Love the points made by Cheska - its not just that our generation didnt experience the tragedy of war or are lackadaiscal about it, because of the military threats and brainwashing regime it almost seems impossible and counterintuitive - if there was an avenue for communication, I think we will be even more active

I don’t know if I would see a unified Korean Peninsula in my life time. But if North Korea and South Korea both allow free migration of people between them. Both Participate in international sports events. It may even provide a relief to the birth rate issue South Korea is having. After all north and South Korean were once part of the same population pool. Other international couples may have other ideas if they married with South Koreans. But as a Chinese grown up in New Zealand, I would like to see a unified Korea someday. Just wish the unification is a peaceful one.

For the reunification of the two Koreas, a major power, for example China, also agrees depending on whatever ideology is adhered to, whether socialist or capitalist

@@Lee.Hsien-Yung there is pros and cons to either ideology. Nothing is perfect. I have seen travel vlogs of Chinese visiting freely in North Korea for holiday on RUclips. It seems socialism can be quite good because your government will look after your expenses and accomodation while you contribute to society during your lifetime. But capitalism perhaps could be different and I have seen how foreign countries may use sanctions as a method to punish other foreign countries. But capitalists may encourage productivity by rewarding positive or negative behaviours.

North Korea would not allow free migration of people from a country that supports sanctions that hurt North Korea economy.

For me, I couldn't blame these Gen Z people if their main worry is the regime of that evil Jong Un. Also, some Northerners when living in the South, face discrimination. Unifying the land is hard to attain these days, due to the stubbornness of Jong Un. What we could unify now, is the North refugees and South people themselves. And this could face a bigger responsibility. Yoon could negotiate for other North refugees if he wishes. But, expect for the worst. Yoon should always have plan B, after making plan A.

South Korea is also to blame to North Korea should not be expected to bow down to South Korea nor do they need to pursue unification if they choose not to.

If North Korea does not want reunification that is THEIR right as a sovereign country.

North Korea does not have to seek unification if they don't want to.

I'm a bit confused by the statement that reunification can be driven by the Korean people. That seems to be a true for South Koreans and Internationally, but how much influence can the people bring to bear in North Korea? Curious that this piece did not touch on the current efforts by the North Korean government to dismantle reunification, including destroying the symbolic gate. Perhaps the survey respondents are reacting to the recent actions of NK versus what is taught is textbooks.

Two ways to different reunifications, pres. Moon and pres. Yoon choose different.

It's so nice how your station censor all the post made on here. So sad. Your station isn't any better than a Chinese station. 👎👎👎 Also the 3 anchors on this show are absolutely clueless. What part of the word dictatorship do they not understand? They talk on here like N. Korea is a semi normal country and that the people have a say in any topic or issue.

So there are not countries that are almost as bad as North Korea let's not mention that South Korea turns a blind eye to Israel. Also search up the meaning of a dictatorship government the North Korea government is run more like a monarchy.
