy of BVR for 4th gen birds in the Air Force, it is F15 > F16. Neither are my favorite, I am merely going off of what pilots have told me. (air-force-kid lol)
Great videos, as always. Amazing cinematic views. Not sure if it’s available to fly, but would love to see you attempt to dogfight in a MIG-31. Knowing how much of a boat they are, it should be a significant challenge. Keep up the awesome content and grow those subscriber numbers!
My favorite plane to give to AI to fight against. One needs to do everything possible to survive against these beasts, it's just a perfect practice of BVR in DCS.

Your cinematography is so good. I really enjoyed this video, but I think you owe the 31 a rematch! shrapnel I'm sure wouldn't be pleasant to engine intakes! those missiles were designed to hit large, not maneuverable targets, awacs, Sr71, b1 etc. I question how effective they would be against a maneuvering fighter. The amount a G they would need to pull at the speeds they fly would be extremely high. A F-15 near Mach one in a High G turn is a completely different ball game then a large not maneuverable target.
AMAZING flight LS!!! I love how it feels we're in the cockpit with you in these video! Once I had a similar one flying the Su-27 on Lock On. After many failed atttempts, I just flew low through the mountains until I was almost below the MiG-31 and then I climbed hard and shot it down.
This makes me wonder how many F-15's would be needed against 2 MiG-31's with an escort of say 4 Mig -29's or other reasonably proficient dogfighters as escort.
You not using the correct aircraft for that fight. I mean, the Eurofighter is way more better option to face the MiG-31 Foxhounds, and you got that mighty Meteor crazy OP missile, which have enough range to take out thoose MiGs or just keep them busy defending. Also, Eurofighter have better radar and the radar cross section is smaller which also give a little bit edge over the F-15E. If you want to BVR fight anything basically which is not a stealth fighter jet, Eurofighter. At least in DCS but not in real life. The DCS and the real life is 2 different things for sure.
If that MiG-31 Fox-2 killed your Fox-3 THIS close to your F-15, by rights you'd be dead. That's 60kg of high-explosives going bang in that R-37M. REALLY lucky there :D
Let's see if we can get a rematch take the mig 31 and see if you can take on 2 human players BVR. Maybe 2 on 2, think GS might be ready to take the mig31 out. Curious because 2 human players could just vector from different angles and keep shooting an r37 anytime an enemy try to get out of the defense. You can even time them to every 15 seconds. Because the AI is volley shooting.
Have F15 ever gone up against Russian jets for real? I know not a single F15 has been shot in combat but im not sure what jets they have shot down? I read somewhere over 100 enemy jets have been shot down without a single loss but surely that can’t be true. Even the weakest pilot would get lucky at some point.
If you cause your opponent to crash in a dogfight or tear their wings off you still get credited with the kill. Maneuver Kills are still legitimate kills. You outplayed your enemy so well that you didnt even need to fire at them. You outmaneuvered your enemy well enough to get them to lose situational awareness and crash. You killed them. Those missiles are hard to fight but after some trial you got them close and into a dogfight and got 2 solid kills on some very expensive Russian hardware. If that second guy hadnt failed to bail out he mightve been put into a gulag for not even making an effort to not crash the plane. lol His wingman isnt so lucky, he bailed pretty quick after the missile hit him.
unrealistic how good that missile is. if russia truly had a missile that good, they'd have used them in Ukraine and gained total air supremacy in a matter of days or weeks.
A lot of times, militaries will not use their best equipment because they don't want to give away their true capabilities when there is something perfectly adequate for the job of a lower level.
@@joeo2533 Ukraine still as an air force flying combat sorties with Mig 29s, Su-25, and various helicopters. They are daily striking Russian forces. Why haven't they been shot down yet? Russia should be able to hit them with this missile from Mig-31s flying in russian airspace.

A hypersonic missile can only move so much at those speeds. Seems the movement in DCS is a bit OP.

Have F15 ever gone up against Russian jets for real? I know not a single F15 has been shot in combat but im not sure what jets they have shot down?
I read somewhere over 100 enemy jets have been shot down without a single loss but surely that can’t be true. Even the weakest pilot would get lucky at some point.

If you cause your opponent to crash in a dogfight or tear their wings off you still get credited with the kill. Maneuver Kills are still legitimate kills. You outplayed your enemy so well that you didnt even need to fire at them. You outmaneuvered your enemy well enough to get them to lose situational awareness and crash. You killed them.
Those missiles are hard to fight but after some trial you got them close and into a dogfight and got 2 solid kills on some very expensive Russian hardware. If that second guy hadnt failed to bail out he mightve been put into a gulag for not even making an effort to not crash the plane. lol
His wingman isnt so lucky, he bailed pretty quick after the missile hit him.
unrealistic how good that missile is. if russia truly had a missile that good, they'd have used them in Ukraine and gained total air supremacy in a matter of days or weeks.
A lot of times, militaries will not use their best equipment because they don't want to give away their true capabilities when there is something perfectly adequate for the job of a lower level.
Use them against what, exactly?

@@joeo2533 Ukraine still as an air force flying combat sorties with Mig 29s, Su-25, and various helicopters. They are daily striking Russian forces. Why haven't they been shot down yet? Russia should be able to hit them with this missile from Mig-31s flying in russian airspace.

Russia has had tis missile since what, the 1970s? And yet no airforce has feared it. Only people on DCS think it's some super weapon.
