Don't wait till the Bluray, it's an opportunity of a life time, I would go to the IMAX a second time or a third time for the visual and sound experience.
I saw it in IMAX twice and do not regret it. First viewing was incredible and surprising, and the second viewing had me filled with anticipation for what I knew was coming!
A masterpiece. im hoping he goes apeshit with Dune Messiah. to have that whole crew back for a 3rd banger??!!!! It'll be a high water mark for decades to come. I wouldn't be mad if he did Children of Dune as well.........
Even the costume design was amazing. Florence Pugh’s Princess Irulan was regal and pragmatic. Her outfits really matched an aesthetic that fits this universe. I love everything about the film.
Because he takes his acting career seriously. He's very grateful to Villeneuve because he gave thim the oportunity to play a complex character. He said in an interview that he gets "muscle dude action guy roles" all the time and he doesn't want to be "typecasted". It's difficult to get interesting roles with his looks, but so far he's doing pretty well.
I heard rumor that Denis Villeneuve wants to do Arthur C Clarke's Rama. I read all of the Rama books in the 1990's. I hope Villeneuve gets to make Rama if the rumors are true.

Yeah, they couldn't afford Sting so they got Elvis. Anyway, I'd recommend everyone to watch the miniseries from SyFy which is very good... especially the sequels.
Villeneuve, not Vinou. I know it's difficult for English speaking people who are never exposed to French because the sound "eu" doesn't exist in English but you could try to come closer to the correct pronunciation: Vilneve (like Neve Campbell). Thank you.
Don't get me wrong It was a good movie and they did some things right BUT... #1 They screwed up lady Jessica big time. She is supposed to be the most bad assed Bene Gesserit being able to control all aspects of her body and mind. All the crying seemed off and when she puked I was so pissed. That is not the Jessica I know. #2 With the vast story and the limited time I get that cuts have to be made but WHY spend so much time and lines on that no named Fremen girlfriend of Chani? That time could have better been used elsewhere. Like maybe a certain mentat that disappeared from the script? #3 I understand why they changed movie version of Chani but it got to a point where the level of butthurt she had towards Paul was too much for me to bear. Visually stunning but there were too many head scratching moments in this version's story that made me wanting a bit more.

We watched 1 at home then went to the theater immediately after, it was a great time. Also let everyone get a small reset in between before diving in for another 2 hours 45
IMHO it’s ok..I’m sorry it’s a good movie but I think it’s being over hyped..walken as the emperor was eh..stop comparing it to SW ESB or Return of the King..it’s an insult!!
Except.... Return of the King was kinda silly. I prefer Dune without all that clownish shit. Well... the Frodo/Sam/Gollum plot was great, but all the war stuff.... epic in terms of scale, but that's not everything.
@@wanderlust9140no, it’s fantastic, this guy is viewing those other movies with rose tinted glasses. They were great for sure, but I think Dune part 2 is every bit as deserving of praise as those movies.

In my town of Oslo, Norway I know they are screening 1 and 2 together in some cinemas. Maybe check if your city also does this?
