Thanks Rich. That’s one of your gifts if not you gift - creating a space that your guests reveal. Without few exceptions, your compassion and curiosity as well as insights, invite your guests into a vulnerable space and their humanity is revealed. Very few interviewers in my observation can do this. I feel that this is your art. Thank you.

I completely admire Max's point of view. We Are Your Friends is one of my favorite movies and it is hard to impress me. I am starting now in video editing sitting in Ukraine and Max is a real inspiration. I watch all the interviews with him and his RUclips videos are mindblowing!

I love this conversation and I truly enjoy what Rich Roll has to say. But man does he interrupt every single person who comes on his show a lot and talk over them if they try to finish what they were saying. I don't think he realizes or means to do it. Genuinely seems like a great guy. But just some loving feedback to improve the show and conversations.

I’ve read some of these comments about Rich interrupting- however I see this very differently. I see Rich as asking and interjecting some thought provoking observations and I also see that it came full circle in this interview. I see a tremendous amount of love and respect between Rich and Max. It’s what I appreciate the most about this podcast. Rich has an amazing capability of bringing forth observations with deep thought, vulnerable questions, and bringing forth insights possibly not seen before by those he interviews.

This is so good!! I’ve had many moments of being thrilled for guests on this show but Max may take the cake. Incredible convo. Love Max’s story. Amazing outlook and career. He never fails to inspire. It’s great to have his wisdom on a long form show like this. Thanks for having him on, Rich and co.

Love this interview. Been a Max Joseph fan for years. As an executive coach Dick's is required watching for my clients. I love his learnings from failure and the way he talks about his experience creating Dick's in particular. Great job as always Rich with leading the conversation.

this is good. Lots of great insights on both parts. Rich talks over his guests a little too often. I couldn't help but feel Max's frustration of having to hear Rich tell Max about Max's experiences. Otherwise, this is a goldmine of info on the creative life.

    Good evening Rich and Max
So today I attended my less than happy work place, to again hand in my now eighth monthly sick note. To be clear I'm not ill my workplace is, very.
Anyways, was greeted by one of our fabulous reception staff who suggested she had an email message from my lead nurse, it read collect your belongings from flat 5.
To be clear I have been in service as a mental health addiction nurse there for fourteen years and have not decided to resign as yet. Receptionist handed me a bag of all my stuff from my office desk area suggesting you have no desk currently.
This for me was the biggest kick in the guts so far. Following three years of fighting their bullying gaslighting BS.
This for me is quite simply the behaviour of cowardly dispicable nurse leadership, clearly willing to continue their destructive bullying behaviour from a far. Crazy difficult story short.
I wish to maybe one day, tell this what seems an age old story using film, for many eclectic reasons and motivations.
Super grateful for your candid shared conversation.
    💜

Max is super interesting, loved to hear his thoughts. Also loved we are your friends ! 😂 but rich interrupted and talked over him sooo much. idk if it’s the case but it makes him seem judgmental and self involved. Also annoying when ppl give advice when it wasn’t asked for
