Sach batau to C-Section deliveries STATUS SYMBOL ban gaya hai.
    Mera khud ka experience hai.
Apni wife ki delivery ke time mai use Goverment hospital le gya.

I lost my dearest sister in such case, she was under the care of a private lady doctor throughout her pregnancy. Everything was fine with her each reports, doctor kept assuring that we will conduct normal delivery. But at the last moment doctor started scaring us that she is in complication so early surgery is needed. We got confused and agreed as doc said bcoz we trusted her. Within 2 days of surgery, my sister started shivering, doctor sent her to icu, reports came according to which she has septicemia. Just Within two days of surgery her lungs kidney heart blood all got infected and poisonous. The next day she passed away. The pain of loosing her can never be forgotten. She was in her thirties and got married just one year ago. It's a clear negligence and greed that caused it. God forbid it happens with anybody

Notmal vaginal delivery sounds only good, in reality c-section is much better, painless, quick and safe for baby. One mother has to undergo labour pain for 12 hours during vaginal delivery, but in c section it only takes 15 minutes, that also without any pain. Vaginal delivery is not suitable for large babies over 2.8kg, that will lead to tearing of vagina, profuse bleed and sometimes application of forceps...its a nightmare for mothers. C-section is best.

There should be a panel to which Hospital has to submit the report in case of any C-Section delivery and in case found guilty, they should be ordered to pay heavy penalty to Mother/Father for that surgery. This should be a regular process. Developed countries are following this process to control the hospitals from any malpractice.

All this is happening to Indian mothers because Government of India has not made C Section rate at par with normal delivery. Just to earn money and extract premium from concerned parents , private hospitals are pushing C Section by almost 90% of the total delivery rate at that institution.
    1. Government should make it mandatory to give monthly normal vs C Section data to be filed in online portal before taking birth certificate.
    2. Rate for C Section should be fixed as it was fixed for cardiology stents. Some hospital charge premium upto 1.5 lakhs . Rate should not be much heigher than normal delivery.
    3. Gynecologist doing more C Section should be required to submit appropriate scientific information and reason for doing C Section in comparison with WHO guidelines.
    4. All delivery procedure should undergo mandatory trial labour before conducting C Section unless contraindicated.

This is the bitter truth that most doctors perform caesarean sections only for business reasons... Many of my relatives have suffered from this situation.
This situation can be avoided only by education and especially by humanity of all doctors. Only a doctor can advise you properly.

This is true that they are making a business out of it but its not to be blamed on them only coz we too are responsible for it as our NEW GENERATIONs doesn't want the normal delivery but the C-section bcoz they feels its better to maintain their body or the figure and we boys support that wid our lady.

Not to maintain body, to avoid pain. Body changes already due to pregnancy, not delivery. Not excusing c-sections though, just correcting you.

There is a small point that should come to preference that what the birth giver wants, apart from all sorts of facts ,the money, the fitness, complications even if all are fine the birth giver should stl b asked how she wants to deliver for her psychological satisfaction

Exactly!! No one is asking woman, in fact everyone is ridiculing a woman's choice if she goes for c section citing the reason that she doesn't want to take pain. My point is SO WHAT??? Taking labour pain or not should indeed be her choice when that option is there.

You need to get your facts right. And I am not some layman addressing this issue but an obstetrician myself. You might not understand the terms like loops of cord around neck, non reassuring foetal heart rate, foetal distress, cephalo pelvic disproportionation, high floating head, contracted pelvis, non progression of labour, deep transverse arrest etc. These are the common indications of caesarean sections these days. And I neither expect you to be well verse with these terms. Because I have invested 8 years of my life learning these. You go ask the females around you, how many of them are really interested in undergoing normal delieveries. 70% of the females, as soon as they start experiencing labour pains, they themselves start demanding for caesarean sections as they are not able to bear that immense pain. And brother who told you about that long healing curve after the surgery. And complications and pist operative discomfort are associated equally with both normal deliveries and caesarean sections. Your facts are completely misleading. And before you question the integrity of us doctors get a proper research for yourself.

Media raises the issue of increased c section and vilanising doctors but has any time media applauded doctors for the decreased maternal mortality and decreased perinatal mortality
Decreased maternal and perinatal mortality come at cost of increased c section rate

Or agar doctor c section ni krta h or mother ki death ho jati h to sabse pehle log doctor ko hi pit dete h
Or bat rahi paiso ki . To jis tarah se sblog apne job me earn kar rhe h waise hi doctor bhi earn karta hai .
Apne life ke 20 sal dena padta h ek achha doctor banne ke liye .
Doctor ko bhi apna parivar palna hota hai .
Or sirf statistics janne se kuchh ni hota . Pehle medical science ko achhe se jan lo

Not always greed.. lack of knowledge or too much of fear due to knowledge both are dangerous. I have seen some doctors really getting fearful as they will get blamed for anything bad.
Anywhich ways They are trained just to handle diseases..and pregnancy and delivery is not a disease, prevention of disease or critical care.. we need knowledgeable person around while birthing not a doctor necessarily.
I went through greedy system thrice so no judgement about "there are no greedy system owners"

If government brings a rule to regulate the child delivery across the country, in both, government and private hospitals,, and also 1 guideline that C Section will be cheaper than the normal delivery,, then you will see the sharp decline in C Section process happening in hospitals

  • @mandarp9472

C Section is only needed in case of extreme challenges. But todays hospitals, doctors have made it standard practice to make money and can be done in less time with minimal efforts.
But this procedure is bad in the long term for health of baby as well as mother.
